I was in tonight to get my industrial pierced. I don't know who the man is who pierced me but he was shaking uncontrollably from the moment I got to his table. He spent over 40 minutes marking up my ear to find proper placement. The entire time he was shaking, he would erase a mark he made and continue to do the same thing over and over again. He told me to lay down on the wrong side the piercing was supposed to be on. I told him that was the wrong side and he replied "oh yeah duh I forgot". He wasn't making sense with his vocabulary. I was very scared and that's coming from someone who has had many piercings and tattoos from your establishment. He finally got around to piercing the top part of the industrial, and he then walked away from the needle still visibly in my ear to then mark the second hole which took him another 5 or so minutes. I knew something wasn't right. I thought he was done with the entire piercing to be honest. Turns out he was no where near being finished. My friend got up to look and there was a huge pool of blood on the table under my head and coated in my hair. He then proceeded to say he needed to try again with the piercing. I was confused as to what this meant. I then asked if he was going to re pierce a second hole and he became confused and argumentative. He said he needed to re angle it. I was shaking and felt very nauseous. I asked him to please stop the service and he got more argumentative. I was so uncomfortable and quite frankly, traumatized. I ended up leaving with my entire ear bandaged up. This is completely unacceptable that you would have someone that inexperienced and rude working there. It's a a complete safety concern for all other at this establishment. Also, there were no wavers signed and zero accountability for his actions. He was very cold and seemed like he was on something. I am going to let people know, not to come here for their safety. I would like an apology. His apology and I quote was..."I'm sorry bro, but it happens"... I am completely traumatized. Stopped by to get my ear lobe pierce. This being the 2nd one. I figure it should be done professionally.. Michael greeted us and told us there's someone right before. Michael was the one that handle all of our piercings. All of the stuffs he handle was extra clean. All in its original packing until he's ready to use it. Our ears were all clean and sanitized. And while he was trying to get us going. He taught us a thing or two.. One of the girls brought her own jewelry since she's allergies to nickel. He mentioned that none of the jewelries he provided is nickel free. Told us all the things needed to keep our piercing clean and free from infections. 2 ear lobe pierced for $40. I like it. They had availability for BOTH of us, and (Matt I believe) knocked out my girlfriends tattoo in about 15 minutes. It came out great! The line work is phenomenal, and she got exactly what she wanted. I had a little more complicated tattoo, which Justin helped assist me with. I only knew the Latin phrase I wanted, and couldn't really give a good description for the design I wanted behind the wording. I tossed an idea out to him, and he worked his magic. I've had my nose pierced for almost 12 years and I mistakenly pulled my nose ring out and was unable to put it back in. My only option was to find a tattoo/piercing shop that would be of assistance. Hands down my favorite tattoo shop I've ever been to. This review is mainly geared towards Jenn, but I've never seen anything less than perfection from any of the artists who work here. My wife and I were fortunate enough to grab a spot due to a last minute cancellation and it developed into a whole bunch of tattoos over the past 6 months. I'm so happy I make the drive from Florida every couple weeks so Jenn can finish my sleeve. I believe they do walk ins but making an appointment will be easier. Everyone who works here acts like they're too good to be dealing with you. If you aren't a friend then they are rude and act like you're trying to sit in on a private club meeting. It's been a couple years since I've been here but I'm still dealing with the issue their piercer caused me and that's what brought me to write this review. I went in to get my nose ring switched to a hoop and he put it on carelessly so the seam wasn't aligned and it's caused a bump on my nose cartridge for a while because it ripped and pushed outward when it would move & I had to take out my piercing because the ripping made it infected. Ive been pierced other times and it's gone fine but ever since then I refuse to go back. It's ruined my face for me and I hate the way my nose looks years after the mistake and it's all because the piercer was careless. & I've only been tattooed here once and it was a tattoo I was too ashamed to get at a shop I liked lol but they did okay work, it wasn't a difficult tattoo. It's since been covered up by one of my own preferred artists but only because of what it was not the quality. Regarless, there's no point in stepping in there if you want to be cared about. Clean, friendly and efficient. I arrived on Saturday right when they opened. After signing a short form, showing my ID and a short wait, I was told my jewely for my piercing was being sanitized. The piercer asked me where I wanted my piercing, marked