This place is horrendous and absolutely terrible. My boyfriend and I had 5-Star Plumbing's technicians come out in February of 2023 to repair a leak at the front of the house we live in. The technicians who arrived initially quoted my boyfriend $295 to which THEY said was the TOTAL amount that was going to be charged for the full repair. My boyfriend agreed to the $295 as it wasn't as costly as what we expected and the techs who came out seemed knowledgeable and trustworthy-- or so we thought. They supposedly "fixed" the leak only to charge us $1500 instead!!! Because my boyfriend signed the work contract for the $295 but the techs changed the final total on the contract to $1500, my boyfriend refused to pay because again-- the $295 was the initial agreement my boyfriend had initially confirmed with them. Because they already completed the service and expected payment, my boyfriend said he would pay only $200-$300 more to which he did. When he stopped paying them, one of the techs came back to the house a week or two later banging on the front door demanding the rest of the payment and threatening us from outside if my boyfriend didn't pay. We have footage of the tech banging on our doors and garage on our Ring camera, but I don't know how to upload the video. It also wouldn't make sense to post screenshots of the video now because of what I still have left to tell... Just wanting that nightmare to go away, I took over the rest of the payments paying in full months later. FAST FORWARD TO DECEMBER 2024, another leak opened at the SAME EXACT LOCATION the 5-Star Plumbing technicians "fixed." We called 5 Star-Plumbing again explaining what they "fixed" back in February of last year was becoming an issue again and asked for one of their techs to come out to rectify the problem. The 5-Star Plumbing technician they sent was Fernando who confirmed the leak was coming from the SAME PIPE THEY INSTALLED. He also noted to us that one of the techs who installed the pipe in 2023 WAS FIRED FOR NOT DOING HIS JOB PROPERLY so there was no way they'd be able to get additional information based off our story and theirs. The pipe Fernando referred to was a copper pipe that had a hole in it. Copper pipes are supposed to last 30-50 years. The copper pipe 5 Star Plumbing's techs installed only lasted 1 year and 10 months. If we paid ALL THAT MONEY... $1500, only to have them charge us ANOTHER $385 almost two years later when their techs installed the copper pipe incorrectly, how is that reasonable?? MAKE IT. MAKE. SENSE. While they claimed that the warrantee on the service expired-- if YOUR former employee who YOU FIRED FOR INCORRECTLY DOING HIS JOB was employed at the time HE incorrectly installed the pipe at your clients' place of residence, doesn't that nullify the expiration of the warrantee?? Again, MAKE IT MAKE SENSE!!! It was a whole back and forth with the 5 Star Plumbing office admin who we spoke to over the phone because 1.) Regardless of whether she said that their techs completed their job in 2023, the quality of their technicians' work resulted in a faulty pipe in 2024 that THEY installed which is a huge disservice to me and my boyfriend as paying customers. And the pipe should have lasted for YEARS, not 1 year and 10 months. 2.) When we asked to speak to the owner directly, the admin kept deflecting our requests and straight gaslit my boyfriend over the phone. He was livid. I was livid, and frustrated and straight pissed. We ended up calling Guardian Plumbers. When we called Guardian Plumbers later that afternoon, they were able to get a tech out here quickly, and he showed us the pipe those 5 Star Plumbing techs installed. I've attached a photo where you can see the hole on the pipe. You can also see a welt where the pipe should actually be smooth but from what the Guardian tech explained, those shi**y 5-Star Plumbing techs overheated the pipe which weakened the copper that held the pipe together. Thankfully, Guardian fixed the problem and we have been going to them for our plumbing needs since as they've had consistent results-- positive AND they always explain to us step-by-step how they fixed issues we've had. It was Guardian's tech who explained that the pinhole was caused by overheating as well with the leaky pipe situation. Take our advice: To preserve your mental health and sanity, STAY AWAY FROM 5-STAR PLUMBING. GO WITH GUARDIAN PLUMBING. Guardian Plumbing's techs are fair, reasonable, and provide excellent customer service. Can't say the same for 5-Star Plumbing. After all the trouble and inconvenience they caused us, they should be named No Stars Plumbing. To 5-Star Plumbing: You can improve your business by providing QUALITY work to your customers, not rip them off when a disservice was performed on your end (former employee you fired who worked on the job we ended up paying a ton for), and most especially DO NOT GASLIGHT YOUR CUSTOMERS for their truths!!!! Had a faucet shower leak and a faucet leak in the sink. I believe the person who showed up was Fernando. For the shower he stated he had never heard of the parts on my shower faucet and would have to call their parts place. While he was there, I found the parts on the Home Depot website. He installed a new faucet that I had on the sink and stated he would be calling me back on Monday ( this was a Saturday) regarding the parts for the shower. This company is horrible. They have an amazing ability to simply ignore and leave client's in the dark. We were assigned them by our home warranty company for an EMERGENCY plumbing issue and they showed up a day later and showed up incredibly late to the scheduled appointment. Then we were told we would receive a call early in the morning to continue work but as it turns out the technician failed to submit his report until after the end of the workday. We