Every city has to have a locally owned specialty pizza place that everyone adores. 575° Pizzeria is that spot in Amarillo. While visiting Amarillo, my girlfriend and I came to 575° for lunch at her recommendation to meet with one of her friends. There was a large graduation lunch happening when we got there, so we had to wait a bit for a table, but it wasn't long before we were seated. Inside there is a bar in the middle with plenty of beers on tap, a few large TVs for your sporting needs, and a bicycle hanging from the ceiling. Our waiter was a friendly guy and got us situated with drinks before we ordered. We all got ourselves individual pizzas while my girlfriend also got herself some caprese as a starter. I ordered their Bender pizza which had their red sauce, mozzarella, Canadian bacon, bacon, Italian sausage, and pepperoni. Your standard meat-lovers affair. For a small 8-inch pizza, they loaded that sucker up with toppings but in return I made it disappear as I smoked the entire thing right then and there. Incredible stuff. I don't have too much to add on top of this, but the pizza was really well done. The crust was crispy while still soft and a meat-lovers pizza being loaded with so many bacon bits that it sheds toppings with the slightest motion is exactly what I want to see. Amarillo actually has a decent pizza place - what a surprise!! If you're wanting good pizza this is probably your best chance in Amarillo. It's a bit pricey, but if you're the king of pizza in a small town - then I guess you can go for it. They have some adult versions for a more complex flavor profile than your generic pepperoni or supreme options. Decent beer options as well. read more

Business trip to Amarillo and was craving pizza. I yelped 575 pizzeria and was very pleased. Let's start with the ambiance and the friendly hostess. Not sure of her name but very bubbly and full of suggestions for what to try on the menu. I sat at the bar and tried a white sangria. Very refreshing, and ice cold. You will want a second one, definitely recommend and the taste is divine. I ordered the jake n bake, kamehameha, half and half small. More than enough to fill you up and keep you sated. Families and parties were taking place while I was there. The bartenders paid attention to details and checked on me often. The ambiance inside was very modern, with bikes hanging from the rafters and very casual. We started with a spinach salad that was very good and some cheesy bread that was delicious. Then the main star of the night came and it was delicious. The Johnny Drama with pepperoni added to it. The crust was thin but crispy and yummy, and the pine nuts were an added surprise. We were told this is THE place to go for Pizza in Amarillo. Uh, NOPE! Pizza was thin, not much toppings - NO sauce - it had like stewed tomatoes on the crust for sauce and the pepperoni on top was burnt. Service was very slow and when we were ready to go - it took forever To get out check. - needless to say we won't be back. I know this is Texas - but there has to a better pizza place around Amarillo that some one from Chicago would be half way happy with ? We're going to keep looking. I have no clue why this place has 5 stars. The only good part was the customer service. I had ordered through Door Dash, which didn't allow me to select just a simple cheese pizza, so I called in. Guy was great. Changed it. I literally got a pizza base. With cheese on top... Also ordered caprese... Which came with soggy ass tomatoes that I wouldn't give to my dog, on the side, some oil, and I honestly don't know wtf the brown sauce is. Mole? Rotting salsa? Soooooo. Don't order the caprese to go ever would be my recommendation, and be very very very very specific if you want a cheese pizza. Say it slowly with me. "I would like a cheese and tomato sauce pizza with the pizza crust underneath." I've been driving for 10 hours and this is my halfway point. The slices are always filled with toppings, and plenty of sauce, but never soggy or burnt. The service is always great and food is done in a timely manner no matter how busy they might be, which can be busy on a Saturday night. Hi absolutely recommend 575 Pizzeria to any avid pizza lover. I asked for some recommendations and she recommended 5 different pies. This was a good indication that she knew what she was talking about. I narrowed them down to trying a Small (8 slice) half n half Bender and The Gnarly Daniels. The pizza took about 24 mins for it to come out. With how busy it was that wasn't bad at all. The pizza was amazing. Gnarly Daniels had just the right amount of sweet and spice. Great recommendations, Tried the Blonde Ale beer which was very good as well. My family and I have been to this location and it's one of our favorite places to dine (especially on a Monday night) We typically don't look at the menu anymore since we know what we like. The waitresses/waiters are prompt and polite. You can see the teamwork with the employees. They have a large waiting area with padded seats, in the dining area it is open with a full bar in the middle. On opposite ends, there are 2 TVs that diners can enjoy. In the back of the restaurant (with their own door) is where you can pick up your to-go orders. Yes, several of my friends loved this option. But it wasn't particularly my cup of tea Phoebe - This is perhaps the best pizza I have ever had. The artichokes were simply to die for! Just a heads up, it's more dense then you would typically expect it to be. Edelweis - This is a decent option for vegetarians. However, it does lack a little kick.
