Came here for years and had check ups done here. Then i needed a crown while i had braces from another facility. I paid for a crown, and They measured me for the crown but when the crown came in, it didn't fit because my teeth shifted. Obviously, i had braces. They wanted to charge a second time for a crown for braces i already had and teeth i didn't know would shift so much. I never got that crown here because i refused to pay $1500 for 1 crown. This is very good dental clínic in the Bronx from the receptionist Lisa and all others in the front desk and the dental assistant Francesca very professional . Dr. Wong is amazing dentist puts on that anesthesia you can't even feel the needle explains the procedure very well professional and as a good bedside manner and demeanor . They also stick to your appointment time so you are not waiting so long . The place is clean very well run. I'm going to be honest with my review this is one of the worst places I've ever been. If you come across this review do not go to this place first off. I came to this place to do my braces as soon as I enter the door after making an appointment, they told me you're gonna have to pay $5000 for your teeth. They didn't even see what I came for how much my teeth will need based on how they look a professional will usually see your teeth before and see how much you will need based on your teeth and how they look so I thought that was normal And me being stupid, I decided to pay I thought that was normal pricing. They kept telling me every time if I needed bottom braces, although they charged me for top and bottom. I tell them I don't know I'm not a professional. Do you think I need and they'll say I don't know what do you want. absolutely unprofessional. confronted them about it. They still owed me $50 and never gave it back. This is one of the worst unprofessional people. Every time I come to the appointment they tell me what do you think we should do? Should we add bottom braces? Should we tighten it? Should we? . They shouldn't be asking me. I didn't go to dentistry school. honestly if able to give them zero stars, I would just don't make the same mistake and go to this area and this shitty area should be shut down. people don't pay money to have bad service and ruin their teeth. My teeth hurts because they tightened it very hard on the right side now, I still have to wear my retainers because I don't want the gap to come back. They tightened so much there always hurting every time although I wear them every day, but my right side is very much in pain. didn't fix my crossbite ruined the right side of my teeth owed me $50 unprofessional care they give. Update on my previous post. Despite multiple attempts to obtain my records, my calls go ignored. I receive incomplete info, and staff seem to lack compassion for anyone suffering. My pain was so bad I requested an extraction which 505 actually refused to do unless "I considered other options they recommend". I decided to call dental schools that told me the price that was quoted feels more like for someone uninsured rather than my highest level of dental. Called my insurance. They found me a provider with better scores that offered to do the worm for a tenth of the price quoted by 505. Ponzie scheme. They only care about money. read more

The only reason they are getting two stars is because of the office staff such as Lisa. I went in and they completed a filling to which the dentist states will need a root canal down the line. Unsure how down the line is one week later. When I went back they wanted me to pay the deductible. Turns out they changed their name and were no longer in network but never shared that with me. I asked for an extraction so I can get a spacer. They instead asked me to reconsider to which I requested to get a comparison bill. they only gave me a quote for the root canal and not the extraction. I have called back three times a day since and have not heard from them to schedule the extraction. I also am getting random bills even though I paid there via my debit card. For two and a half years I had my braces done. After they were removed they gave me two retainers which did not fit. Within a couple of weeks they both broke and they replaced only one of them. Doctor D told me he used Crazy glue for his. Really? I can't believe that this 78 year old Dentist told me that after working and supervising other dentists during each visit. I'm so disappointed because I had developed a good relationship with my hygienist and everyone else there. They're only there once a week so if you have to come in for an emergency fitting for new retainers your teeth already spread and it's too late. When I first walked in it was clean they took my name and I waited . I went back to see the dentist they took my x ray. The doctor look at my teeth and told me what I needed . The front office staff neglected to tell me when they booked my appointment that they don't take me insurance but when I set it up they told me they DID it was a waist of time . They communication between the staff and doctors about there patients are horrible .when you book a appointment make sure you ask all the details even about what you need and insurance because they will not tell you at all . They are always arguing and management always talking down on staff right in front of patients. Today I arrive at my appointment 10 minutes early. I asked for an update 40 minutes later since I haven't been called in. A hour later the dentist assistant tells me the dentist left 30 minutes after I arrived without checking if his patients where in the waiting room or any update. Bad reviews suck. But when you play with peoples pockets, it's the least someone can do. If you want to get scammed, this is is the right place for you. I took off work to go as a new patient for a basic cleaning. Over the phone they don't tell you, your first visit you're only there to discuss their plans after they find a whole lotta sh** somehow wrong with you. (Which they will) use little scare tactics to make u feel you will loose all your teeth in the near future. (Never heard this before) They come out with a well sarcastic over priced bill and tell you how they can help you pay it off. They ran my credit and said I needed a co signer. I asked about the cleaning appointment and told me first appointments are only for x- rays and "plan options". I guess by plans they meant payment plans. They never told me I cannot get a cleaning on a first visit over the phone. 2-3 weeks later I chose to go to a different location, and the dentist not only couldn't stop laughing at the "plans" and prices 505 threw at me, but showed me the actual work that needed to be done. At almost half the price!!!! Also said even if the work they'd promised was to be done; it was overpriced. Even before I saw my new dentist, I spoke to a co-worker who had exactly the same done to him at 505. It's real clear what they're after, and it's awful. read more

