Purchasing a new floor for your home consists of two elements. First there is the sales element. 50 Floors sales representative was knowledgeable and professional. He took time to understand and satisfy my various questions and concerns. Further, he made several suggestions as to both type and color of the flooring. I'm glad I followed one. As for the installation. It was also outstanding! They had to move some fairly heavy furniture that they did efficiently with no complaint. And they exhibited great care in 'matching' planks to avoid adjacent planks with similar patterns. I am absolutely delighted with the end result! read more

Recommend that you do not do business with 50 Floor.... This is what my $20,000 purchase adventure has been with 50 Floor: Purchased tile for main floor and carpet for 2nd floor in a 2150 sq ft townhome... Tomorrow will be day 11 of our tile installation - 6 more than sales person represented, 4 more than tile installers quoted, and the 50 Floor Installation Manager couldn't care less "it's up to the installers". Not anywhere near done. Needing another 2 - 3 days assuming they could 1) show up, 2) work more than 5 hours a day. Very poor experience due to inadequate controls over subcontractors. 50 Floor Installation Management not motivated to help consumers once the sale is complete. Subcontractors do not feel obligated to perform and complete job in stated timeframe, work full days to complete task (less than 5 hours every day), begin work day on time (often more than 2 hours later then their stated start time), announce to consumer they are taking a day off for personal reasons despite job not completed/already days overdue. We've rescheduled other subcontracts twice to accommodate their inability to complete job at out of pocket costs to us. We're unable to recommend 50 Floor due to inability to control subcontractors and misrepresentation of service and performance consumer should expect during installation process. As of this week we have main floor tile not anywhere close to complete - and are trying to manage other contracts around their deficiencies - upstairs carpet arriving on Monday, painters arriving on Wednesday, furniture arriving on Thursday. The 10% more you will spend with other suppliers will be worth it to you. P.S.: Carpet guys were great. read more

When they arrived they tore out all carpet and padding. Then found out they didn't have enough padding or carpet ! So now I have exposed nails. A razor blade was left by the window. The staircase is not secure with old carpet put back on. The manager hasn't return my calls. Said he will expedite the order but isn't sure when it will come in! I have 4 kids whose bedrooms are all upstairs! I am hosting Christmas at my house. The customer service is awful. read more

Great service. Everything from start to finish done right and on time. Salesperson very knowledgeable and observant and correctly ordered the flooring, transition pieces and quarter rounds. Workers called, showed up within the timeframe, finished the work and left all on the same day. The work was completed neatly and no mess or fuss. I was home but didn't even need to be here while they were working. I never saw them take a break or eat lunch. Horrible experience with this company. Book my flooring almost 2 months ago and still awaiting my tile installation. the communication is terrible, no one contacted me to tell me my product was back ordered multiple times, delaying the installation. I escalated my concerns to general manager Joe Bell, who promised me that he would personally follow my case and expedite installation once product came in and he provided an anticipated arrival date of the product. he diverted my case to someone else named Shawn that is also full of excuses as to why the tile isn't being installed sooner. the product finally arrived and I'm being told that other jobs have been prioritized before mine, even though he provided two installation dates and told me it would be done on one of those dates. now I find out that the installation date is pushed out a week later because they have one tile crew and booked the later date they originally gave me for installation. when I spoke to Joe about this he told me they will not cancel those other jobs even if they were booked after I signed my contract. he told me it's our fault that we didn't call them back sooner to book an earlier date. FULL OF EXCUSES. excuses, and zero customer service or service recovery. I am spending a ton of money for the absolute worst experience ever. the partial job they did on two of my rooms with wood flooring is already buckling days after installation.....still waiting for a callback about that..... 50 Floor did an amazing job on my new floors! We were on a tight schedule trying to make sure our floors were completed prior to moving into our new home. The original planks I ordered got stuck on a shipping container as a result of the supply and demand issue affecting a lot of businesses right now. When the office manager, Joe Bell, realized this, he was at my house the next day with samples of products they had in stock. My new planks were installed within the week. I think how a company responds to a problem is what truly makes a difference and 50 Floor nailed it. The install teams were great as well! So I'm updating my review after not having a good experience with 50 floor when it came to installation and the way the sales agent handled the situation. The day of installation they delivered the wrong floors. We went back and forth for over an hour trying to figure out what to do. I called the sales agent who was very rude and never even took ownership for the mistake. He acted like it was the craziest thing in the world that he had messed up. We ended up going with the floors that got delivered because it was one we were between and had only chosen the other one because it was lighter. There ended up being a white spot in one of the tiles right in the middle of the floor and the installers said they couldn't fix it without taking the floors back up. I have two young kids and a dog and we have to have somewhere to go when they do this. Not to mention, we just paid a lot of money and the floors should be done right. The installers also completely missed a spot under our dishwasher and left a huge gap. After installation and saying that I wouldn't recommend the company I received a phone call from the installation manager Jobanny who apologized and said they wanted to make it right and he was personally going to come out and check it out so we could fix it. He came out and was very nice and said they'd have someone come out and he would call me Monday (this was Friday) to schedule it. Monday came and went with no phone call. My husband texted him Tuesday with no response. I called Wednesday and he just brushed it off and said they'd be out the next week to fix it. Well over the weekend we found another gap but it's in a weird spot so I called Monday to tell them so they could make sure they had the right supplies when they come so we don't have to deal with it for a third time. Jobanny was at lunch and I was told I'd get a call back. Never did. Called back Tuesday and was told the exact same thing. Again, no call back. Called back today and he wouldn't even get on the phone just told the lady at the company to tell me they have supplies and they'd be out. No apology that I'm the one constantly calling. Nothing. If I could go back I would not use this company. After the amount of money we spent with them, our floors should be done correctly and they should be better with their customer service. 50 floor did a phenomenal job in getting our floors installed and they did have the best prices we also had the Bobby Bones code Amy which gave us $100 off. We had one small hiccup with the floors but Joe was phenomenal she kept me up to date and got everything taken care of. Our installers went above and beyond they helped my husband move the safe so that we could get the floors done properly.... And they were honest with us and told us that they couldn't do the floors if the safe wasn't moved so they helped us put it up on wheelies so it could be rolled around where it needed to be. They finished in a timely fashion and cleaned up after themselves great experience would definitely use them again read more

