This place DOES NOT even deserve 1 star but it wouldn't let me rate it any lower. Their problem is with their Diamond Leasing person named "EDDIE"!!!!! He was completely rude to me and straight up dogged me when i spoke with him a couple times over the phone. Today I would've been a full week past due in my biweekly payment. I recently lost my job earlier this month but was able to make the payment before this one that is now a week past due. "EDDIE".....made comments to me that were SERIOUSLY not professional and were not even called for and that really pissed me off and yes I did cuss him out because the way that he dogged me was NOT EVEN CALLED FOR!!!!!! "EDDIE" told me the day before yesterday and I quote....."If you can't afford the car....then how can you afford to pay your other bills??". That comment right there sent me over the edge and SERIOUSLY pissed me completely off and then I snapped on him!!!! HOW DARE HE HAVE THE BALLS TO SAY THAT TO ME!!!! I even tried explaining to him what was going on.....what i was doing so that I could make the money to make some kind of payment (I was riding with my buddy in his car doing Instacart)......and when would be the latest that i could pay (April 5th I could completely withdraw my 401k from my former employer). "EDDIE" laughed at me and told me that if I couldn't afford the car and wasn't going to make a payment.....then they would then have the car picked up. I WAS NOT EVEN ANY MONTHS BEHIND!!!!! NOW A FULL WEEK BEHIND AND ALL I OWED FOR MY PAYMENT THAT IS LATE WAS $260 AND SOME CHANGE!!!!!!! The car was unlawfully picked up and Missouri law was broken!!!!! If I could give zero I would. Got forced into a 14 avenger as "it's all my bad credit allowed" (a kbb car value of 4-5k and I'm charged 12) nothing but issues from the get. Called and called. Never missed a payment despite the piece of crap I was driving . Feb- oct beginning oct car completely breaks. They give me a loaner- after having to argue and EMAIL THE OWNER IN THE CHAIN I emailed and they kept my car until Jan 24. Got it back. New engine. New exhaust manifold and multiple new sensors. . Still have an engine light on and now magically no air conditioning.. they had to tow loaner back bc after it snowed- pot hole popped two passenger tires. What's roadside for right ? While I had the loaner I was attacked inside of it. Tried shooting the attacker- shot myself in the hand. They said I need to pay for the damages from BEING ATTACKED. Not the attacker . They added on insurance when I proved I had it. I paid my payment on time- without their add on fees for their insurance and from Jan 24 till feb 12 I incurred 300 dollars in "insurance" charges when it was supposed to be 64 a payment .. so in less than a month I was charged double. Didn't pay - they had proof of insurance on the car. They claim it was not active . Bc it won't cover ME BEING ATTACKED IN YOUR LOANER CAR??? Must be lying huh?? They then stated "you're behind on payments, we can take it w no warning" "we don't need a reason, we will make one up" "we aren't a lender we leased the vehicle we don't abide by the laws lenders do". My mom needed a car months later so I said mom go here and get your car she said ok. So when she went I co-signed for her but she put her own money down. So here is where the trickery and lies come in. I was told that this was a referral. So when I called to get the referral money they told me since I went on the loan I don't get the referral money. However she wouldn't have know about the car lot if it wasn't for me. I did what I had to do to make sure she got the sale. Because she could've went to insta credit auto mart and got a car for the same money if not better. So morale to the story please make sure if they tell you about a referral program or payment make sure you have a clear understanding. read more

First I worked with Ken, and he let me just say he was not the best person to work with. As I was sitting at his desk he played music on his phone, how professional. He also made side comments about my credit. I have worked at a dealership previously and let me say this was by far the worst experience ever. To be a sales person and solely sit at your desk and wait for people to come to you, simply shows the laziness you have about working. You can tell he either is new to this or simple doesn't care. When you see a customer not in the best mode when you're trying to see a car. He asked me repeat questions that I had already put on a credit applications. DO NOT GO TO HIM. If I could give this poor excuse for a company NEGATIVE STARS, I WOULD! This is, by far, the WORST 'car dealership' in the St. Louis area! This company preys on people who have NO OTHER CHOICE than to go to them to buy a car. And to say they can finance anyone? For just a nickel down-payment? That is a straight up lie. They CANNOT finance ANYONE, unless you call leasing people a car over 10 years old, for over DOUBLE what it's actually WORTH, making them put a $1650 down payment on it, and making the payments due every two weeks, for a nickel down!!! This is what happened to us. And not only did they do that, they would NOT stop pestering us about payment when it wasn't even late AND insurance when they HAD the documentation that we had insurance! AND, when we went to drive the car off the lot, we noticed the windshield was broken! Their service department passed inspection on a car with a broken windshield!!! They had to back track and give us a loaner vehicle AND tried to make us feel 'special' because 'they don't usually do that'. They pretty much HAD TO DO THAT after their monumental screw up! I know, this is a SMALL TIME CIRCUS of a dealership, but come ON! Then, when we DID have the car and got a little behind on our payments (but were in contact with them about when we could get caught up), without so much as a phone call or a right to cure letter, they came and repossessed the car! And how would we even KNOW it was them calling when the caller ID says Treasa Turnbaug and not even a company name when they call??? SO UNPROFESSIONAL!  