I called and scheduled an appointment with them to replace our kitchen faucet and received an appointment the next day which I appreciated. The technician was very friendly and courteous but, and it's a big "but" he quoted me $900-$1200 for a kitchen faucet and another $1900 for labor. He also stated that his company couldn't guarantee the installation because our water pressure was over 100 psi. Plus he needed to replace our angle stops which would be another $350. I purchased a faucet at Costco for $125 received other bids for less than $300 labor, called our water provider, CVWD and they were aghast that the plumber said our water pressure was too high as it's at 550 psi which is normal for our area and equipment. After I declined to hire Pride Plumbing I've received over 14 text messages and emails from them although I replied with "stop" on their texts. I've now had to block over three different phone numbers yet today I received another text in which I responded again with the reasons why I didn't hire them. Im a senior living in a beautiful community but cost is a factor when I consider vendor services. It's my opinion that I felt taken advantage of and have written this review. read more

My tiolet was running and I called this company to get a estimate. I had submitted a request on yelp for requests for a few companies. I had called this company because we were speaking via email. I just had some questions after receiving my first estimate from another company. The gentleman who receives the call is the Owner answered the phone because he stated he receives the overflow. He was so informative. When I say to you the best ever the best ever!!! He provided so much information about what could have been the issue. What was the issue? How to resolve the issue brands all type of plumbing stuff!!! The information he provided was so resourceful so great. Now they did come out and give me an estimate. I decided not to get the job done completely, not just from this company, but in general. The gentleman that responded to the call and the guy that came out to give the estimate they were very educational about Plumbing about toilets, I was just so in shocked.I would definitely do business with this company if I have other issues. I live in Palm Springs and called Pride Plumbing for help with work related to a kitchen renovation. I had high expectations based on their Google reviews and clear communication with dispatch. Sadly, the experience I had was unlike anything I have ever experienced in my 20 years of homeownership. Here are things to watch out for with Pride Plumbing of Redlands and Palm Desert: 1) bait and switch service scope and pricing; 2) sloppy and legally-insufficient estimates; 3) inexperienced plumbers with very poor communication and interpersonal skills; 4) promised and broken arrival times; 5) inability to work cooperatively with other tradesmen (by their own admission); 6) customer blaming for their miscommunication; 7) unfamiliarity with high-end, European-made gas appliances (by their own admission); 8) leaving metal debris behind for the customer to dispose of; 9) not providing customers timely copies of their estimates; and 10) not providing customers copies of paid receipts for work. If you have a mid-mod in Palm Springs or a kitchen renovation with high-end European appliances, I do not recommend Pride based on my experience. They'll arrive late, argue with you, overcharge you, waste your time, and then not give you a receipt. read more

We had a sewer blockage late on a Saturday that was backing up into a shower. We called Pride and David came out first thing Sunday. Not only did he snake the line and clear there blockage, but he offered to camera the line for free which showed our line to be in good condition. He also removed and resealed our toilet. We had a Moen flow installed 11/24 and it had failed multiple times as documented by the app. However, we only came to learn of its failure through an actual water leak where the City notified us on 6/26. Even with proof that this piece of equipment failed within months of installation Pride refused to honor any warranty. As the warranty "claim" was outside the 1 year period. They then quoted us $2,500 for an install on a new part. Mind you this same piece of equipment sells for $600... I already had paid for them to dig a 6 foot hole in my front yard and upgrade all the piping to this device in late 2024 for $3,400. I am greatly disappointed in the customer service of this company. I have used them in years prior for a few jobs in the Big Bear area and all I can say is as a normal customer how would we be alerted to such failures until an actual emergency arises and you review the data? It would be unreasonable to discard a warranty under such circumstances while data from the OEM proves otherwise. The biggest insult is the price of the replacement part. The previous install was less than 2 hours for the actual device and the piece product itself is $600. read more