the spot, let me check it in the mirror and then it was go time! Had an appointment for nipple piercing. I'd never had a body piercing but Erin was super kind and helped me feel safe and comfortable. I don't have a great pain tolerance so I was only able to get one, but I'm so glad I did and I can't wait to go back. They require masks (and all the staff were masked themselves). They also aren't taking walk-ins right now. They don't have rooms, but Erin put up a privacy screen and the other staff members left so I wouldn't feel weird. Tattoo # 2 (of perhaps a baker's dozen) in the books. This time 'round, being that home is Charlotte yet again, 510 was an obvious choice. One of my best friends referred me to Jenn Small, so I walked in on a Saturday to book my appointment. Expecting to be a few weeks out, she had an opening on the following Wednesday. I brought my art with me on Wednesday and Jenn took a look and immediately had an idea of what she wanted to do. I sat and chatted with her for a bit as she got set up. Turns out we both know my first artist from ATL -- Brett Pundt from Live Free. As she sketched out the piece, I was already mind blown with her interpretation of my piece. I love how she added a border and so many more details to my original idea. Now it's something that not tells more about me as a baker, but also something I truly love. She even helped me rethink the placement for my right forearm. We went the inside (ouch) and the process began. I sat for about 1:45. Not too bad at all. My ridiculously sensitive skin reacted much better to the black ink as opposed to color. Probably for the best, too. Can't wait to head back to Jenn for my next kitchen/culinary piece. I wanted to write a review of 510 Tattoo and Erin. This my second time going in for piercings and everytime my son and I have been greeted awesomely. Erin is very professional and knowledgeable when piercing. I went in to get my rook and daith piercings one on each ear. She was above and beyond when accessing my piercings. Before she even started she told me that the rook piercing won't work on the ear that I originally wanted. The gave me her opinion and was still kind and patience til I made up my mind. I'm only speaking from experience because I took another son to a different place and they didn't even take their time with him. I was upset with the result from that piercing. HORRIBLE TATTOO ON ME FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE ! I have debated on posting a review for over a month but I don't want anyone else to go through what I went through !! I got a tradition Mexican textile design tattooed by Mike his handle on Insta is @onmylstnrve or Atleast that's what it was I can't see the account anymore so not sure if I'm blocked or what. I had almost 26 tattoos at the time so getting a tattoo was nothing new to me.the tattoo was fine for a day UNTIL IT started to try and heal. the scabs were caked on and I was severally bruised like I had never before. I was so concerned that I went back to the shop 2 days after I got the tattoo to make sure the scabbing wasn't infected ! I was told to let it heal and if I still felt something was off to come back. After over two months of healing the design is blurred and merging together so it's slowly just turning into a big black blob of an arm band. This really upset me since like I said earlier I've never had a problem with healing or anything as well as this piece was a traditional arm band from my culture ! I returned to the shop and let them know I was super unhappy with the outcome and they told me I could talk to Mike directly about it and I agreed to, however upon speaking with him he blamed me ! Said that I should've gotten the design bigger and there is nothing He can do he was super condescending and spoke horrible to me ! As a women I was already nervous to speak up to male tattoo artist but this just made me more uncomfortable overall with the situation. I then again went and talked to someone who worked there after the conversation with Mike to express how uncomfortable I was and that I would really like to resolve this and not make a review. They took my name and pictures of my tattoo which I assumed were passed of to the owner (Justin). I made an appointment to speak with Justin who told me the only thing I could really do was black it out which I wasn't super comfortable with but I assumed he knew best , I also brought up the way Mike had approached the situation and the way he spoke to me and Justin did apologize but kinda blew it off. When speaking about fixing the tattoo Justin quoted me $200 to fix a tattoo I had already payed well over $100 to get done. I left the shop kinda confused as to why I was paying to fix an artists mistake, however I did give it thought for a couple day before cancelling the appointment purely out of just not feeling comfortable at the shop as well as I was not comfortable paying more than what the original tattoo artist (Mike ) had quoted me. Getting a tattoo is definitely a experience where you feel very vulnerable which is why I suggest you go else where ! I don't really understand why Mike didn't have any repercussions..... for the way he spoke to me and also for messing up on a tattoo that's going to be on me forever. GO ELSE WHERE read more

