Wonderful seafood & service! Karla was a great server & helped me decide what fresh fish to order. The sol was 5 star & melt in your mouth perfection. Starters: the cream of crab soup was 4 star, a slight bit too fishy for me. The four seasons salad was fresh, bog & easily shared by two. Mains: ask for fresh catch of the day. The prawns & rice was delicious, the broth was so tasty. The broccoli was a bit too mushy & over cooked in my opinion. Desserts: salted caramel cheesecake & chocolate cake were delicious. Ambiance is beautiful with view of Tagus river but beware of some train & tire noise from bridge above. It is loud at times but don't let that detour you. read more

My wife had a conference in Lisbon...I flew in to join her for the weekend One place on our go back to list from previous visits to Lisbon was this resto We got the same table as all those years ago (under cover but not fully inside - there's a reason for that - see below), but unfortunately not the same waiter who was hilarious...but this guy was good too You don't have to have the fish but silly not to...delicious...and of course while you take your time, washing it down gently with a little something, you can while away the time people watching...its brilliant for that - 5* This is a must on all counts - fully recommended, though it is a little pricy...worth it! read more

Expect to enjoy the experience. Long meal times should be celebrated, most Americans like to eat more quickly. But ease into it and enjoy. The tuna and clams were the best. Well seasoned and tasty. I actually found the cod (bacalau) salty, and I like a lot of salt. It didn't ruin the meal, but I used more bread to help compensate. read more

We went here for lunch immediately upon landing in Lisbon around 1pm. It was a gorgeous location on the water with delicious seafood and amazing service. The staff was so helpful in recommending dishes and we had a really enjoyable experience. The train is nearby so it was occasionally loud hearing that, but nothing they could change! read more

This restaurant was recommended by hotel staff. We had a table of 8. There was another large group celebrating a birthday so that could be part of the reason service was unacceptable. However m, the place is not that big and there appeared to be plenty of staff. Food was passable in the opinion of 6 of our 8 guests. Ambiance was not exceptional. I went in a party of 5. We had hoped to sample authentic fresh Portuguese seafood. This was very disappointing: the shellfish was boiled and lacked freshness and taste, the grilled octopus lacked smokiness of the grill. The best part of our meal was the bread and they charged us each 2.50€ for a few slices! The next day, we went outside of Portugal and sampled true Portuguese seafood for half the costs. save your money and skip this. read more

Wonderful seating looking out to the cute small Marina and the bridge basting in the golden sunset light. It's a very local spot with great seafood. Our waitress told me that they get their fish twice a day, so only the freshest seafood for the restaurant patrons. We ordered tiger prawns and the national dish - Polvo. All delicious. One of my party members is on gluten-free and diary-free diet. They accommodated the special requests with lovely smiles. I highly recommend this place for seafood! read more

Worst service ever! Server felt unwelcoming. Went here because of the beautiful views of the docks overlooking the water by the bridge. Ordered unsweetened ice tea, server gave me canned sweetened ice tea and wouldn't take it back. Ended up ordering unsweetened tea and sliced mango, which wasn't bad. Would not come here again. She wouldn't take the canned tea off my bill. She claimed she asked management and they said no. read more

In a fantastique ambient, surrounded by a bay full of sailing boats, this restaurant gets start from this location advantage. The food was in the average, but a bit expensive. An advice for the Italian people. The waiter, when heard we came from the Bel Paese, called another colleague who showed me several fishes without talking about the costs. I call this review: Mad Chris and the Thunder Bridge. I was starving, jet lagged, and sore from a long first day of touring Lisbon when I walked into 5 Oceanos. Normally, I check reviews first or at least consult the guidebook, but after 17 hours of travel, 5 hours of walking, and 6 hours since my last meal, I just went for it. The experience was not lamentable, but far from my favorite meal in Lisbon (this being my second trip). First the good: the restaurant is in a quaint row of marinaside buildings overlooking the 25 de Abril Bridge or as I call it "the Golden Gate Bridge of Portugal". There is a pleasant waterside chill vibe, at least in the off season. The view alone, makes this place worthy of resting your feet with a cerveja. The waiter was friendly, helpful, and spoke more English than I did Portuguese. The prices didn't seem too bad. Not cheap, but not a complete ripoff either. You have a few economy options to choose from if you hunt through the menu as I did. Now the - I hesitate to say bad - meh: the bridge emits a constant buzzing - like a swarm of hornets - which alternates from background noise to completely overwhelming especially when a train passes over. The food was a massive meh. I ordered the peppered salmon, and it came as I would expect food from any touristy place to arrive: heavy on the cream, overwhelming on the pepper, salmon FRIED (?), and the accompanying rice stiff and dry, like it had been sitting out for three days. I know call this "resurrection rice" as it resembles what it would be like to bring rice back from the (near) dead. I would say it was horrible except keep in mind my distraught state. I just wanted to eat and relax. And it was passable enough to help me achieve that. It was tasty even through the off putting moments of crunchiness from biting a bone, bit of fried meat, or resurrection rice. If you must eat here, you'll live. Otherwise, I say have a beer and run away before the din of the trains and road noise drive you mad. read more

Stiff, quick, unfriendly service with mediocre food. Everyone seemed to tell us 5 Oceans is the place to go for classic Portugese cuisine, while we were on Vacation, and unfortunately we were sorely disappointed. Everything we had was unquestionably fresh, but nothing really popped and tasted good to us. Lovely space on the docs, and if you get there around sunset, like we were you get some wonderful views of the river, bridge and statue. This was the best part of our meal. read more

My husband and I came to this restaurant on our first night in Lisbon. It was recommended by a cab driver. It was just ok, I've had a lot better in the days after. I found it pricey for the quality of food we were served. It was a nice location, right by the water, in a row of bars and restaurants known as "Docas". If you ask me, it's more of a tourist trap. My husband had the pepper salmon and I had the famous "bacalhau com natas". I would not have been able to eat my husband's food, too much pepper, cooked on one side, and it seemed raw on the other. Rice tasted old. My bacalhau com natas, not horrible, but not great either. On the plus side, my husband asked for rum and coke and they were more than generous with the booze. read more
