We have been going to 5-Star Nails for a few years now! Such a relaxing, fun, energetic environment. Everyone there is always so friendly and makes our experience great. We enjoy getting fun accessories painted on one toe nail and they always do such an amazing job with the art work. Let me start off by saying, I'm a fairly shy person and I don't advocate well for myself... but I also feel services like this should make it easy to get what you want without having to feel like and imposition. Putting a reservation in was a bit weird. I called in the morning but their hours on Yelp were wrong, so they didn't answer until the fourth try. Then, we had a large group so I wanted to be polite but they didn't take my name or anything, so I felt anxious about it all day. Didn't really have enough people to help us all at once (group of 6), which is why I called ahead in the first place. They seemed bothered by it all. They didn't ask us about any of the packages and their menu wasn't visible upon walking in, or I might have upgraded. I also don't like not knowing how much something is and just having to wait for the "surprise" at the end. At some point, I feel like I shouldn't have to be apologetic for getting a normal service done. Another person came in with the same appointment time and got served before one of our group did...which is fine but we were there first and we also had an appointment, what's the point of a reservation? They have a nice set up for kids. They have smaller seats and little laptops with shows for them did to watch as they sit there. Overall though, they weren't too nice to the kids and didn't respond to the kids' questions or requests. I think they were mad because they assumed (because they're boys) the kids didn't want any polish and had to go back to color their nails for them. The pedicure I received was nice and thorough, but basic. Like I said, I would have upgraded if I was offered the option. They have free WiFi, which is nice. The nail color I requested was labeled wrong and I got the wrong color. I was too frazzled at this point to say anything. Communication was difficult too. I don't normally mind and I don't prescribe to the "learn English in 'Murica" argument. I'm just saying we couldn't communicate anything with the employees well and that complicated matters too. read more

Very mediocre. The bathes are not lined with plastic for sanitation. Only had 3 members on staff on a Tuesday afternoon. Made an appointment and still waited 15 minutes until they began the process for our two regular pedicures. The polish job was done well, and they are big on lotions and massaging, which was nice. I went here today for the first time and took my four-year-old daughter. I got a pedicure. The woman giving the pedicure was very polite. When I told her I wanted white polkadots on my nails she let me know ahead of time it would cost extra and asked me if that was okay. Very honest and professional. I did not feel pressured into buying any additional services. She did clip one cuticle too close I had a little bit of pain and it bled a little bit. It was not a big deal I think those things happen from time to time when you're getting a pedicure, but I did take away one star from my rating for that reason. I was very happy with the quality of the work. My four-year-old daughter used one of their mini pedicure chairs and had the time of her life!! The little chairs have DVD players attached and they have a variety of kids movies. Each employee that came in contact with her was sweet and lovely to her. They did an excellent job on her pedicure and also painted her fingernails. It is a really great and fun thing to do with your daughter and I will go back here again for that experience. read more

We arrived on time with my party, there were 3 of us, two adults and one child (3 years old). We were promptly taken care of. 4 stars for: fast service & friendly, foot spa massage chairs, kids spa chair w/ DVD player (the DVD player was ON AND READY with an entertaining Disney movie. I think it was frozen. Just had to hit play. Major plus!) the kids chair had a color changing light in the foot bath, fun. They gave us little bottle water. Nice job with the polish and the kid got fingers & toes plus nail art painted all for about $20. What a smokin deal. Minus one star for: foot soak water only barely LUKE WARM, massage chairs were a little beat up (cracking seats & remote button cover). One of ours was missing button cover on the top half of remote, luckily the super nice guy know which buttons to hit to make it work. Also, they accidentally used the color I picked on my kid instead of her choice of color. Crisis averted when she didn't notice. Over all, this was a decent place at a good price en to get a quick polish and catch up with a friend while the kid got special treatment. I will likely return. read more

Bleh. Service is awful. Friend went in and asked if they had spots for 2 and they said yes and then we got there and i had to wait FORTY mins while hers were done and then did mine. Colors don't match the samples. THEY CHARGE $5 TO SHAPE THEM! Literally they charge if you want round. Coffin. Like what the fuck? Am i supposed to have square nails?!?! Salon is dirty and not renovated. It was $38 to get a damn fill! Will not be back. Save your money and go to Bells nails down the road - they're cheaper, way prettier work and way nicer. wish i could get a damn refund. read more

One of the the better pedicures I've received, I think with one of the male staff they have and one of the best massages I've received from a spa which was much appreciated. I loved the cleanliness of the place. One thing I would recommend is increasing the amount of regular nail polish they offer, and a bunch of the colors I liked were crusty, old, or almost gone so I had to opt for a color I didn't particularly love. The price was comparable to other spas around the area, however the $30 price tag usually gets me wax and I really enjoy that. I understand not everywhere gives wax, but I just enjoy that particular service. The owners were out of town the day we went and the front desk temporary lady was extremely friendly and helpful, I had no idea she was just temporary until she told us. I will definitely be back and hopefully have the same guy give me my pedicure. read more

