This local spot takes pride in what they serve and it shows. Parking is somewhat challenging being that it is located in the middle of a residental street. I never thought I would feel personally victimized by a sandwich cut, but here we are. This sandwich was supposed to be split 50/50 with my friend. Instead, I was handed a social experiment in inequality. One side is clearly bigger, heavier, and living a better life than the other. How exactly am I supposed to divide this fairly without looking like the cheap friend who takes the larger piece? What makes this worse is that this was not cut by a new kid or someone learning the ropes. This was cut by one of the senior guys at the deli. The veteran. The supposed professional. It was perfectly juicy, it was seasoned to perfection and it had a nice little crunchy edges. The muzz was great too, nice thick pieces of cheese, it went perfectly with the crusty bread and the perfect cutlet. The only thing I didn't love was the pepper, it was OK, it was a bit too acidic and sharp for me, it also really felt like something then grabbed out of a jar. All in all a really delicious sandwich. This is one of the few amazing Deli's in the area. I've gotten delivery here a few times when I have had work meetings. The delivery arrived quickly and the sandwiches were nothing short of AMAZING. The location is out of the normal range for a Italian deli. The sandwiches are unavailable if you order early and they haven't run out of what you want. The place is very small and the takeout is very busy. A full (not half) sandwich is good for two meals/people. If you can finish one of the sandwiches by yourself you definitely can't do anything else except sleep they are that big. The service was extremely good and it reminded me of that favorite sandwich place I had as a child. Definitely worth finding this spot and getting there early they get that busy. I opened each sandwich that was wrapped in the aluminum foil, took a small bite from each and said to myself of how massive the sandwich was and, this is definitely a 10 out of 10 tasting sandwich. Then, I noticed a few long pieces of hair like stuck in the foil in the chicken vodka sandwich, then opened the Italian sandwich, and noticed a few strands of long pieces of hair. I reported this matter to DoorDash, but they did not refund my order or check into the order to see what options that I have. I am deeply disappointed of my first experience of trying Giovanni's out. I can see why the reviews are 5 stars and can understand how. However, my first impression is a bad impression and I am deeply disappointed and scared to try them again. read more

I was initially turned off but how thick the mozzarella slices were and the chicken cutlet was thick as well. I continued to eat, overall the taste wasn't bad. But an hour later my stomach started hurting and I was feeling nauseous. I used the bathroom 7 times within a 2 hour span after eating this sandwich. I had finally stopped in here after a couple months of walking by this place and was not disappointed one bit by how awesome it is! I got a chicken vodka parm which looked to be the most popular item there seeing how half the people sitting there eating had ordered that and I noticed the people ahead of me in line did the same. I also got their #22 which had chicken cutlet, mozz, bacon, lettuce, tomato and chipotle mayo. I absolutely loved both sandwiches.....price was great too!
