The two amazing women running the office and front desk as well as Dr. Chassen and his assistant were all amazing! My family and I are so thankful they took care of us right away! I called desperately on Tuesday 4/13/21 because I've been struggling to find a specialist endodontist to see my 13 year old Son who had already received a referral for a much-needed root canal on a broken molar. His pain was getting out of control and worsened as the days went by. I took him to an urgent care, then they referred me to the dental place located on Kossuth @ North Central. They did the exact same thing his referring dentist had already done, gave another referral and repeated what he needed yet refused to treat him there. I must have called over 30+ places throughout NYC and none would make room for him. Only one made an appointment but in June when he needed to be seen a.s.a.p.! Our appointment today on 4/15/21 was initially just for a consultation with Dr. Chassen being that this was my Son's first time in his office. The wait time was very short. We were seen a few minutes after completing new patient forms. Once the doctor assessed my child's situation, seeing it was severe, and the two women who run the office for him explained everything we were going through in-detail, he made an exception and decided to perform his root canal today, the same day of our consultation! I can't thank you all enough because my Son is no longer in pain. The entire procedure was about an hour and completely painless. My Son barely has any swelling and says the doctor was great! The doctor even found an abscess once he got in there which was causing my Son's pain and would only have gotten worse if we waited to treat him like every other place was trying to make us do. My child literally has zero pain and hasn't needed the pain medication at all after leaving the office. They're the best, professional, clean, they listen to your needs, and they care. Dr. Chassen definitely knows what he's doing and he made the experience completely painless! Last week thursday, was my first ever appointment with Dr Chassen. I have to say I would without a doubt recommend him to anyone. First thing, the office was impeccable. Like everyone, COVID has me anxious so I was very alert of my surroundings. I was greeted by Brunie (sorry if I spelled your name incorrectly) very nice woman who guided me to the office since it was first time going there. After filling out paper work, I was guided to another room for an xray and I have been to several dental offices in manhattan and I got to say his office definintely has advanced technology which, I was impressed and happy with that. The dental assisstant, i'll call her La vie est belle, (she knows why lol) was very professional and kind. Now, as far Dr Chassen he greeted me kindly and he showed me exactly what was going on with tooth, after numbing me i felt absolutely no discomfort or pain during the procedure. They even provided some ibuprofen in case I was in any pain after numbness subsided. The whole procedure did take time, butl I appreaciated the thoroughness of his work. The whole appointment went smoothly. Dr Chasen has light hands and a warm disposition I think even snoozed lol. Overall a pleasant experience and I would not hesistate to go back. read more

In anticipation, I was extremely apprehensive because I had traumatic memories of a similar 3 hours procedure done 62 years ago at the age of 14 in order to salvage a tooth. The procedure took about an hour and I was truly amazed and appreciative of a complete reversal of my initial fears. I cannot be more satisfied with the expertise or the positive outcome. I had emergency dental surgery, a root canal to be more specific. I was in a lot of pain and was quite concerned about how the surgery would proceed. It went very well. Dr Chassen was pleasant and very reassuring which I expected but was still doubtful. After the bill was paid(painful but necessary) I sat in the chair he applied a numbing liquid on my gums using a swab like tool. Next the needles filled with Novocain were administered. He waited a while before beginning the root canal but before he began he gave me another needle to be sure I would feel no pain and I didn't. As the surgery proceeded Dr Chassen handled it with skill and surety. He didn't missed a beat. He knew what he was doing. He was assisted my a very knowledgeable dental assistant. He told her what he needed to complete the root canal and she delivered it very professionally. I was impressed by Dr. Chassen. He made be feel good by words and deeds. He is as smooth as the Smooth Jazz he plays throughout his medical suite. I had a choice of which endodontist to go to and I chose him. It was an excellent choice. I rarely give any reviews but I had to make sure I gave Dr Chassen and his wonderful, and beautiful asst. Juliet this review. I have been to many dentist in my life, and I have had all types of procedures done. But what made this procedure so special was the speed and precision from Chassen and his asst. I needed a root canal done on tooth number 19 which is a massive tooth which had 4 nerves in it. One they began the procedure Dr. Chassen began to intensely work on the tooth and make sure i was relaxed and comfortable. Once his assistant was needed, she came in and UNDERSTOOD THE ASSIGNMENT without much communication needed between the two. Every instrument needed was in his hand and ready to go without him looking back once. It was a thing of beauty. It was as if they were passing the baton to each other everytime. This allowed the root canal to be faster than I anticipated. I was so impressed with the speed, and precision that I had to give them a compliment once done, and as well as on this site. This office provides exceptional quality care from the moment you book your appointment to the moment you walk out of their office. Bruny the receptionist is very helpful & informative when it comes knowing insurances & patient responsibility. Lilly the dental assistant was delightful to speak to while waiting for Dr. Chassen. I love that they have television's in the exam rooms playing soft jazz music. It helps ease your nerves to help zone out the drilling noise. Dr. Chassen pulls up the X-rays on the TV & thoroughly explains what is happening with the tooth which helps you feel at ease about the procedure.I had a route canal done, didn't feel a thing during the procedure & post procedure.The I can't often say it was