This Restaurant is 100% pure authentic Hispanic food. I haven't had a bad meal there yet and I hope it stays that way. Their chicken soup is amazing. I have it once a week religiously. The customer services second to none and the outdoor seating is nice, especially when the weather cooperates. Finally grip with us location is the space indoors and the noise that the HVAC system makes. At times it can be so cold in there that it cools off your food, which is what I am not a fan of. Good food, but overpriced and super long wait. It took more than an hour to get our food. The menus they have there were apparently outdated, so the pricing isn't what it is stated. I was in the mood for spanish food and this restaurant had red snapper which is my favorite fish. I ordered the red snapper with rice and vegetables. When I arrived I parked nearby. They only have a few parking spaces at the restaurant. I walked in and told the very nice lady my name and the food wasn't yet done. I waited a few more minutes and paid and left with my meal. When I dug in the snapper was good and so was the rice and vegetables. The snapper had a lime taste because they used it in the seasoning, while a bit overpowering it was still good. This is our 1st visit to this restaurant. The food is outstanding. We had a cubano and peril sandwiches. Both were moist and packed with flavor. As an app, we had 1 chicken and cheese empenada and 1 beef and cheese. They were so delicious, we ordered 10 to bring home to the rest of the family. Disappointing. Well this is my first time having mofongo.. I know my Spanish is rusty but I ordered pork mofongo. and I thought it would be filled with meat but it's a mountain of dry plaintain with a few shreds of pork and not much seasoning or anything in it. The meat around it is so burnt, this is not pork, it's burnt ends or burnt pork belly, ugh not my favorite. I'm sorry to say that, I'm hungry and I wanted to love eating this but... the meat you gave me... it's a like overdone crispy pork belly but it's so overdone I can't bite through it! It's such a shame. This monfongo needs a sauce or a drizzle of something it's so dry, I almost choked twice! I ordered Maduros, ripe plantains, ehh okay, I didn't order tostones but it was in the bag by accident. I don't mean to complain, I want to like these but they are dry and flavorless. They need seasoning or a dip for them. The yucca fries are actually good, it would be great to have a chipotle aioli dip for them, otherwise they are very dry. The flan was, umm different than I've had before. Maybe a drizzle of caramel could make it look prettier. Not fabulous. All in all, sadly it was a miss for me, I love all kinds of Spanish foods. I wanted to try someplace new. But I'm mostly irritated for spending money on this dinner and can't even bite through this pork belly fatty meat, hardly any meat here, which is not the shredded pork I saw in the store, that was a disappointing mis communication. I will have to skip these three day old dead dry overcooked burnt pork ends, no thank you! It tastes like dead old meat. I can't even bite through it and It was dry, not tasty! read more

Sorry we tried! We are new in the area and we were looking for authentic Spanish food. The place is ok but the food is not good at all. We ordered chuleta, but it was too overcooked to dry it came with anichuela but I only got the liquid with some abichuelas. My husband ordered Sancocho, not the best Sancocho ever too liquidy in flavor The only good was the tamarind juice So disappointed! We had a family dinner here on Sunday. First of all, the place is spotless including the bathroom, which takes a real effort given that they have customers in and out of those bathrooms. My mom had the ribs which she said were a tiny bit under seasoned but cooked well and with a little salt and vinegar they were great. My son had the roast pork, rice and black beans and he liked it. I had the grilled chicken breast and it was well seasoned but it was overly dry, they added sautéed red onions which helped, but it was still hard to cut into. The rice and beans were good. My SO had the Churrasco and we had a diaper changing emergency so his steak got cold and he had to ask for Chimichurri sauce because the steak was tough at that point. Both the server and the chef were very accommodating in providing the sauce after the fact. Overall, it was a nice experience and we would return to try other dishes. I would recommend installing a baby changing station. Update 3/17/19: second visit here, three of us had mangu with los tres golpes (eggs, salami and fried white cheese). They made them to order and they were delicious and it was so much food we had to bring a lot home! My son had rice, beans and chicken and it was also good. I was looking for a catering place nearby for my grandsons birthday party and I came here ordered a couple of different items. The Sancocho was not to my liking. The pastelon was amazing would definitely go back for that. I didn't really enjoy the pernil. My biggest issue was that I was standing there for so long waiting to order that I didn't even try to get catering from there. There were plenty of employees in this small restaurant but I guess they don't really coordinate well. There is really not much to choose from in this neighborhood so I will probably just order ahead next time if I want pastelon and chicharrón. I came here for a doordash order and for starters, they supposedly don't do doordash orders yet they still took mine. I counted at least 10 people they came after us that got served. They gave us our order and let us confirm the pickup and then catches us last second outside because they forgot a sandwich. we waited half an hour in total. Chaotic! Granted COVID has made life difficult especially for restaurants but there didn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to order. We called in an order and though my wife has a rudimentary command of Spanish it was difficult to place our order because of the language barrier. We both ordered mofungo and we're underwhelmed at best despite our neighbor's recommendation. It was on the dry side and we couldn't figure out what the sauce was but didn't care for it. I felt the mofungo was overly salty but my wife - who salts everything didn't agree with me. I also had pernil that I thoroughly enjoyed. I really wanted to like the food but ultimately came away disappointed. There was a long (chaotic) line for takeout orders so there are obviously many people who enjoy their food hence my middle of the road review. read more

DO NOT GO HERE WHEN HUNGRY.... I went today with my husband for take out food. We waited 1 hour in our car, place is understaffed and worst part... food wasn't even cooked properly. When we got home I had to put the steak on the stove and cook it again as I was afraid of getting sick. Staff wasn't nice at all, they told my husband the wait will be 20 minutes because he ordered fried plantains (which they never even put in the bag, so we paid for something and didn't even get it) My husband demanded to get a refund after waiting 45 minutes, they told him please wait 5 more minutes which ending up being more like 15 minutes. Honestly I don't see this place staying in business not with this kind of service and food. Never will I spend my money here! Food is good but is a 50/50, my wife had the mondongo and it was not good, I order the steak sandwich and it took 30 min. This was our second time here, the first was good, today's it was bad. Service was ok, our waitress was nice, but ten minutes to wait for sodas.....makes no sense. Maybe one day I'll give it a third try, but for now, I'll go somewhere else. read more
