What place in NJ still gives this much Lox on a bagel...I'll wait
    Alyssa G.

This bagel shop is an absolute gem in Guttenberg. I began coming her in December and all I can think about is how much I have been missing out before giving this place a try. Everything is absolutely fantastic and fresh, the bagels are perfection and the burgers here are bomb. My favorite has to be the Lox bagel (delicious!), and they do not skimp one bit on the salmon. Yes they load it on there which is amazing compared to everywhere else where you can hardly see or taste the salmon. The shop itself is also very clean and the workers here including the owner are very nice. It is amazing to see a place that puts their customers and the quality of their food first before anything else. Hats off too the owner, he's doing a fantastic job all around.

Really impressive bagels for an even more impressive price. The cream cheese is fluffy and addicting, the bread airy and light. For less than $8, you can have yourself a fulfilling breakfast- or even an afternoon snack. The seating area is small (around 4 or 5 tables), so it isn't ideal for larger groups. If you're looking for a heavier meal, the delicatessen sandwiches are to die for. I ordered The Godfather on a roll and asked for it drizzled in oil and vinegar. That sandwich was as good as they get. I highly recommend you try Park Avenue Bagels at least twice in your life. Once just wont cut it.

I absolutely love this place. Any time I'm in the mood for a bacon egg and cheese, I know exactly where to go. Whether I'm ordering a breakfast bagel or a sandwich for lunch, they cook and prepare everything perfectly. The staff at Park Ave Bagels are sweethearts. I wouldn't consider myself a regular, but I definitely go often. The owner always recognizes me and asks me how my day is going. I usually call in my order for pick up because it's much quicker than waiting till I arrive. It tends to get busy on the weekends, so saving myself the wait is ideal. Definitely recommend. Closed on Mondays :-( Wah.

Good spot for a quick breakfast sandwich and some coffee for a reasonable price. Also ordered a bunch of bagels to take home for our large group that was visiting NY and staying in the area. Everything tasted fresh and the sandwiches and coffee were well prepared. The guy who took our order seemed a bit confused though and ended up giving us a large cafe con leche instead of the regular coffee we ordered, however he did charge us correctly for the regular coffee so whatever no big deal. Overall if I lived in the area would be here all the time.

Toasted everything, scooped with scallion tofu spread, onions and tomatoes and packaged sliced lox.

Needed a new bagel and lox place so found this one here. It's close to where we live, which is great. Ordered: Toasted everything, scooped with scallion tofu spread, onions and tomatoes and sliced lox. Results: Sandwich came super quick, bagel and scallion tofu spread were delish, but the sliced lox wasn't fresh sliced lox, it was packaged lox (and more on the salty side but that's not the store's problem). I called ahead and asked the lady who took the order, if they had fresh sliced lox, not from a package and she said yes. Maybe she didn't know the difference between fresh and pre sliced lox, no matter. We will def come back for the bagels and tofu spread but still have to go to my hated bagel place in Edgewater to get fresh lox.

One of the best everything bagels I've ever had! Friendly service, wonderful coffee, a great small business to support.

I love this place! It's small, with very limited seating, but we got lucky and 2 tables opened up as we were ordering. The food here is amazing, seriously all of our meals were perfect! The french toast was the best I've ever had. I will be back next time I visit NYC!

The setup is mostly DIY since you throw away your own garbage and etc. But they do bring your food and drinks out to you. They also have a restroom for customers and a self serve tap water station with glasses, which I appreciated. I ordered the chicken salad sandwich. It was alright, but I do think it could've used a little more flavor or seasoning.

The deluxe pho had all the meat fixings with homemade beef meatballs, thinly sliced sirloin, and pull apart brisket. The broth was very unique and flavorful, abit on the "dirtier" side (less clear but more umami flavor) sprinkled with kick of black pepper. Honestly I think it could compete with many broths. The noodles and toppings were standard. Overall perfect soup for a chilly rainy day. I only had some bites of the chicken pho but it tasted clean and soothing. The wings in their "pho" sauce were crispy but a little on the saltier side. Almost reminiscent of Korean fried chicken. Service: It was decent. Ambiance: Generally modern decor. Narrow with only about 5-6 tables of seating, so it can fill up fast. We had to wait about 10 min for a table to open up so we could get seated. One thing I found clever was the modular design of the tables that can come together to fit a slightly bigger party. Very unique!

I got parking right in the front. These sandwiches have been on my feed for a long time, and each video I see they all look so amazing. I had to go with the moost-popular: the Jiu Jitsu Sandwich ($18.5). This sandwich has --- lemme see: "Thinly Sliced Steak Seasoned In Homemade Chimichurri With Caramelized Onions Topped With Extra Chimichurri". I MEAN. This was a grown-up, bougie, international millennial sandwich of the 2020's. This hit and THEN SOME. Totally recommend. To accompany, I ordered some tater-tots; nothing to write home about, but they complimented the sandwich very well. I am a sucker for a good steak + chimichurri combo, and this sandwich hit.the.spot. The inside of the restaurant is decent. Luckily, I ate at the window-side, but since it is a very popular business (from what I can tell), seating is very limited. It's a very limited space; I do see many people picking up "to-go orders". However, if you get the chance to dine-in...DO IT. Nothing will beat the freshness of the first bite of that Jiu Jitsu Sandwich. Overall, 5/5. This place has deserved the HYPE and the ATTENTION!

The italiana had all your great italian cured meats as well as a truffle cream sauce that made the umami bomb even more umami. So good! Someone order a Hot Italian? Here I am…read more The legendary Florentine sandwich shop achieved global fame by earning some of the highest praise in food journalism for its massive, fresh-baked schiacciata sandwiches. Google their name and "best" and get hundreds of hits, but the majors who crowned them "best sandwich" title include Saveur Magazine, the big one touted by the family; Eater NY, ranking La Paradiso the most elite Italian sandwich outside of Italy; Las Vegas Weekly, who crowned them "Home of the world's best sandwiches"; TripAdvisor, for whom the Italian original is the most reviewed eatery with a near perfect rating; and The Infatuation NYC guides who promise the execution of the crispy, airy schiacciata bread completely justifies the hype. All 17 options looked amazing, so I spoke to a regular in line, telling her I couldn't decide between "La Paradiso", the most praised (even though she informed me "mortadella is just bolonie" or the Hot Italian, which was more my style. So, I did what any gluttonous American would do and I got both. And a Diet Coke, of course. La Paradiso has thinly sliced bolonie for a savory base, with creamy shredded stacciatella cheese, with sweet but earthy pistachio cream, and a sprinkle of toasted pistachio for texture (that I didn't detect). It was good, but I will likely fuggedaboutit. The Hot Italian had thin, lean turkey, spicy and smoky spreadable Calabrian pork sausage, a balancing provolone, calabrian chili honey, and peppery arugula (that they claim adds crunch that I didn't detect). Were they life-changing? No. But I rank Paradiso a 8.8 and Hot Italian a 10. And because everyone is hard-working and everything is so freshly prepared and cut, it's a class act. They should seriously make a sign that says, "Can't decide? Get two!" and then give me free sandwiches on my yearly trips for the idea.
