Found this place through social media. Drive to get there was 45min. The videos from social media showed it was a restaurant, casual but classy with a deli next door. It's basically an extension of the deli, not an actual restaurant feel at all. Our table was so close to the soda fridge that we couldn't move the chair back if we didn't want to break the door. Anytime a customer came to get a drink, we had to move so they could open the fridge door. The service was very good. Friendly young man. The food was good but a little pricey for the amount we received. We ordered an appetizer and bread bowl of pasta with bolognese. Their fresh mozzarella is very good. The bread bowl itself was not flavorful at all. We ended up throwing that part out. The sauce was good though. The other bread bowl we got was filled with pasta done in their Parmesan wheel. It was meh. Very dry. Needed more garlic or something for some oomph! The rainbow cookies were good but didn't seem any different than other places I have had them at, just pricier. i had ordered a tray of food and i was displeased with their recipe i was unaware of their use of heavy cream in the recipe.. i voiced my displeasure and the owner was ready to replace it without having me ask for it first.. i was very pleased the way they handle my issue and how fast they proceeded to giving me another trey of food in less then 30 minutes! that was impressive. they have my respect and future business after this! thank you so much guys well done! people loved the food. read more

As an all italian transplant from hoboken to cliffside park I've been on the hunt for a close italian deli when I can't get to fiores in hoboken my first choice ... this Cuomos is no where near the authentic level Italians expect . The reason it got a one star is the Mutz it was good. The cold cuts had no taste /flavor at all past rotten and the grated cheese had flakes looks like bugs shells ... I did try to call to alert them but was told I'd get a call back . Too late now had to replace them.(see photo) read more

Heard good things about this place so took a trip to see for myself. Walked in first thought was this looks like it's going to be good. Was greeted by who I believe was the owner. Very nice man asked if we were going to sit and eat. Had a table cleaned off for us. Ordered the chicken Parm sandwiches. Food was served warm, chicken cooked well, sauce was good, fresh mozzarella on it . Staff was nice, My daughter loved her chicken Parm sandwich, as a note she usually doesn't like food with red sauce, but this one was good. Bread toasted perfectly, they didn't drown the sandwich in sauce and good amount of fresh mozzarella. Definitely have to try other things on the menu so we will be back. Growing up in Brooklyn and seeing the strong reviews, I was really excited to try Cuomo and Sons. Unfortunately, my experience was the exact opposite of what I expected. They charged me $20 for just 0.7 lb of seafood salad (pictured) and $6.50 for two small cookies. I usually don't complain about pricing, especially in today's age, but $30 a lb for seafood salad, from a deli, is borderline outrageous. On top of that, I ordered the Piadina chicken cutlet panini, which is supposed to come with hot cherry peppers, Swiss cheese, and roasted pepper mayo. Instead, I was given the wrong sandwich (pictured): breaded chicken with mozzarella, sun-dried tomatoes, and no mayo at all. Actually saw this place on Instagram and decided to try it while I was in the area. I was very glad that I did. It's like any good Italian deli.....loaded with Italian desserts, italian canned goods etc. The place was busy which is also another good sign. We got a chicken parm sandwich with vodka sauce and a ham and cheese sub. The chicken parm was outstanding, plenty of breaded chicken, fresh mozz, and loaded with sauce. The fresh mozz was amazing, nicely melted and gooey. Loved it. The second hero was also very good. Authentically Italian. The service was friendly and the wait wasn't bad considering how busy it was. Each component was top quality, but the sandwich needed another item to hold it together. Seafood salad was packed with fresh ingredients and tasted of good quality oil. Sliced mortadella was the real McCoy, direct from Italia. A package of 6 small filled cornettos, from Cianciullo, seemed pricey at $12.00, but was very good. My Favorite Deli!! This rating isnt from a one time visit either. I've been going to this deli forever and its NEVER disappointing. From the moment you walk in your greeted warmly by staff and owners, the place is always busy- I usually get a MASSIVE hero tuna or Italian just, an amazing!!! Cappuccino (Cuban girl needs her coffee) and then I always grab the octopus salad WOWOWOWOW delicioso. They have quality cold cuts, and every Italian ingredient you need. While searching on Yelp for open bagel shops near West New York, I came across the Cuomo & Son's page. We decided to give it a try and made the quick drive over to the deli; since it was a holiday, there was no shortage of street parking on Broadway. C&S is a traditional Italian deli/shop; they have lots of gourmet foods for sale and a large deli counter. The staff was very friendly. We got two deli sandwiches to go - the Napoli and the Molfetta. We also got a cup of chicken soup since the chef said he just prepared it. The soup was so hot though it burned through another customer's container; she had to come right back and ask for a new soup since it leaked out everywhere. The staff said they've been having trouble getting containers and supplies due to supply chain issues. The soup was tasty and had giant pieces of chicken; would've been better with more veggies though. The Molfetta sandwich was really good. I forgot to request any condiments on it it however it wasn't dry at all. The Napoli sandwich wasn't our favorite - the seasoning on the capicola or hot ham was a bit overpowering, the meat has a heavily peppered rim. They threw in small bags of chips with our sandwiches which was nice. C&S is on Ubereats so we'll probably try delivery from here in the future since it did take a while to check out coming in person. Glad we found this new local spot on yelp. read more

I love this place. The staff and owner are amazing. I brought a friend of mine here recently and he said, this place feels like the personification of love put into food and atmosphere. It's so welcoming and feels like home. Taylor ham, egg white omelet with potatoes and fresh bread toasted with fresh olive oil.