I chose this place because it had good reviews, as far as the doctor patient relationship goes everyone is respectful and doing their job. When I talked with them about my situation I feel like their answer to everything is the most expensive solution... Now the thing that made my today's visit my last is the wait time. So I've been scheduled to do crown and the appointment was scheduled for three weeks from the day they prepared the tooth. They scheduled me for January 25th on which I showed up for them to tell that my crown is not ready and that they will call me when it comes in. It's been more then a month for me to get a call from them and schedule a new appointment which was supposed to be done long ago. I have a feeling that they made it sound so quick just so that I would agree on paying for it... Also the appointment times don't matter here. If you are scheduled for 1:30 like I was today, now it's 2:45 and I'm still in a waiting room wasting my only day off... this is third time this happened here and that sums it up why it is my last visit here. I was about to do Invisalign with them as well but I guess I will just pick someone who cares more about their costumers than they do here. read more

They suck!!! They make you wait for hours and over charge for the work they do. I left my job early to get to my appointment and had me waiting for hours. The dentist suggested I get care credit for a certain amount then they raised the price on me saying I need more work done but when they saw me a week before it was a cheaper price. They never completed the work. They never keep appointment times when you show up. I had a very very bad tooth ache and was seen by Dr Farin . He assured me the pain would go away once he gave me a root canal. The root canal was not painful. I saw him for two visits , going for the third visit. The workers are also friendly. read more

This place is so unprofessional it's under construction and only have one surgeon doing surgery. Apt was at 10 am and it's an hour after and still not seen. Spoke to the manager on duty and said that unfortunately the doctor is backed up. If doctor is backed up tell the patient once checking in that it's going to be a wait rather then have an upset patient sitting and waiting and when asked when will i be seen say there is still a patient in front of me. This place needs new management to analyze the business more and also hire more staff due to the fact the appointment book was so heavy and full. Why have a book full and there is only one person ? Does that make sense? Is there a sense of urgency when it comes to the patient coming in on their day off and have errands to do after here? Is it fair customer service doesn't not take place here as to communicating with the patients prior checking in it will be a wait and that the doctor is backed up due to the fact there is only one doctor. Maybe patients will understand if it was told to them at first . Horrible service . Wanted to also check my teeth front desk said they didn't have the ability to look up my insurance and tell me my out of pocket cost if i want to see the doctor she made me call my insurance. I work in the optical field as a manager cultivating exams and walk ins are extremely important because it also helps with driving the business. My teeth are so aligned and straight. The doctor is great and has been very patient with me. The doctor will explain everything to you once you are approved for the treatment. Previously my mother had service here and we paid via the care credit card as it was the best option - $3k procedure paid over time. So we came back because she had severe pain turns out she needed extractions. They told her they no longer take care credit cards so she presented her health first card and they said they accepted this insurance. However, the dentist then noticed her insurance (thought she didn't understand him speaking English) and they didn't do the extractions because apparently health first doesn't pay him enough. They lie to her and say "we don't know when the surgeon will come back" and send her off with all the pain she's in somewhere else. She waited for hours to get seen only to be turned away because her insurance doesn't pay enough. What a scumbag. I get it, you need to make money, but she was in severe pain, she waited to be seen, she was already sitting in your chair, you were already prepped for the extraction, you should have just done it. he staff is great they take care of you and they are polite. dr.ross and the other dentist are very rude with nasty attitudes. dr.ross told me i had the wrong color hair for the jewish holidays, i'm black. he also asked me if i even knew what dental implants are, because i was black. dr. ross kept asking me to pay 2,000 dollars for extra work. they did a really bad job and now i have to get the work done all over again if you have good insurance don't go there. they love medicaid the best. my insurance only covers 4,000 worth of work but not what dr. ross wanted me to do, i should report his to the board. read more

Today I went to get my yearly cleaning and check up. When I left out of there with a toothache, uneven teeth, and a headache one of the worst experience I ever had at the dentist. For seven years Dr. Gold was my dentist now that he sold his portion. I tried someone new. First the Dental assistant inexperience did my x rays of my teeth forgot to cover me with the blue radiation blanket to cover rest of my body parts then did not put a plastic bag on the metal utensils only on the gray piece which help take pictures of the tooth. Then went to the Dentist chair he drill me so hard until I felt it all the way to the bottom of my jaw. I almost flew out the chair. My tooth now I can not even close my mouth saliva is coming out my mouth while writing this review. I been coming here for years My tooth is hurting me, have a headache. I cannot eat.. Where do I begin..... I came to this place as it's close to home and I was in horrible PAIN. As my bridge became loose and anything I drank was hitting the nerve. Ok so I see the doctor he puts a temporary solution on my bridge; until approval from my union is done. Here is where it gets GOOD....As the approval was taking so long my toothe was killing me. I returned to the office and the doctor told me; I could go see someone for surgery, but I would have to pay. Here is my issue...WHY refer me to someone that doesn't take my insurance; and I would have to pay over $900 dollars. He calls to make me an appointment and is hounding my to make an emergency appointment. As I kept telling him I need to discuss any out of pocket costs with my husband FIRST. I kept saying to myself this man thinks he is about to get a cut of this copay. NOT....After a diligent search via my unions handbook; I found a GREAT place that took me right away, at NO COST. Not only did I get 2 bridges at the top, Also received Xrays at NO COST. My insurance DC37 covered EVERYTHING. And to make matter worse METROPOLITAN DENTAL and 505 is calling me CONSTANTLY telling me my union approved the services. Honey my teethe were fixed MONTHS ago. I have asked SEVERAL times to stop calling me as I will not be returning. EVERRRRR AVOID this place and the girls are so HOOD it's crazy. The dentist viewed my child teeth and was so upset at what he saw, while commenting on her teeth, he was cursing in front me and in my childs face. Not only making me fell uncomfortable, but it made me furious. Then the hygienist also had her own opinon. Both dentist and hygentist spoke loudly and rudely right next to me about my daughter and I with another patient. The only people who were friendly and professional, was the receptionist with the blonde hair and tan skin, and the one dental assistant that gave my child and x ray of their teeth.