Master bathroom bowl was leaking and shower head knob always wanted to arm wrestle when attempting to shower. Bill and Dave introduced themselves immediately when I opened the door. Thomas showed them the problem and of course when you call the doctor for help the patient is no longer sick.... No leaks. They repaired shower head with no problem. We would STRONGLY RECOMMEND "PRIDE PLUMBING SERVICES!!! There are few companies that are as honest... their card says "Love your country, Love your Plumber. First, the good -- they were able to schedule an estimate quickly and Edward assessed the issue with the gas control valve on our HWH. To be fair, that was easy as the valve blinks an error code. The not so good: He quoted me $728 (labor only) which would include getting the part replaced under warranty with the local supply house. I thought it was high but willing to get it done as we were without HW. He got the new part and installed it. Upon completion I asked why there was still a strong odor of gas and he said it would be gone in an hour. The bad: The next morning, the odor was still there, so they sent out another guy, who checked a few connections, replaced the supply hose and still couldn't figure out where the gas odor was coming from. He told me that we would have to open up the heater (cost of $1500-2000), which was a non-starter. I pointed out that he hadn't checked the valve connections the first guy (Edward) made the day before and in two seconds, he found that they were not even hand tight. He was surprised, apologized multiple times and went out of his way to tell me that he wasn't trying to sell me something I didn't need. After tightening, the gas odor vanished. You would think that properly tightening a gas line on a part he just replaced is step one for any plumber and I'm still shocked that Edward left it in this dangerous condition. And, if I wasn't there to oversee the follow-up work, I would have likely been charged for an unnecessary and extremely expensive repair. I'm pretty sure the $728 for labor alone is at least 50% more than I should have paid, given other quotes. Given my experience, I would avoid Pride for any additional work. read more

Great news. They do great work. I have had them out several times and what they fix stays fixed. Bad news. They are constantly trying to sell and they are way over priced compared to all others. If they were reasonably priced, and would stop trying to sell, I think their work is excellent and they would be my go to plumber. They wont be invited back because of the pricing though. Update: The company responded to this review claiming they fixed the leak. They did not. Their technician did not find the leak. We did not authorize any repairs, nor were any completed by a Pride Plumbing technician. Note, the confusion over what work they actually did and did not do in someone's home. This is a great example of the disfunction a consumer may face when attempting to do business with Pride Plumbing. Regarding the CSLB case, the CSLB did not move forward as they do not have the ability to force restitution. However, the complaint against the company remains within the CSLB's system and violations can be issued if/when there is a pattern of complaints. So far so good. These guys came out today. Their names were Tyler and Junior. Very professional. Tyler was able to show me things that were so helpful especially during emergency situations like the one I was pretty much in. In all the years I have lived here, no other plumber or general contractor has been able to figure these simple things out. So I am super grateful. Basically, my water heater spewed out gushing water AGAIN yesterday, and not only were they able to fix the problem, they were able to determine the actual root cause of this problem that I have been having for years, which saves me a ton of $$. Just wish I knew of them earlier. I would've saved a lot more. Now I am just waiting on an estimate. Hopefully their price to fix will be reasonable. Also, communication has been stellar, from making the appointment, all the way to their arrival. For example, if you call them, they pick up or call you right back. They also communicate thru texts and let you know when they are on their way. They arrived exactly in the time window they said they would, by the way. Fast response and able to install a new water heater on Memorial Day. Adam was very nice and answered all of our questions.

Pride Plumbing came quickly and did a quality water heater and pressure regulator install. The tight space available required some creativity to get the new unit and required code upgrades to all fit, but they didn't give up until done. Even a necessary switch from a standard heater to a slim model did not deter them. Probably not the cheapest option, but worked with my schedule, did not nickel & dime me or try to sell unneeded upgrades, and did quality work. We hate having to try a new service in the middle of an emergency but being that none of the local plumbers in Big Bear Lake could helps us as our upstairs shower was leaking into our kitchen, we had to call Pride. We did not believe for a minute they would be willing to come up the mountain...wrong. They said they could be there within two hours. Mr. Bill showed up within about an hour and a half. He was incredibly professional and nice. He was quick to show us our problem and fix the immediate issue. He also explained the next steps we needed to take to get the remediation process started. The pricing was very fair. We were not gouged or taken advantage of. We were really nervous about having a plumber come out that we didn't know. But we called on Saturday and they had someone here first thing Sunday. We had a leak in our septic and he figured out and fixed the problem. We had the house snaked and also took a camera into the pipes. Couldn't beat the price and Adam was super friendly, prompt and knowledgeable. Even just calling the office to make the appointment the girl was so kind and helpful.