a pleasure to meet a dentist but this went exceedingly well. I went to this office because I needed to see a specialist in regards to a very painful tooth infection due to root canal done years ago else where. The first day was a consultation, minimal wait time and very thorough with explanation of procedure. The reception Staff were very kind and advised me on what to expect On my next appt. They called me with an appt reminder and to ensure I would have a meal before the procedure. The day of procedure they ensured me I was in good hands and would experience little to no pain. I have had numerous dental work done at other locations and the level of accommodation and care was exceptional. It's nice to receive genuine service. Dr. Chassen is such an experienced dentist, helped saved my tooth and had such a kind energy. I felt so at ease. I went for a root canal and he was made me feel at ease during the entire process. He made me feel comfortable and is very patient. He is very friendly and has a great staff. His staff is also friendly, approachable and respectful. They had appointments that were always readily available and once you are in there you are not waiting a long time. I liked the quick service. He did a good job with the root canal and it didn't take long. They even provided me with 6 pills of Tylenol which was very helpful because I thought they would have just told me to go get my own pills but the fact that they gave me some pills before I left was really nice. Highly recommend Dr. Chassen. I had a difficult root canal that needed to be performed. I was referred to Dr. Chassen and I could not be happier. The Office is clean, he has a very professional team working under him and he has great chair-side manner. He made me feel very comfortable so that I would not feel a thing. My anxiety (something I developed in my later years!) does a number on me, but Dr. Chassen recommended using the gas and it totally worked and eased my mind. My father went to Dr. Chassen for a root canal he was referred by his dentist. my father is one of the pickiest people you will ever meet in your life who has something to say about everything he is in his late 70's. when he came out he was very happy and had nothing but rave reviews about this man. I couldn't believe i. He didn't have one complaint we were shocked. This doctor is excellent, has amazing bed side manner, respectful, intelligent and a pleasure. My father barely had any pain afterwards and Inwas even more shocked. I would recommend him to anyone. My mom kept making sure I wrote the review cause they were so happy with him. I would be remiss if I did not write about the amazing experience I had with a root canal with Dr. Chassen. Dr. Chassen and his staff made it truly painless! Yes, you read that correctly! He explained every step of the procedure in understandable terms, and was so gentle that I literally almost fell asleep twice during the procedure-this was not due to any anesthesia,as he used local painkiller injections in the nerves. His work was so sure, steady and gentle that it was easy to almost drift off! He also took into accout my other heal issues to be certain the was no additional impact. I left Dr. Chassen's office earlier today after he performed a root canal on a previous root canal that had gotten reinfected. He couldn't have been nicer, explaining each step as he went along. He drilled through a crown, did the job and gave me a temporary filling until the healing process is complete. Unfortunately my insurance did not cover it, but you do get what you pay for ;-) -- I felt absolutely NO PAIN, and have complete faith in the man as he has been doing this for 40 years! For anyone complaining about price, I hear they do these sorts of things cheap in Mexico (I'm actually not joking as I have had friends who have done this). I am a 78 year old female senior, and I had a Root Canal procedure done by Dr. Stuart E. Chassen, DMD today, that was completely pain free from beginning to end. He did a great job in less than an hour, and for a reasonable cost. I had visited Dr. Chassen's office a week earlier for my consultation appointment . The ladies on his staff were very friendly, helpful and professional. They knew that I was nervous and they helped me to relax and they made my visit a pleasant one. I was told by my dentist that I needed to have an old root canal replaced, and they recommended a few endodontists. I chose Dr. Chassen--and I'm so glad I did! From start to finish, he did an amazing job. Staff were great and efficient. The entire experience was smooth, professional, and honestly far better than I expected. The numbing was perfect--no pain at all with the Novocain--and the procedure itself was quick and completely painless. Even hours later, once the pain medication wore off, I felt great. Stuart Chassen and his staff were and are AMAZING!! I grew up hearing horror stories about root canals, and though I was in pain when I first entered the office, the staff quickly made me feel better at the consultation. because I was in so much pain, Stuart got me in the next morning for the root canal, and I did not feel a thing. There was no pain during the procedure, and days later I was pain free. We laughed much of the time and it was over before I knew it. I was referred to Dr. Chassen by my dentist who had started a root canal on a second molar as I had been experiencing excruciating pain due to a crack in the tooth. As it was an upper tooth which is more difficult to work on and my dentist was concerned that I might need to have the tooth extracted, he referred me to Dr. Chassen. He was amazing! His injection was painless and the whole procedure was smooth and efficient and I did not feel any discomfort throughout. Dr. Chassen was able to clean out the third canal and save the tooth. Let me start off by saying this office is very professional and clean. This is the second time that I was in need of doctor Chassen's expertise on reworking an old rooth canal. God bless this man's hands, because I literally felt no pain a little pinch with the needle for the numbing. I didn't feel any pain during the procedure or after. Had a very pleasant experience with Dr. Chassen and his entire staff. My mom was recommended to Dr. Chassen because she needed root canal. Although she was very anxious about the appointment, she was made to feel comfortable both by the friendly competence of the staff and the pleasant environment of the office itself.
