OMG!!! The food is amazing!!! I was going to be in the Stroudsburg area today and from reading all those good reviews on yelp I decided I would stop by. The food is very very good. I ordered 2 beef empanadas with cheese. They didn't make it home. They were hot and juicy!! I ordered a Lg pernil with yellow rice and pigeon peas. The pernil is so juicy any tasty.the yellow rice was excellent! The portions are very big! The place is nice and clean. Prices are fare.I will be back again soon and try something different.

I am SOOOO happy that we found this place!! We were only in town for 1 night..on our way to see the Cubs/Yankees game over the weekend. We ate not familiar with Puerto Ricon cuisine but Jessie walked us through it. My husband had the beef with yellow rice and pinto beans. I chose the baked chicken with yellow rice and black beans. Everything was AMAAAAAZING! Generous portions and great flavors. Nothing was too spicy. BTW...Jessie says they make everything fresh, every day! He says he would rather throw it away at the end of the day, than to reheat today's food and serve it tomorrow.. Give them a try!!

We made a stop at Emilio's place after a trip to the mountains. Our friends love their food and decided to get it for lunch. The moment we walked in, the lady greeted us and offered samples. She was extremely welcoming, it felt like we just walked into her home kitchen. We tried a few things and ended up getting a little bit of everything. We ordered ox tail, garlic chicken, yuca, pernil, white rice, yellow rice and a flan and mac salad. The guy at the counter was also very nice, and I dont think he charged me for the dessert or salad. He threw in extra house special hot sauce (The green one is my favorite). I have to say that the sleeper pick was the Yuca. It was soo flavorful and melt in your mouth. I decided I was going to go back the next day to bring some home. Unfortunately, I didn't realize they are closed on Sundays!! Bummer Highly recommend this spot for some home style spanish food. This is now a must visit every time we're in the poconos

Amazing food and awesome staff! They let us try the different meats so we could get exactly what we liked the most. We ordered way too much because we loved it

Authentic great tasting food and owners with the best personality ever! The chicken was on point and the service was outstanding.

Have really high hope about the food, but it came out dry and really salty . The rice and beans were good

Originally came up here with my father to buy a motorcycle. Little to our surprise we picked this place off of google maps and it didn't disappoint. And not to mention Eric was an extremely awesome guy and made you feel welcomed. I recommend the Pernil/stewed beef/or empanadas

Their food is very good. The empanadas are a little oily. They need to drain the meat better.

OK. Seriously. The chef of this sweet, little spot should get an award just for that coconut sauce!…read more We stumbled upon this place while stopping for ice cream right next door. We had our dessert first then went next door and ordered the "Esmeralda's Encocado" Shrimp (covered in that insanely rich coconut sauce ), rice, and deliciously tender maduros. Heavenly! The staff was warm, friendly and efficient. The food is homemade with love and skill! We did not wait long at all. My husband loved that dish so much he said, "wow it's only 30 min from home!" Can't wait to return and try all the other dishes. Prices are reasonable. Go next door for homemade ice cream!!

What an AMAZING find!…read more We have owned a second home in the Poconos for 27 years, so we have been to SO many restaurants in the area. We were looking for something new--somewhere we might not have discovered on our own--so I turned to ChatGPT, and it recommended Bluefoot. What an absolutely amazing find! Bluefoot is a small, woman-owned business, and Monica, the owner, is truly wonderful. She spent time at every table, and we absolutely loved getting to talk with her and getting to know her. From the moment we walked in, the restaurant just felt warm, cozy, welcoming, and like you were visiting family. The first thing they brought to the table was a small bowl of fried plantain chips, and I have to say... they were THE BEST I have ever had! I even asked if they sell them, and thankfully, they do! You can purchase them to take home. For an appetizer, we ordered the chicken empanadas, which came with homemade hot sauce and homemade Sriracha sauce. Both were incredible! For my entrée, I had the Esmeraldas Encocado--shrimp with just the right amount of fried coconut in a delicious, creamy sauce. There was plenty of shrimp, and it came with sweet fried plantains and white rice. And that white rice... One bite literally brought tears to my eyes because it tasted EXACTLY like my deceased grandfather's sticky white rice. It brought back such a special memory for me, and it was absolute perfection. My husband had the Nanos, which is skirt steak. He had it prepared medium, and he said it was incredibly tender. I tried a piece myself, and I have to agree--it was full of flavor, tender, and delicious. The restaurant is BYOB, cozy, intimate, and incredibly welcoming. But honestly, what made this experience so special was the feeling you get when you are there. Monica makes you feel like family. We are SO excited to add Bluefoot to our list of favorite Poconos restaurants. We will absolutely be coming back again and again, especially when we have friends visiting us at the house. Thank you, Monica, for such a wonderful experience! We are so happy we found you. If you are looking for something different in the Poconos, I HIGHLY recommend giving Bluefoot a try. You will not be disappointed!
