This reliable mechanic charged me for everything including transmission fluid oil $120 and was very prompt. On the other hand, this mechanic was going to charge me 150 dollars to find what was wrong with my car! Wow, i believe the reviews here do not add up. Located in the rough neighborhood of New Brunswick, clean waiting space and customer service is fair... well I'm being nice. The receptionist was unprofessional and said we did not charge you for the codes or test drive. I was completely confused- wait your company charges for that? To input a reader into the car to tell you the codes (where you can go practically anywhere and they will tell you for free) or test drive? What? She lost me. Rutgers students, I understand its in a convienent location, but please do not let mechanics rip you off... do a little research. To continue, the mechanic stated, "Cars are more complex than humans because they have more models, issues, etc." As an educated woman in STEM, this is where i had to draw the line. He joked that he'd have it done in one hour on a Saturday -- which they close at 1:00, something he did not tell me. I left and called two hours later to check on my car. He said he wouldn't have time to work on it today and asked if I could walk there because "it should be time enough since they close in 20 minutes." I rushed over. He said I owed $80 and that it would go toward my final bill for the "diagnosis." I paid, and we made an agreement that I'd drop my car off the next week. He promised it would only take a short time. I let him know I needed the car for work and that I'd be using a family member's car in the meantime. He once again joked about how easy of a fix it would be and told me not to worry -- it would be done before the week was out (this was Thursday). I dropped the car off. Saturday came, and the car still had not been fixed. I let them know I had to come get it. When I arrived, I asked if I owe anything? They responded, "Nothing, today." They asked me to bring the car back the following week because they were waiting on a part. I never brought the car back because I was displeased with the constant joking about how fast it would be, yet no work was done besides the "diagnostic" -- which I had already supplied to them upon arrival, and paid for. I am still driving around with a check engine light on, and they continue to bill me OVER $300. FOR WHAT?? When I call, they constantly say "they're busy right now and can't talk." My family has used them for many years, and I was told to go here. They have witnessed what Jake and his team of scammers have tried to pull on me. He will not be receiving any of our business again, and I hope people take this as a warning. If you want to get scammed and still have a broken car, this is your place.

I brought my car in with a dreaded check engine light on, my turbocharger was failing. The code makes you think you can fix it. Mike told me that we need to be smart about it because the labor cost of removing the turbocharger, repairing it and putting it back it back was over one thousand dollars! On top of that repairing the problem related to the code doesn't guarantee the check engine light won't come back on! It also doesn't mean there might be another problem with the turbocharger. He offered that I can shop for a replacement turbocharger and he would do the same. I found a new OEM turbocharger for a good price and he installed it for me! The car runs great and the turbocharger is functioning like it did before the light came on I own 2 other cars and I'm going to give these guys all my business.
