(It only takes one interaction to understand why.) you can sit outside in nice weather, but the chit chat inside makes you feel especially welcome. My only regret is we forgot to get cannolis on the way out. (Probably because the portions are huge.) Not far off the highway so you can keep dad feeling like we're still making good time. I ordered delivery from here on a Sunday, took about 45 min, not bad. But the food was below mid. I ordered the buffalo wings, garlic knots, a small cheese pizza with vodka sauce instead of marinara & mushrooms, and a cannoli. The wings were not Buffalo, they were a mix between Buffalo and bbq. If I had known, would not have ordered. Did not like the bbq sauce flavor. I also asked for ranch as I despise bleu cheese but alas, I did not get ranch and had to eat my wings plain. Garlic knots were perfect. The pizza tho. Ugh, it was so bad. They made a cheese mushroom pizza with way too much cheese and then put the vodka sauce on top after!!! Like a drunken grandma pie. That's not what I wanted. I asked for, "a cheese pizza with vodka sauce." It was so soggy that it soaked through the bottom of the box. Stayed soggy even after reheating in the oven. I ate half a slice and tossed the rest sadly. I won't be ordering from here again. The cannoli was fine but wouldn't order again either. The only thing I would eat again is the garlic knots. My wife and i were on vacation in new york city and our hotel was in secaucus. We were hungry late at night, we called literally 15 minutes before closing time. The guy on the phone said "you are hungry? Come on over, we still feed you!" 5 minutes before closing, they made us some hot subs (they already cleaned all the cutting machines for the cold cuts, but we have been told that beforehand on the phone that this could happen). The subs were gigantic, wished i would find the picture i took. i had the meatball with marinara sauce and that delicious mozzarella (haven't had such a good mozzarella outside of europe!). Ever since then, we tried their breakfast sandwiches and paninis, which are delicious as well. We liked that cozy atmosphere of an awesome east coast italian deli. Holy shmoly, I love this place. I am not usually in this part of town, so I honestly was not sure how I would be received when I walked through the door. But the staff was incredibly welcoming right from the start, and that alone earns them five stars. You never know what to expect in a new neighborhood, but they set the tone immediately. It feels like a family run place, even if it is not actually run by family. It has that warmth. You can tell it is an important part of the neighborhood. I even noticed pictures of community members on the wall, which says a lot. Now, the food. There is hot food, cold food, and plenty of items you can take home. I ordered a chicken parmesan sandwich, and let me tell you, it was the size of a skinny football. I am not exaggerating. It took me almost a day and a half to finish it. It tasted exceptional, and I actually had to stop myself from eating the whole thing in one sitting so I would not slip into a food coma. One tip, eat it while it is hot. That is when it is at its peak power. My friend agreed with me about the overall vibe and quality. If I am ever in the neighborhood again, I will gladly go out of my way just to try more of their dishes. You do not find spots like this easily. New York City has great food, but a place with this combination of warmth, quality, portion size, and charm is rare. In another city, this could easily be a reservation only spot packed every night. My beautiful wife located this place and when i tell you, i thanked her all the way home. Lets start out by walking in the door and getting this homely, old school italian feel. It was 40 mins before closing on a Sunday, the complete staff still made us feel lived and welcomed. They went through the menu with us, they described anything that was needed. Let's get to the beautiful ambiance, we sat outside and had a nice romantic evening together. The food was beyond delicious. I got a chicken cutlet parm with vodka sauce on a huge hero. The flavor was on point, texture of vodka sauce was NOT overwhelming. The amount of mozzarella they put on it was perfect to where it had a nice even melt. I've eaten from Natoli's three times. The first was a crispy chicken cutlet sandwich, the second was a penne and chicken parm meal and the third was for two slices of pizza. The chicken cult sandwich was delicious. Even with the condiments and lettuce in the sandwich the chicken was still crispy. Very, very good. 5 stars. The chicken parm was good but definitely not the best I have had. Chicken was crispy but I thought the sauce was on the bland side. 4 stars. The pizza was just okay. The slices were big which was good but the bottom of the pizza was flimsy. It may have been because I brought it home in their small box so maybe being in the box made the bottom of the pizza less crispy/a bit soggy? I'm not sure. I had to add salt and garlic to the slice which I never have to add salt to pizza. Honestly, probably better for your health but I cannot get over the soft bottom of the pizza. 2.5-3 stars. The restaurant is a small convenience store as well. Many family photos on the wall and grocery store products along the wall and in the refrigerators for purchase. Definitely worth it! Every time that I've been here, I have tried something new and I have never regretted it. I brought a coworker here and he said that it was the best pizza he had had in his entire life, and he still thinks of that pizza. I started coming here because most of the pizza joints that I've had on the island have closed and I usually stay in Secaucus when I visit the area, since I'd rather take a bus or pay a toll than pay the extremely high room rates in NYC! All of the staff are great, it can get busy, but assuming you're able to stand in line, they will get to you. Just don't be a jerk to the staff! Came for my comfort sandwich (a chicken cutlet fresh mozz LTO mayo on a long roll) and was very pleased with my lunch. I think we might like this more than Gio's haha. The chicken cutlet was perfectly cooked and no yucky bits of any of that. Just good chicken. The service is I guess on the slower side but I didn't mind. It was 25 mins for 2 sandwiches but the bread was so perfectly crusty I immediately forgot about the wait after the first bite. Due to the high star rating we drove here from NYC on our way upstate. We give them a 3.5 rating. We bought lasagna and an Italian hero. The lasagna was okay- so much cheese but they make their own mozzarella which is nice. The lasagna noodles were over-cooked, not mushy but too soft. We weren't sure if there was ricotta in it, but their was a lighter more liquid white cheese in the center. There was also ground beef, but we like sausage but that's just our own preference. The Italian sandwich had Thumann's cold cuts- which is used in Jersey. The cold cuts were good but the bread is horrible- soft, gummy, like a subway sandwich or grocery store roll! Why????? How hard is it to get good bread? They had Diet Manhattan Special and ravioli from Queen Anne in Brooklyn- why not get bread there or at an Italian Bakery? We drove to Uncle Guiseppe's and bought crisp Italian bread and transferred the inside- which was so much better. Natoli's is old school Italian ambiance with great service, but it's nothing to return for so we won't be back. read more

Plenty of seating and tons of homemade desserts. Also, has a cute little grocery mart. The space itself is a little tight but plenty of seating inside; and more seating outside on the sidewalk which is nice!
