I'm never one to leave a bad review but my experience here had me in tears when I left and I thought I might help someone else avoid this mistake. I came on my lunch break for an eyebrow threading after doing them myself all of quarantine. I specially requested a clean up and to keep the same shape. I noticed the lady who was doing them was going to town and had a feeling she was taking off more than I asked for. After a few minutes she kept looking at my brows and taking off more and more without asking or showing me (they were uneven) when I looked in the mirror I was left with skinny old school brows. All I could saw was "oh wow" I didn't want to make a scene so I quickly paid and left and cried in the car. I've been filling them in for the past week now. If thin brows are your thing you may like this place. But if you're up to date with current eyebrow trends I highly do not recommend going here unless you want your day to be ruined. read more

This was our second visit to this salon, and I can't praise them enough! I have been burned before at cr@ppy places that were popular, and spent way too much $$ for terrible service and results. I liked the reviews for 5 Wild Hairs, so we tried it. Three of us, aged 12, 16, and 40-something, all received quick service, done gently and with expertise, at an extremely reasonable price! She has a soothing touch and the whole process is easy and gentle and stress free. I got a facial from Sandy today and was completely blown away. She is so highly skilled as an esthetician and has a very warm demeanor. Along with the facial, she gave me a hand legs massage as well which was so calming. I just moved to the area and was looking for a good place to get my eyebrows threaded. I chose 5 Wild Hairs because of the positive reviews and I was not disappointed! Sandy did a great job. I'm always hesitant trying a new threading salon because I like my natural eyebrow shape and size and have had issues with a "clean up" turning into making my brows way thinner than I wanted. this is the first time i've been here after a lot of search and review for eyebrow threading. They do a good job with the threading. But this place is a little intimidating. The lady who did my eyebrows has a strong tone. She asked me to scoot up in the chair in a very intimidating and loud tone- which honestly was not a very comfortable chair for a short person, and later on when I did not stretch and hold my eyebrows properly she used a similar tone which I personally don't appreciate because it made me feel a little uncomfortable. But otherwise in terms of the job she did good. read more

As much as I hate getting Brazillian bikini waxes (ouch!!!) - the esthetician at this salon is so very nice, and good conversation keeps me distracted from the pain I'm enduring during this service! I am consistently satisfied with my results (yesterday was my 4th appointment - she suggests coming back every 4/5 weeks - no shaving in between). I can't say enough about 5 Wild Hairs. Love this salon. I've been going there now for almost 4 years for eyebrow threading, never have to worry about the outcome, always perfect! I had my first facial this past Saturday with Sandy, the owner. It was so relaxing and my face/skin felt so clean and soft afterwards. I have had many facials over the past 20 years and honestly, this was the best I ever had. One thing I appreciate is while she lets the mask do it's work, she massages your arms and feet... I got to experience the hair stylist covered in tattoos answer the phone, she was so rude to the customers on the phone, I saw her make ugly faces and roll her eyes. No wonder it's always empty. I came here through an Amazon local deal. I was hoping for the best due to the great reviews. I gave two stars because the woman doing my Brazilian waxing answered some questions, but she seemed a little snappy. I took away a few stars because she burned my skin! Not because of the heat but because she waxed the same spots over and over and over. I've been to other salons so I know that you aren't supposed to go over the same area many times, and she did! I had two blisters and my skin was all peeling down there :( I don't want anyone to experience that. Also, she left many hairs and sent me on my way. They weren't tiny either. I've read that she does good threading service, so maybe try her for that but stay away from Brazilian waxing!!! read more

I got a my brazilian wax from sandee and she did an amazing job. Very fast and it was a lot less painful than some other salons I have been to. The wax was the perfect temperature and sandee is very friendly and is great a making it a comfortable experience. I have been here a couple times and have never had an experience this bad. The women who threaded my eyebrows was very aggressive and the next day there were several little cuts right below my eyebrow. I appreciate the fact that they are inexpensive but I would rather pay more money than have a sore patch under my eyebrow for a few days after the threading :( will not be going back again.. read more

She was very informative about how my eye brows grow, how she will shape them, if I am ok while threading, all around very caring and concerned for how comfortable I was. $8 for threading is the best deal in TO. Sometimes they even have groupons or coupons floating around. I've been here twice and each of my threadings were discounted off the already low price. The wait usually isn't long at all. The staff are very friendly. They get you in and out pretty quickly. I will be back and would recommend this place to others. read more

I've come here three times now.. The prices for threading are great (don't get me wrong) but my eyebrows are never even when I leave. I first gave this place a try in May 2012, left with half of my brows taken off, and the right side significantly more curved than the left. I had to walk at CLU (graduation) with heavily drawn brows to try to even it out. I tried it again twice in 2015, the latest being in October 2015. Same results. I'd recommend the Oaks Mall's place for better results. However, the price range here is much lower. read more
