Nice place located in an alley, Had the brisket and cheese empanadas, flavor was okay, a little on the greasy side. But nice Latin offerings

Amazing empanadas! Love the variety and sauce they provide. Their brisket quesadillas is phenomenal.

The food is very good. I'm happy I found a Spanish restaurant in Bangor. People are friendly.

It was a hot day, and although we were originally seated outside, the manager did come over, apologize, and move us to an indoor table, which we appreciated. Still, we waited nearly an hour after being seated to get our food. A heads-up about the wait time would have gone a long way. Service was polite, but the delays really impacted the meal.

The restaurant's cleanliness and precautions at the buffet underline a commitment to customer well-being, although my suggestion to cover the food on the employee side would be a more of a food safety for customers. The cuisine, influenced by a Puerto Rican chef, stands out with bursts of flavor that capture the essence of the island. The option to have Alcapurias and empanadas made fresh upon request adds a delightful, personalized touch to the culinary experience. It's evident that the chef's expertise plays a significant role in elevating the overall dining experience. The active presence of the owner on-site is a reassuring touch, emphasizing a commitment to customer satisfaction. Additionally, the availability of ample street parking adds a practical and convenient aspect to the overall dining experience. Viejo San Juan Latin restaurant seems to strike a balance between a welcoming ambiance, flavorful cuisine, and a commitment to customer well-being. It's a place that beckons for those in search of a delightful blend of atmosphere and taste. If you are living here or passing through this is a spot worth spotting in for a bite.

The fact that I have never sat down and written a yelp/google review for Don Pedro's is insanity…read more I have been there at least a dozen times now and the food is always...ALWAYS top notch. Pedro, his wife, and their crew are relentless in their efforts to make sure all of the food is from scratch and perfect, and that you always feel like family when you stop by. The restaurant is never dirty, and there is indoor as well as outdoor seating. I am going to struggle to find all the photos I want to post for this review since they span over a couple years and a bunch of visits. This is the best Cuban sandwich from here to Tampa. I said it, and I meant it. I eat with a purpose...I am constantly looking for the best of everything. If it's a Cuban...it's here. The wings are always cooked perfectly, sauced well, and have delicious house made sauces. The cheesesteak is easily the best in that area. Real ribeye, cooper sharp cheese sauce, a fresh roll delivered daily...can't miss. The chicken cheesesteak is also excellent. The Italian sub is like a full lb of meats with the freshest veggies and again on that roll from NYC. Pedro has changed the pizza multiple times as he continues to test new ingredients and flavor profiles, and every single time I have it, it's better than the time before. I will not get a round slice from anywhere else in that area. The Spanish food is fantastic. I say Spanish and not Puerto Rican because he also has dishes like Ropa Vieja which is inherently Cuban and some other dishes with influences from other Latin countries. The pernil is fantastic, the fried pork belly is outrageous, empanadas...you seriously can just point to the menu here randomly and whatever you pointed at will be fantastic. Easy rating here, without a doubt. Didn't Suck isn't strong enough for Don Pedro's...this place is excellent.