I came in as a walk-in and got my fingers tatted. The shop minimum is $80, they're pretty friendly in here also! I was able to be in and out in about 30-45 minutes and was tattooed by Pearce. The shop is located across the parking lot from Reigning Donuts. They are cash only for tattoos but you can use cards for piercings. There's an atm inside that doesn't always work, so stop by one (if you're getting a tattoo) before you come into the shop. read more

Very disappointed...I went in person to make my appointment, spoke to Evan and discussed my ideas. He seemed receptive and I liked his work so I left a cash deposit and booked my appointment. I received a text message about an hour before my scheduled appointment telling me Evan was sick and would have to cancel. I get it, things happen, people get "sick". Evan was apologetic (at least in his text) and seemed genuinely sorry when he re-booked my appointment. I arrived at the shop on the re-scheduled date about 20 minutes early only to be greeted by a flabbergasted Evan who told me "something happened to the schedule" and I wasn't on it. Seriously? Even when I showed him his text setting the appointment, the only options offered to me were to either re-book (again) or refund my deposit. I've wasted several hours of my time driving back and forth to this place for nothing. I wasn't going to be a one & done customer. I want multiple tattoos and would've been a good client for you - as would several of my friends who are looking for a new artist to do their ink. I'm sure you guys do great work, and don't really need my business but your customer service sucks. read more

Awesome shop. Everyone is super cool and friendly. My artist was great to work with; he took my general idea and helped improve the design and layout for where I wanted. Iv spent a lot of time in here and I love it! The atmosphere is awesome and my tattoos are amazing! I hand out cards for Mark almost everyday, because I get compliments every where I go. We started with some small tattoos first and I finally had him do a half Sleeve, then moved on to a large back piece that's has a lot of meaning to me.. He only cracked a few jokes but it's all in fun but at the end of the day it turned out better than I could have imagined! It looks so great that then I had to start letting him fix some old work I had that didn't look so good anymore next to it, and he did amazing on the cover ups for me also! My fiance and I walked in the other day to get two small tattoos. He drew them up fast and they looked great! ( We got each others initials, so cute I know :) ) I got mine on my pinky knuckle and my fiance got his on his bicep. I had Joseph (super nice) and he had another artist. So we were in and out super fast, and everything was very clean and welcoming. The only bummer I think was my tiny finger tattoo was 60$ without tip.. I understand I don't want a cheap tattoo that will age crappy, wont last, etc.( I have about 7 other tattoos so I generally know what Im looking for) but it just felt pricy; upside I can walk in for a touch up anytime if it needs it, so thats cool. I know some shops have shop minimums so maybe theirs is 60? I don't know. I would still go back, the artists seemed cleanly and to know what they were doing and seemed versatile, hopefully a bigger piece would have a price to match it better! read more

I don't usually post reviews, this is actually the only review I've ever posted. First I wanna say the lady at the front desk was super nice and helpful. I walked in and had a guy helping me with my tattoos (Matt I believe). He told me the tattoo I wanted looked like a rash to him (red butterflies). Then the writing I wanted (little angel) was way too big when he brought it back and I wanted it drawn out a little more (longer). He kept bringing back the writing a little smaller each time but still wasn't what I was looking for in terms of the length. He asked me if I wanted to draw it since he couldn't seem to get it (the way he said it felt rude and aggravated). Then, I was putting the writing on my leg to see how it looked. I wanted it to face me (upside down), he questioned why I wanted it that way (in a judge mental tone) to which I replied because I want to be able to read it and that it's for my grandma. He asked if my grandma could stand on her head, I told him she had passed (hence "little angel"), and he said "oh I guess she can stand on her head then". Long story short I ended up telling him I'd come back another time (I'm obviously not). From the beginning he treated me like a hassle when the tattoo wasn't what I wanted and judged my decisions. Being who I am, I continued to be nice to him regardless of what he said to me but it just kept getting worse. I walked out feeling very sad after having been so excited to get these tattoos all day. Not recommending this place to anyone. I feel bad because everyone else in there seemed nice but I don't wanna go back to a place that employs someone that insensitive and judgmental. read more

I walked in on a snowy Sunday and thankfully there were three people in staff. Brandon was super helpful and thorough with tattooing me. He was patient and kind with helping me find the right position and angle for my wrist tattoos. This was not my first tattoo, so I anticipated the pain, but he was thoughtful enough to warn me that one wrist might hurt more than the other, he was right. The shop was clean and the artists took the right procedures and used clean equipment. Even the after care instructions they gave me has helped me heal a tattoo better than ever. Fu's made it sound like they would squeeze us in making us wait around for two hrs b4 telling us no way they could. We found 510 by chance just walking around. They were very busy but managed to squeeze us in and did an amazing job!!!! They were booked solid as they were doing our tattoos when another lady walked in for a tattoo with no appt and they squeezed her in as well.