We were 1 and 1/2 payments behind, with payment arrangements in place with them!!! Before the tow truck driver even had the car hooked up I offered to pay them over the phone for the past due amount. The completely clueless person, who can't make ANY decision without his supervisor, wanted to argue with me about it. For 18 minutes! The tow truck driver took THIRTY MINUTES to hook my car up and haul it away and 5 Star did nothing to rectify this. After speaking to another uneducated person there, calling herself a manager, we were told we would be able to come and get the car the following Monday (this was Friday), as long as we paid the past due and storage fee. We said we could do that. She called us on Monday to confirm that on Wednesday we could make the payment and pick up the car. On Tuesday, the same 'manager' called us and told us upper management had decided we should 'part ways'. So, no reason why was given and no opportunity to make the past due payment and a half to get it caught up so we could have the car back AS AGREED UPON ON FRIDAY AND THEN AGAIN ON MONDAY by this 'manager' who ALSO has no authority to make decisions at 5 Star, obviously! We made a verbal agreement with her, and THEN she comfirmed it a few days later! I'm so disgusted with every single person who works there because of the fact that...they work THERE. HOW DO THEY SLEEP AT NIGHT screwing up people's lives like this? There are laws in Missouri stating the 3 things a lender needs to do BEFORE repossession and this company did NONE OF THOSE THINGS before taking our car away. Don't EVEN GET ME STARTED on their BOGUS extended service agreement that when you call the 24 hour roadside assistance, they don't take the call OR call you back to help you! This company should be SHUT DOWN along with Diamond Leasing/Finance!! They 'pretend' they are a different company than 5 Star, but they are NOT. They lied to me multiple times to sell me the car and when i went to get the tires replaced that they gave me they trued charging me more than the tire was worth. I would stay VERY far away from them, i saw Erica in service talking on the phone to a customer who said there were unexpected hidden fees and when she was supposed to transfer the caller to the Paige location she lied and told the customer Paige never answered. I will never purchase another vehicle from here or refer a soul. Once you purchase they are done with you. I was locked out my vehicle due to a lost key and needed tow service. My insurance company didn't have any available providers in network so I contacted the dealer to ask for the number for the roadside assistance they give when you purchase the vehicle for tires which also offers other road side assistance such as tow not related to tires and lockout, battery, etc. I was told the service department only has this information and they were closed. I asked to speak with someone who could at least give me a name or number for the company the dealer uses and was told they would send out a email and some one would call me ( this happened Saturday it is now Thursday and I still have yet to receive any calls from anyone) after calling back again I was given a number and told it was for roadside assistance. Well the number lead me to some guys voicemail and definitely was not for roadside or a tow. I asked to speak to Bernie the sells guy I dealt or a manager. Again told a email will go out and I would get a call and everyone was busy . Today Thursday I decided to go to the dealer to speak to someone about the issue of not being helped and not being able to be simple provided with a name or number. I was told that the roadside doesn't cover this or that it cover tow but it limited this and that well guess what I needed a tow. Attitudes were Nonchalant as if really they could care less. Victoria then brings up out of nowhere my male friend who works for another dealership (Who did help me in getting a key) and tells me he should have this information. Excuse me he has nothing to do with this and I purchased my vehicle from 5 star. I then went back to the service department because my oil was being changed they were nice and guess what I see a huge sign the the roadside that say 24 roadside service for towing , lost key, lock out etc. I then looked at my service contract with the dealer and guess what there is also another company for roadside assistance. I then went back to speak with Victoria who told me I had none of these service to ask for clarification on if this roadside assistance on my service contact was the same as the tire roadside and if did I have access to these services (no longer talking about the key just general towing for future) she tells me this roadside is for if my engine goes out on the ride of the road, I said realistic who knows what's wrong with their vehicle when they are stuck on the side of the road. I need to know can I call them the idiot then visibly get frustrated with me and becomes completely unprofessional and get to rambling on and on about a key. I advised her that I she was now being unprofessional and providing horrible customer service she told me she was not. Then again that I was no longer asking in regards to my previous situation I was inquiring to have