I am sad to have to write a negative review. I hired 50 Floor to redo all the floors in my house. Then I added an addendum to have them do the floors in my bedroom closets as well. They came out to do the floors throughout my house. The floors look good, but they didn't trim the doors since they put the flooring over my old flooring, which I knew was going to happen and they knew was going to happen. Even though they easily had the tools to trim the doors, they left me to hire someone else to trim 6 of my doors. They still haven't come back and done the floors in my closets. I have contacted the office and the man who came out to my house to give me a quote, and I have not had anyone pick up the phone or return my voicemails. I even called the national main line for 50 Floors and that agent even left voicemails with the manager and assistant manager of Tampa, and no one from the Tampa office has even contacted me back about putting the floors in my closets, which I paid for. Please save yourself the stress and the hastle, it isn't a good feeling to believe that you aren't getting something installed that you paid for. read more

Do NOT use this company.  We're first time customers. Placed an order for a 13-step stairwell to be refinished.  Was in no particular hurry.  About 3 weeks after ordering, Install Dept called saying install was ready. I offered them a number of dates and they picked the first available, which was this Monday. Team arrived, collected my balance in full (before they'd even touch a hammer) and got started.  Worked for awhile then they stopped at about 70% saying that's all they could do for today - due to missing materials!  What?  Why did Install Dept call me if materials were MIA??  The install manager called me to say the missing materials had been ordered first thing that morning because,"the install team knew before they started that they didn't have enough". WHAT?  Why did they start knowing the couldn't finish? And why did they have the audacity to demand final payment knowing they couldn't finish? Now it's Friday and the manager has no idea when the missing materials will show up.  At this point, he isn't even calling me with updates.  DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. read more

So by my own admission I know nothing about flooring besides what looks good. But I did know I did not want laminates and told my sales rep Ray that I did not want laminates. He told me about engineered hardwoods and how they are wood through and through but engineered to be durable enough for Florida humidity etc. okay, sounded perfect, we spoke at length about how engineered hardwoods would be my best bet so imagine my surprise when I realized that the floors being installed are, in fact, laminates. I phone 50 Floor and spoke to a manager named Joe - he was less than helpful. Telling me I signed the contract and they were fulfilling the contract. He said he didn't know what Ray had told me but I signed a co tract for Nature Tek which is laminate. Well how would I know that if I was told it was engineered hardwood? I have a disabled husband and we have many people in and out so we have security cameras and guess what - I have Ray - dead to rights telling me that he wouldn't recommend laminates either since we are also doing the kitchen and bathroom and that it would be engineered hardwood. Sadly 50 Floor let's their salespeople lie and cheat people. We are seniors and this should be our last floor. Too bad we got ripped off by 50 Floor. I will say the install team are efficient, nice and professional people. But overall when you make a life decision like this you would hope you're not getting bamboozled! Buyer Beware! read more