had to call twice throughout the day only to be told by Letti, "the tech hasn't submitted it yet we'll call him again". Finally by the following day it was confirmed by the warranty company who told us the report was sent after regular business hours. All the tech had to do was make a call! Then when speaking with this company they insisted the tech would call us and to no surprise he never did. Excellent service!! Fernando came out and fixed my leaking copper pipe under slab. Very professional. checked for water pressure drop none was found thank goodness. After further inspection of our water pressure, turned out our pressure was over the recommended range and both agreed we change out the 29 year pressure regulator. What I really liked was that time was taken to explain what the issue was, what work will be done so there's no surprises and even show home owners how to take care of their home to prevent further issues into the future. Our kitchen faucet was leaking. We thought it needed to be replaced. So, we bought a new faucet and called 5 Star Plumbing. They responded promptly and sent a plumber the next day. When Fernando arrived he was able to assess the situation and gave us a better option for our 1954 year old home. This is the perfect name for this company. Fernando jr. came out to look at our 1950's leaking bathtub faucet. We had lost hope because 2 others informed (guessed) that the faulty "part" was no longer made (the stem)...no one took it out to look at it, which we knew involved turning off our water and physically taking it out. He did that, and found that the seat was cracked (a small little part), and no problem with the stem. He got the part and repaired it. He identified the stem's brand, in case we needed it to search for it, in the future. We are so happy..the other two wanted to install all new fixtures for quite a bit of money without ever going over the basics of a leak. Five stars is more than just their name. It's their service quality. My house is old enough it collect social security, so naturally there's something wrong with the plumbing. I just finished using my garbage disposal to destroy all the sweet potato peels that I had spent all dinner prep peeling. And that's when it happened the sink started to back up, the water was orange, and the smell was horrific. So, naturally as a strong independent woman, I took the plunger to the sink and prayed that would work. It did not. Then I call on my strong and handsome husband who begins to take the ubend apart and doesn't see the problem. And that's when we knew we had to call a plumber. after a referral from a friend we reached out to five star. They were able to come out the same day. He instantly saw what the problem was. So this is the 2nd time that Ive tried using 5 star plumbing. The first time was when my water heater busted 8 months ago and I needed a quote to replace. 5 star quoted me about $700 dollars more than the other plumbers who gave me quotes. Needless to say, I went with somebody else and just figured they were a bit higher (no worries, water under the bridge). The 2nd time was today when my sprinkler water pressure regulator went bad. My usual plumber doesn't work weekends, so I figured id give 5 star another shot. Fernando showed up on time, accessed the situation and quoted me $750 to replace. My initial reaction was WOW!! Now, Im not an expert so I just assumed thats what the price would be. 5 minutes after they left, my regular plumber gives me a call and tells me that hes in the area and is going to stop by and check the regulator (GOD IS GOOD). He stops by, looks at the problem and quotes me $210 to replace and perform the same work. $540 LESS!!!! I immediately called 5 star and ask them to cancel the job. Definitely a little upset, but just relieved my original plumber called. Fernando calls me back a few minutes later and ask what the issue was, and if it was the price. He states that he would work with me on the price if that was the issue....?!?!?!?!?!?!?! (I thought to myself, why didnt you just give me the best price upfront). I politely let him know that I found someone who will do it cheaper and is of high quality work. I let him know that the $750 was too high, and shared with him the prior experience about my water heater. We wished each other the best of luck, and ended the conversation. 5 star customer service is great! Its everything else that I am not pleased with. One of the worse feelings in the world, is when someone tries to take advantage of your kindness. DISCLAIMER: I am only leaving 5 stars out of respect for the company and its current standing (rating). I hope that they do the right thing going forward. 5 Star Plumbing is very responsive and honest. We had a toilet that would not flush and our current plumber told us it could not be fixed and we needed a new toilet. We have Koehler toilets and only 7 years old so I searched for a new plumber. 5 Star was the first plumber to call me back and Mike was great. He asked me to take a picture of the mechanics inside the tank and serial number. After he saw the pictures he knew the toilet could be fixed and set an appointment for the next day. I called around and found 5 Star Plumbing. They estimated they could do the job for less than half that amount. I scheduled the job with them and they arrived exactly when they said they would. First time I have ever used/needed a plumber. I called to set up an appointment and they were able to come out the same day. Not only did he come but he unclogged the drain that very same day. I have one of those retractable faucet heads and did the mistake of taking off the faucet head without holding onto the retractable part and it got lodged into the faucet. After my boyfriend couldn't get it unstuck, he got in touch with 5 Star Plumbing.