knowledge on who I needed to call for future assistance especially being a single mother with young kids. I told her that as a consumer of her service she could not tell me how I felt. She then started rolling her eyes and said well I'm on lunch so sorry I can't help you. Well why on earth did she interject herself when I initial asked to speak to someone else. Victoria is rude, unprofessional, and she will dismiss you and your concerns just as quickly as she get you to sign off on your paperwork. I told her she has lost a customer and I would not refer anyone to this dealer and she said she could care less. Horrible experience I was upset to the point of tears leaving this place. Never again I plan on posting this on all my social media platforms for all of my thousands of friends and follows to see. I bought my vehicle in January and I completely regret it if I have to deal with this type of customer service. Deceptive Marketing, Their commercial states a Nickle down and have a job making "X' amount a paycheck they can get you into a vehicle even with poor credit, they elude to payments of around $150.00 So I went to their web-page to look into getting a vehicle. To be able to even look at their "Exclusive Inventory" you have to give your phone number, email & Name. This is marketing 101, I was expecting the call at some point. The call came, I spoke with Christine and we talked about my credit situation and what I was looking for as well as using my existing vehicle as a trade-in. Her words were that; right now our lending team is aggressively pushing loans through to hit their end of year quotas and it should be no problem. We don't even pull your credit... I said ok this sounds good and we should meet the next day, she sent me a link to their financial application which I did fill out and waited for a callback, it never came. I decided that before I drove the 60 plus miles to her location I had better call first.. I am glad I did... I spoke with Victoria who told me a completely 180-degree different story which I was very happy with her for telling me this because it saved me a trip. Victoria let me know that they do and did run my credit, that the Nickle down can be done, but the monthly payments on the vehicle that we were in the market for would be well over $300, and more likely closer to $600! The Nickle pickle and the $150/mo payment is for a person with near-perfect credit and (Her words not mine) a very small compact car... This is an example of deceptive marketing known as "Bill Boarding". You run a marketing campaign that is so awesome that everyone will be curious, but in the very small print or in a speedy monotone voice 10 decibels lower than the original commercial, they state the truth. So technique they are not lying but they are also not being forthright with the reality. I just want to thank Victoria for being honest with me, and to let management/ownership know that she is the only reason that "5 Star" is not just getting one star in this review. read more

They are liars and used a bait and switch type tactic. Their idea of in house financing is a lease agreement. You lease the car for 2 years, pay an ungodly amount every 2 weeks, and you have the option to buy after 2 years. They don't say that the agreement is a lease agreement until you sign the papers but don't have time to read the small print. The "sales" guy did not say anything about the lease, and we were under the impression that he was buying the car; you lease it, not buy it. He tried to put me in something with a $500 + car note basically telling me thats the only option I had not knowing what type of down payment I had and using my car as a trade in. I proceeded to tell him no I'm not going to be in that high of a car note and that I think I'm going to wait until I build my credit up to get in something i want. HORRIBLE DEALERSHIP, COMPANY DISRESPECTFUL OF VETERANS, & COMPLETELY THE SAME AS EVERYONE OTHER DEALERSHIP This was by far one of the absolute worst potentially buying experiences of my life. I found a beautiful truck for my growing family, and I made an offer. I was called by a woman who assured me that the truck I found would not be sold out from under me and she seemed very pleasant in scheduling me. My family and I then proceeded to drive an hour to get to this dealership three hours earlier than our appointment was scheduled because we were all so excited to be getting a bigger vehicle. Upon arriving we were greeted by a nice enough salesman, and he assured me that I made a great choice. We went inside to continue the process and we listened to his song and dance about how this dealership is a "reverse" dealership and the whole skit about how they operate. Well after wasting 2 hours there only to be told that this other customer who previously purchased a car from that lot was unsatisfied with purchasing a full size sedan and since it was 100 days ago his buddy salesman has basically upgraded him, and we had to watch as the truck was detailed and then brought right in front for him. When I asked the salesman about how in the hell this happened and was allowed to happen he decided to tell me that they have several other trucks and I should go check them out. Well they did have another 5 or 6 trucks, for 2-3 times the price mind you. I then asked the salesman if they had any Armed Forces Veteran discount, and he proceeded with smirking & having to ask the sales manager. Another 45 minutes goes by and now this Nickle Pickle Sale turns out to be Bullshit, and they want what a sizable down payment & an additional cosigner. Great service department! I was way overdue for fixing several tricky suspension