Based on the reviews I booked an appt for a regular manicure and glitter toes. I've never gotten glitter toes before. But signed up pairing it with a spa pedicure. The staff was very friendly, but the manicure was rushed. She didn't take care of my cuticles and still had dry skin prickling out around my nail beds. (Not sure if that makes sense) Coincidentally my brother went to the same nail salon the following day for a manicure to come across the same problem. As for the Glitter toes.. for my 1st experience it was not what I expected. I thought I would be sat at the spa pedicure chairs, instead i was seated at a regular nail salon chair. From there, the poor guy continued to work on each foot putting acrylic was with glitter on my toes. I admit, I do not have dainty lil petite feet... so I felt bad him having to twist and turn my feet each way to get the acrylic on each piggy. I don't normally wright reviews but had to for 5 Star because they were s 5Star rating! I have been searching for another salon to get pedicures at for over a year due to the fact the one I was going to changed ownership and wasn't the same. I finally found it! It was my first time today and when I walked in I was immediately greeting by a couple of the women who worked there... I went about 1/2 hr after they opened so There was no wait. I sat down and let them know this was my first time... They asked my name... Brought me water and immediately were ready to make sure my first time would bring me back.... It is a family owned salon and Henry who is one of the owners gave the massage part of my pedicure and did an amazing job! He talked to me the entire time and educated me on the products he was using because I chose the $40 pedicure that was all Nu Skin products. He was very knowledgeable because he is actually a Nu skin distributor. He told me how passionate he was about Nu skin and as s result got rid of the chemical lotions that they used to use.... As we continued talking I learned about him and he shared his story with me... He was such a humble man. He literally came to the U.S. For the first time over 30 years ago and stayed with a sponsor family in PA. Went to school/college and studied engineering. He moved to UT because he got a job with a company here... But after a while he wasn't happy in what he was doing ...and quit his job to help open the salon with his family, they have been there for over 10 years! Also, as I am sitting there everyone coming in the door who you can tell frequents the salon is welcomed by a hug from Henry's wife...What salon do you go to where that happens? As I was sitting there getting my pedicure as well I start looking around and noticing how everything is spotless... Then I notice as they were finishing up other customers... They immediately cleaned up, wiped things down and were deliberate about the cleanliness.... As I asked questions, Henry told me that even though they aren't open on Sunday's, they all come in and clean for 2-3 hours to include everything... Even the ceiling and dusting light fixtures, etc! It was noticeable! Both Henry and his wife continued to use my name the whole time I was there and "checking in" with me as to my satisfaction in how things were going.... Thank you, Henry and staff for an experience that set you apart from the rest! You definitely make a difference in the service you provide! I have to say, my experience was very similar with that of Jessica D's review below. I left with a feeling of uncertainty - as in I'm not certain I'll be back or not. I really am not into pushy sales and I definitely felt like they push add ons and services you really do not need or are there for. The staff were not overly friendly, friendly enough I would say. The beginning of my pedicure entailed 2 staff standing over me talking and I was left feeling a bit uncomfortable. My technician was to busy engaging in the conversation and I was nervous I was going to be nicked a few times. I don't know how I feel about the sanitation. Nothing was opened in a pack in front of me and it looks as if they reuse the foot razors. I will say my skin does feel nice and moisturized and the polish does look good. This salon is standard in the way of nail salons. They sell NuSkin products so plan to be up sold on those products. I went in wanting a pedicure with just polish and was up sold again on shellack. My nail technician would not take "no" for an answer and I walked out paying an extra $15 for shellack. When I had called they were eager for me to come in and said they had plenty of openings. While I was getting my nails done another call came in and the person was told they were very busy despite having available technicians. After the call they proceeded to tell everyone in the salon how horrible that customer was and that they wouldn't do business with her. I can appreciate that clients can be jerks and you pick and choose who you will work with, but it is unprofessional to trash talk former clients to current customers. They could have quietly handled the call and moved on...because now I wonder what they're saying about me! With all the nail salons in town I'm not sure I'd stop back to this one. read more

I was very impressed with 5-Star Nails and Spa. As I was getting my nails done, I spoke with a customer that has been going there for 9 + years and had a good relationship with the owners. She was an older lady and the owner/workers took care of her (It was very sweet to see that). The workers were very kind and the place was very clean! I did go during the first week of re-opening after COVID-19 and they had the place very very clean and were cleaning every station as they finished with each customer. Rachel did such an amazing job on my nails too. They look so beautiful! I used to love this place a few years ago, but it's been not great experiences the last 3 times. I continue to give them chances! But this is the last time. They didn't even greet us when walked in. They decided what pedicure we were getting without even telling us, which by the way they did not even do all the steps for the selected pedicure. My toe nails where chipped when I left. They didn't even put a top coat on. We were in and out in25 minutes which is not a good thing in this case. They had 1 person in the store when we went in and even made an appointment. There wasn't even a massage, I had to almost beg for it. The nail tech (one of them) was so rude. And we are known guests. I wouldn't waste my money here. read more

I've been getting my nails done for 10 years and decided to go with my friend to a new place. This is where we ended up, well unfortunately this is the worst experience I've ever had. I got stuck with kathy (if that's even her real name) the entire time she was doing my nails I knew I was doomed. She clearly had no idea what she was doing, cut me and made me bleed EVERYWHERE! I told her to stop so that I could clean up the mess, or wash my hands and she literally yelled at me! Finally I just said I'm done, and walked out with half done nails... luckily the owner Lin saw what was going on, took over and fixed (as best as she could with what she had) and I ended up leaving with finished nails. However I'm cut to pieces, with nails all different lengths and thicknesses etc. Biggest waste of money I've spent in a long time. I just wanted square simple nails.
