Spain Inn 2 is a family relic for my wife's side. We've been here too many times to count and our family is very close with theirs. Been that way for years. Just getting around to review now! Start to finish, this joint is your classic Spanish family running a great family business. The seafood is always fresh, the bread and oil always flowing, and their sangria hits different! What we always get: -Paella Marinera (The RICE is dangerously good) -Mariscada Salsa Verde -Chorizo (THE BEST I've had. Want to always order a side to take home) We've gotten plenty of other dishes, but those are some of my favorite. Can't say enough about the service, attention to detail, and care they have for customers. Go here and you'll never be disappointed.

We have been here a few times now , we always really enjoy the food . Highly recommend the octopus salad (didn't get a pic because we ate it too fast) . We always enjoy the food and the red sangria is great! The staff is so friendly and accommodating. Service is great! I student taught in Spain and the sangria and food is very authentic and delicious. Plenty of space to relax and enjoy your meal, they have parties and a few rooms. Gluten free options.

Absolutely amazing!! I love everything about this place. The food, the service, the sangria, the atmosphere. A+ all around

Strip steak special was very good but a little on the fatty side.

The food was not worth the price. The appetizer was good but our entrees were over cooked and bland. The service and ambience were good.

We bagan with oysters from Maine and PEI as our starter (really nice variety available) crab soup, fish & chips for me. My wife enjoyed a glass of Malbec wine from Argentina, and filet mignon. We didn't have to wait too long (less than 10 mins) as the table we ended up at was vacant from the time we got there. It was the table right outside the front door. It was a little small for a party of 4 plus a toddler but we made due as we were all hungry and it was the first available without a reservation. What we ordered: - BROILED OYSTERS (garlic butter, parmesan, pecorino romano, parsley, panko) - NEW ENGLAND WHOLE CLAM CHOWDER (New Zealand wild cockles, potatoes, parsley, light cream broth) - LOBSTER BISQUE (house made lobster stock, cream, lobster meat garnish) - 5 OZ FILET MIGNON (caramelized shallot whipped potatoes, french beans, bearnaise) and I added Crab Imperial Topping for an additional $10 - COMBINATION PLATE (brussel sprouts, lemon brown butter, fried dayboat scallops, jumbo shrimp, crabcakes, capers, potato hash, french beans with white wine butter sauce) - ANGUS BURGER (6 oz house made beef patty, brioche bun, aged white cheddar, lettuce, tomato, onion) and we updated the fries to Market Fries - LOBSTER ROLL (toasted croissant, ¼ lb. warm lobster meat, butter, whole grain mustard aioli, fresh cut fries) - KIDS FISH AND CHIPS (battered haddock, fresh-cut fries, and classic tartar sauce) - MIKE'S SMOKED BARREL OLD FASHION (3nf Jack Daniel's #7, maple syrup, muddled orange, smoked glass) - BERRY & BASIL MOCKTAIL (Blueberry balsamic shrub, orange blossom tea, muddled orange, and simple syrup) - THE BRIDESMAID MOCKTAIL (strawberry, lemon shrub, and simple syrup) The server was very nice but she seemed overwhelmed. The menus and napkins that were stored outside were flying all over the place, she had to keep picking them up from the floor/pathway. Server was not around when we wanted the check so we had to wait. The kids meal was so large and my nephew loved it. The Broiler Oysters and Lobster Roll were very good! All the other food was fine except for the Filet Mignon - it was ordered medium well and it came out more well done and was dry. Glad I added the Crab Imperial Topping because that was tasty. The New England Clam Chowder is different to those I'm use to having so it was a surprise and we didn't really like it. The broth is thin and not as flavorful as I'm use to but they did say it was in a "light broth" on the menu. I'm also not use to the clams being still in their shell, all the ones I've tried have been shucked and often times chopped. The drinks were ok but nothing wowed us, probably wouldn't recommend them. All in all it was decent and glad we tried it even if we didn't enjoy everything because it might be personal taste. I think mostly the seafood items are done well and that makes sense due to part of the name of the place being "Fish Market".