problems on my 2007 SUV. 5 Star was the third mechanic I tried. (The others did not even test drive it before quoting, and they fixed only part of what it turned out it needed, or sold me new tires, neither of which solved the problem, which was excessive road noise vibrating up into the steering wheel.) But 5 Star test drove it, quickly sized it up (control arm, and broken springs), started work the same day, finished it on time the next day as planned, for the price they quoted, which was reasonable. I came in about two weeks ago to potentially buy/look at the available cars. The prices weren't on the cars at all, which I could deal with, if I didn't have to ask my salesperson multiple times for the total price of the car, the main reason I'm writing this review is because as I decided I wasn't going to buy a car because the insurance would've been to high, I walked to one of the back rooms and I told the manager in the office that I would probably go somewhere else and he said and I quote "what're you going to do just rely on people to get you to point a to point b?" Aside from that there were cars that had major cosmetic damage and potentially mechanical damage, there were a few cars where the bumper was literally zip tied to the car. My salesperson Seirra ate sunflower seeds the entire time I was there and I was there for more than a few hours. I don't recommend this car dealership, you're better off paying the sales tax and going to the dmv because they say they pay sales tax but they just lump it together with your high interest loan. read more

i was able to trade in my truck, and significantly lower my payment (which was incredible), and while I was at the location the team was more than helpful. I was advised that I would receive $300 worth of free gas, which is great! Unfortunately I wasn't given a card/voucher in order to redeem this promotion. I called and was treated rather rudely when I asked where I can ascertain the card. The gentlemen advised he would mail it out to me. Long story short, that did not happen. I called again, with the same response. I then Emailed my concern to them, and received a response from someone excitedly telling me they couldn't wait to help my referral with a new car purchase. At that exact moment I understood exactly what type of business I was dealing with. I've since Emailed again and have not received a response. They did, however, reach out when they wanted the spare key to my truck, which they won't receive due to their inability to correspond with existing customers. While I'm extremely grateful the team was able to assist in lowering my payment and getting me out from underneath an upside down loan, their lack of follow through and service makes them hard to trust or deal with. read more

So we went and let me just say they paid off my other car loan and got me in a 2019 Chevy Equinox that I absolutely love. Purchased vehicle with a factory warranty still on it until 60,000. When purchasing was sold EXTENDED warranty that was sold to me as starting AFTER the factory warranty was over. When I call to get the number for the warranty company I'm informed I'm out of warranty because my EXTENDED warranty started the year + I had my vehicle from purchase date while ALRRADY COVERED under factory warranty!! Why would anyone spend this kind of money on a extended warranty when you already have a factory warranty that covers everything and expires shortly after factory warranty does. NOT PLEASED! Was surely not impressed by the professionalism of the staff. Was there waiting for over half an hour without even a hello, finally went out and browsed the cars I was interested in. Came back in and waited again. The same guy that passed me a dozen times finally took me into his office, but then left for another 10 min. Never once did he introduce himself the entire time I was there. He just asked immediately for information, I showed him the cars I was interested in and the blue book values they I researched. He laughed. The values were the fair market value and the dealership amount. They are asking double the price. Still with no introduction, he left the room again. Grabbing a cigarette and didn't come back for over 30 min. Probably close to 45. When finally returning. He says they have to give me a call another day cause it's a 3hr. Wait. Now, I have no idea what he is talking about at that point. I was just wanting to get some information and prices in the cars. He says they are waiting to hear from the bank... Well, communication would have been nice. I am nolonger interested in buying a car from this company. They need to lower their prices a notch and work on their customer service skills. The service department here did a great job on my car under the worst circumstances. The parts supplier was giving them trouble and they really went to bat for me. Daniel in the service department is a really good guy and on top of everything. A very knowledgeable and helpful department that went above and beyond to make sure that my vehicle was taken care of. If I could give this place less than one star I would. Not only are all of the cars well over priced, the man who "helped" us was less than friendly. He treated us like total crap for wanting to find a car we could get a $150/m payment on. Maybe it's not ideal, but it's our situation right now. He repeatedly mocked us and laughed in our faces for having such "high standards". We never spoke with the finance guy, just the sales guy, Eric. We were told not to go look at other lots. We were asked if we were "100% in" and were told he needed to know if we were "all in" before he did the work for us a few times.