Jason came out and brought a vast array of samples. He was so knowledgeable about his products and walked me through the process, assuring me that I wouldn't have to move any furniture. It took several weeks and a few calls beyond the two weeks we were told the project would start, for us to get scheduled for installation. When they did arrive only one of the three installers could speak limited English which was ok but required some work on both of our behaves. We were shown a pattern for our floor by the sales rep but after installation it actually was a mixed bag of patterns which don't look great. The cut where the carpet meets the tile is straggly looking and will require a plate of some sort to cover it. The installers were messy with the glue and left of trail of it from their feet on my painted front porch and garage. Overall, I see where they got their name you will be 50% satisfied when they are done. read more

The customer service exceeded our expectations. The general manager provided quality service ongoing. Jason Greening was very helpful and actually cared for all our needs during the the floor install project. Finding this kind of quality customer service today is like finding a needle in a haystack. I do not recommend 50 floor. So far, I've had nothing but a headache with them. On their website it says: "We can answer your questions, evaluate your needs and make suggestions based on your requirements and budgets." Well, when Bart came to our house, we told him exactly what our needs were and he suggested the luxury vynil and he said we would not regret! It was kids proof, water proof, dog proof and scratch proof". We decided to go with vynil in the entire house, even in the bathrooms. To my surprise, when they finished the installation, there was no caulking in the bathrooms. A few days later we started noticing scratches all over the floor. Big ones, little ones. Some areas were not leveled, so the floor is uneven. When we contact the store, they sent Joe (the only one who treated us with respect). He came to our house to see all the issues we were having and he said they would probably contact the manufacturer because it looked bad. The next week we had a meeting with Jason, the GM. I went in thinking he was going to work with us, and to my surprise, he treated me like a fool. He said that vynil floor is scratch resistant not proof. That my floor was probably getting scratched because we were not being careful. He basically told me that we should take our shoes off before entering the house and even the rumba could cause scratches. He said that there was nothing the manufacturer could do. They would redo the floor where we had paid them to leveled and they didn't. But they would not do anything else. After a week Joe contact us again saying they were going to give us a credit of $300 if we wanted to use buying new vynil planks to replace some scrathed areas. I am still waiting to hear from them to see how we are going to proceed about this. So my advice is: go buy from somebody who has better reviews and a good customer service. I wish I wouldn't have spent over 10k with them. read more

What a nightmare from the salesman to the last day of installation. Unfortunately, after buying a home in Tampa with nice floors we concentrated on the walls n' stuff. Got everything painted looking good. Then a slab leak - who puts piping in slabs well Florida does so it cost thousands to fix, plumber after plumber, specialist after specialist we decided to go with 50 Floor - HUGE MISTAKE at first thought the salesman was just not a good one but decided to go with them get it over. The first day of installers - they were great but then came the rest of the days...... bangs on our new painted walls; and the one or two pieces of furniture that were in the rooms they did well just noticed that were in secure spots for saving. Hidden areas of the furniture pieces yes call me dumb but just checked and everything is gone. who knows about these hiding spaces in furniture; installation guys that move a lot of furniture. Unpleasant experience, wish went with someone else, hassle hassle hassle, only a couple rooms empty practically ended up with a two day installation and the second crew just rude - that is the only explanation. Although they could not speak English. Take photos of everything; and check everything the day they leave; and if they have to move your furniture WATCH THEM. Too late for me but not for you check out other companies; get three quotes; do your do diligent on looking at reviews. read more

I had a previous review on here and 50 Floor contacted me and said they would fix my issues if I removed it. I told them I would, they came out and did fix the issue. However, I have to say that this company continues to disappoint. As a non-flooring specialist, and just a customer, I am unaware of proper terminology within the flooring industry. Apparently when the sales person claims that the floor is scratch resistant, it does not mean scratch proof. I have had my flooring for about 6 months and I have plastic feet on the bottom of my furniture as well as cushions but apparently, it has already scratched up my scratch resistant floor. I called them to see what can be done and they said they can replace those scratched parts but they will charge for material and labor starting at $175/hr. They did say that metal will scratch, but plastic and cushions??? I am so fed up, There have been so many issues, too many to list. read more
