Tiny convenience store on a city block. It's pretty no frills but they do make a tasty sandwich. They sell and use Boars Head meats and cheeses. They also deli slice Taylor ham (pork roll) which is great for a just got outta bed quick Sunday morning kinda breakfast. They also have a bin of bakery rolls that are delivered fresh each day; they are tasty. Milk and eggs, check. I also like that they sell the plantain chips from the factory (that makes them) across the street. I'd give this place five stars but they have yet to sell me a winning lottery ticket...maybe someday they will get their act together and I'll be able to revise this review.

56th St. Deli is s great place to get a quick breakfast or lunch from friendly owner Moe. The Taylor Ham,egg, and cheese sandwich is reasonable priced, along with any of his lunch sandwiches. You can stop in and get a quick cup of coffee, play the lottery, or pick up a newspaper. It's a great local convenience store to have in the neighborhood!!!

Here's another great sandwich. Me and my girlfriend decided to split two regular philly and a chicken philly and they are both bomb

We have ordered the same items on different visits and somehow ended up paying different prices. The food is already expensive, and unfortunately, the quality and consistency do not justify the cost. What bothered us even more was the MIDGET EGGHEAD owner's behavior. He initially comes across as friendly, but on several occasions he has made disrespectful comments with double meanings, some of them sexual in nature. It became uncomfortable and completely unprofessional. After multiple chances, we've finally decided: never again. If you choose to visit, pay close attention to what you're being charged and how you're being treated. Our experience has taught us that the friendly personality we initially encountered was not what it seemed. And since he thought it was appropriate to make a comment to my wife about "Italian chorizo," he can now take that Italian chorizo and stick it up his.... We won't be back. Good luck to the Patrons that shop at this horrible business.

This is a classic deli, walls full of tomatoes, pasta, family photos, and citizen of the year awards. (It only takes one interaction to understand why.) you can sit outside in nice weather, but the chit chat inside makes you feel especially welcome. My only regret is we forgot to get cannolis on the way out. (Probably because the portions are huge.) Not far off the highway so you can keep dad feeling like we're still making good time. I ordered the buffalo wings, garlic knots, a small cheese pizza with vodka sauce instead of marinara & mushrooms, and a cannoli. The wings were not Buffalo, they were a mix between Buffalo and bbq. If I had known, would not have ordered. Did not like the bbq sauce flavor. I also asked for ranch as I despise bleu cheese but alas, I did not get ranch and had to eat my wings plain. Garlic knots were perfect. The pizza tho. Ugh, it was so bad. They made a cheese mushroom pizza with way too much cheese and then put the vodka sauce on top after!!! Like a drunken grandma pie. That's not what I wanted. I asked for, "a cheese pizza with vodka sauce." It was so soggy that it soaked through the bottom of the box. Stayed soggy even after reheating in the oven. I ate half a slice and tossed the rest sadly. I won't be ordering from here again. The cannoli was fine but wouldn't order again either. The only thing I would eat again is the garlic knots. Very disappointing for Jersey pizza.

The place is a grocery store that has a deli serving hot lunch and sandwiches. I have gotten the #2 (grilled chicken with smoked mozzarella, roasted peppers) and it was really good and fresh. My second visit I got the #1 since it came with fresh mozzarella with grilled chicken and sun dried tomatoes. This sandwich was solid as well and I believe they put olive oil with it. The bread was fresh and tasty especially since the olive oil soaked well into it. It's a good amount of food, I usually split it in half and have it for lunch and then dinner. I highly recommend Piccolo's if you're in the mood for fresh mozzarella sandwich. * Parking on premise * helpful service * variety of samples to try

I go more traditional with roast beef, capocollo, American Cheese, mustard and Balsamic on the half-loaf of bread. We arrive at our favorite park and sit to enjoy our "sangwheeches". No complaints. The meat was generous and the dressings were on point. In fact, I didn't need something that large. Had I ordered the whole I would have to bring half of it home. I ate every last bite. It was all that and a bag of chips, which was WISEly purchased to go with lunch. Other than the fact it's hidden in the neighborhood and you need to find parking, we are very satisfied and we look forward to returning.