It is a fairly large space with plenty of seating and a bar and felt spacious and clean. Our server Fernanda was very friendly and checked in with us regularly to see how we were enjoying the food as it came out. I started with the duck salad and had the sauerbraten for my entree. The duck salad was tasty with a nice dressing, my only complaint is that it came with 4 thin slices of duck (maybe a bite each). It definitely could have benefited from more duck, especially for a $23 salad. That said, I liked the blue cheese, apples, and cranberries that went with it. My entree was definitely the largest of the group and came with two huge thick potato pancakes, a hefty serving of red cabbage and a good portion of beef. I really enjoyed the dish and was pretty full afterwards. I would absolutely recommend this dish and eat it again. For dessert we tried their special, a mango cake which was very light and pleasant albeit a bit sweet. I would suggest checking/asking about portion sizes before you order as some dishes are smaller than others (the grilled shrimp appetizer is only 4 shrimp, the clams casino is 5 small/medium clams and the crab cake entree is two small to medium sized crab cakes with no sides). So I can see how some people are frustrated with the portions based on the prices. That being said, I would absolutely recommend both the duck salad and sauerbraten.

We live in Clinton Twp and The Clinton House was top of the list to visit. Appetizers: crab cake and portobello fries. Crab cake was excellent, all crab, no filler, loved the sauce. Portobello fries were fine, a little dry, but good sauce. Entrees: My husband got the French dip sandwich which I tried..it was okay. Definitely not bad but nothing special. Where the food really fell short was my entree. I got the shrimp and scallop risotto special. It came with two shrimp and "four" scallops, which was two scallops cut horizontally prior to cooking and seared. Scallops were complete rubber and tasted like ammonia, and the shrimp were extremely overcooked. The risotto itself was tasty and I would have it again, but for $40 it was not an acceptable dish. Our waitress was not rude, but not particularly friendly. We loved the vibe and decor of the restaurant, and other staff we interacted with were pleasant. I would not return here based on food quality and price point. I think the establishment is historic and beautiful, but could be improved greatly.

I heard some mixed reviews of the restaurant from family and friends so, of course, I needed to formulate my own opinion. When we first entered the tavern, I truly thought it was a seat yourself kinda spot...there was no one who greeted us at the door... everyone looked kind of lost, like they were ALL new. Restaurant was rather empty at this point, so we weren't sure if they were just opening or if they were in the middle of a shift change. We waited 10 minutes to be seated, then another 10 min waiting for servers to figure out who was taking our table. All the servers seemed to look to this one dude for answers but he also didn't seem to know what he was doing. Seems strange for a restaurant not to have designated staff manage the front of the house...or some sort of a plan. Nonetheless, our server was really nice - she greeted us with a smile and got our first round of drinks to the table right away! I wish I remembered her name! I believe she wore glasses. Since we were a little bit of a larger party, we sat outside. That just meant we weren't really a priority. So if you go there...sit inside, or else they might forget about you. No fault of the servers! The organization just seems funky. That can definitely make or break a restaurant. All in all, drinks were good, food was mid, and service was decent but unorganized. I'd come back only because I'm a glutton for punishment and I have too much faith. So take this the way you want!

Unfortunately, kids and upscale do not usually mix well! My son and nephew accompanied us, ages 7 & 6. My nephew loudly declared "this is a place to take a date, not seven people!!" And we knew we were in for it. The kids behaved but as any kid that age they were making a lot of noise in an otherwise quiet restaurant. All of this to say, the staff at Dora took it in stride and made sure we did not feel uncomfortable about it while we did our best to reign in the outside voices. This was so appreciated because nothing is worse than being stared at like you don't belong! Not only was the staff friendly and accommodating, the food was amazing. Even the oil they bring out with bread is so delicious, it has some kind of greens or pesto mixture and it's magnificent. We had burrata as an appetizer and gobbled it up down to the salad it sat upon. My tortellini was perfectly cooked and paired with a light pink sauce, I appreciated a thinner sauce with this hearty pasta. Everyone enjoyed their food, even the noisy boys who shared chicken fingers and fries.
