Our HOA used American Backflow last month to test the backflow for our unit. Dylan came out to do…read morethe job and told my father who was there to let him in my home that "even if the backflow doesn't pass, we'll pass it anyways". Well, that's exactly what he did. The backflow then proceeded to leak for 5 days when my wife and I discovered water seeping up through our floors next to the utility closet. The backflow was leaking from the 2 check valves on top of the backflow that Dylan used to check the system. It was also discovered that he accidentally moved our drain for all the piping in that utility closet when he conducted his test which caused the condensation line from the condenser to leak into that closet as well. Dylan came back out that following Monday and repaired the 2 valves that were leaking, and a separate plumber (a friend of Steve Krebbs) came out to fix the drain issue. Dylan apologized for the water damage to our floors and admitted it was him that caused it and that Steve would call me to discuss paying for the damages caused by his employee. I waited for over a week and received no call from Steve. I called his office twice during that time and they assured me that he would be calling. He never did which shows what type of person he is. I called him after waiting that week and he is now saying they aren't liable for the damages and trying to pass the buck to my HOA for hiring his company. I have video evidence and pictures of the damages. Do not use this company.

I called them, they said they could come in a few days (it was a Friday) and diagnosed what parts would be needed and where to get them (Home Depot). Buying them myself would save us a lot of $$$$ over them spending time sourcing parts. I was surprised by that, most shops like to make money every way they possibly can. So, he just left, he's was a super good guy as always and educated me on both repairs. The bill was still not cheap, about $300, but plumbers are expensive. Highly recommend.

It wasn't dangerously high but with the readings, they recommended I contact a plumber to address the issue. I submitted a request through Angi, and Earl was the first to respond. He called me first thing that morning and was able to schedule an inspection for same day service. He was upfront with the cost so I was prepared for what to expect. He quickly diagnosed the issue, repaired the leak at the connector, and made sure everything was properly sealed. It was a huge relief to have it handled so quickly. Earl took the time to thoroughly explain the problem and walked me through the repair process. He also went the extra step of offering to inspect the outside meter to ensure everything was in good shape (it isn't but the system is showing obvious signs of deterioration). Beyond his technical expertise, Earl was very respectful of my home. He wore booties to protect my floors and was careful throughout his visit. He takes pride in both his work and how he treats his customers' homes and that I certainly appreciate. Earl is a master plumber and is licensed, insured, and certified to work on gas lines as well as traditional plumbing systems.
