The fried mushrooms were big and juicy, nicely battered! Best I've had in a while. The patty milk was delicious. The beef patty was cooked to perfection. Fries on the other were cold not good. So he asked if we could change the fries for onion rings. The waiter was very nice and he brought us the onion rings. However they were a little bit greasy and also cold. It was a nice ambient. It wasn't very busy, however it looked like they had a lot of regulars, family atmosphere. I would definitely go back. read more

Even with the bad reviews I figured I'd give it a try, and to be frank, I just walked out. I got sat but nobody ever came. Nobody even came to say "we will be right with you" I worked in the restaurant industry for a long time and I can't harp on this enough. It's so important for a table to be greeted! Even if they where busy which they weren't. It tells the guest "we see you and where coming. I see myself as a pretty laid back individual and for me to do this is out of the ordinary, I'm pretty bummed, I didn't even get to try there food. And that is the only reason they didn't get 1 star. This steakhouse deserves 5 stars because all the food I ordered was served correctly and it was really freaking good. For appetizer we shared the pickle fries which was very unique and tasty. I ordered the grilled chicken breast (smothered) with a side salad and a baked potato. It was all gone in no time. My mother ordered the house salad and my brother ordered the honey chipotle chicken crispers. They approved of their food as well. The onion rings are the best! Additionally, we had good service and the place is just beautiful. Not to mention, the drinks are on point too. Except for the marg. I'm picky when it comes to margs though. Good job on everything else. I'm still waiting on RRB to come in order to rate it as a music venue. read more

We had a group of six for dinner. We saw the two previous five star reviews and thought we were set. Let me say it was a rough night. The table ordered two 16-oz ribeye steaks, two 10-oz ribeyes, a chicken fried steak and a stuffed hamburger steak. The good: The two chicken fried steaks were good (more on why we had a second chicken fried steak coming below). The stuffed hamburger steak was also good. The bad: All steaks were ordered rare or medium rare. One 16 oz came out rare. The rest were overdone - medium or worse. The ribeye steaks are also cut where parts of the steak are missing, even though in the attached meat market those same missing pieces are there. One 10 oz Ribeye looked like it was basically cut in half and missing the better part. There were six of us. It took over 20 minutes between the first and last entree arrival at our table, at four different times, so we really didn't get to eat together. We sent back one 10 oz Ribeye and asked to get a second chicken fried steak instead and just gave up and got an order of okra for one of the others. Service in general was a struggle. Our waitress was nice, but I think a bit overwhelmed. She was also the acting manager since the owner and real manager were tending to another location. Summary: For me, I won't be back. Too many faults to overcome. If you'd like to try it, I'd suggest asking if they have a real manager on duty. They also had an issue with one cook being gone our night and having a second, but no real management. It was a very strange experience. Although they brand themselves as a steakhouse, I would avoid the steaks, at least as they were done for us tonight. Sad for a steakhouse. read more

There was 4 of us who ate here.The service was extremely slow. The tortilla chips were tough. The Cowboy corn bites were good. The house salads were good as well. My chicken fried steak was burnt & tough! My baked potato was burnt & cold. The other two steaks were so tough had to cut them with a pocket knife. The steak knife would not cut them! Their steaks were cold as well. The onion rings were ok. Only one out of the four of us had a good chicken fried steak & French fries. I am I student from Yorktown high school and they got rid of the student menu which makes it a lot more affordable to get lunch when there is one. I order honey chipotle chicken strips and they gave me just chicken strips... not what I ordered!! The fries were soggy and cold. I spent $20 for a hamburger and honey chipotle chicken strips which I didn't get btw. They are horrible and need to be closed down tbh!!! read more

Stopped in for lunch at 1:45 on a Tuesday. Place was fairly quiet at that time. I was greeted and sat fairly quickly. Server came to the table, got my drink order and promptly returned with with my drink and took my order. Everything was good till about 20 minutes later, I had to ask where my Patti Melt was (first visit back to table). Server said she would check on it and returned 5 minutes later with my plate. Patti Melt was hot and flavorful, but the rest of the plate was loaded up with battered fries that were warm at best and tasted like they had been under a heat lamp for the extra 15 minutes it took to cook my burger. We visited Yorktown as a side trip for personal family reasons on Veterans Day. We looked for a place to have a late lunch and came upon this steakhouse. The service started out a little slow, as we stood at the entrance unattended, while the host was on the phone. However once we were seated , the waitress was very nice, attentive and helpful. The service was fast and the food was great. We ordered the avocado chicken sandwich, the cheeseburger and the fried gizzards. The food arrived quickly and was very good. Margaritas were good and the beer was cold. And the setting was very nice and welcoming. The staff was friendly and they were honoring our veterans with a free meal. We were there for a rehearsal dinner on April 13th. The room that we were in was great. I liked the decor. The service was HORRIBLE. My husband got his choice of dinner about 45 minutes before I got mine. It did not appear that it was the fault of the waitstaff. There were about 30 people in the party. We tried to talk to a manager but there was no manager on site - or they didn't want to talk to us. The father of the groom - who was paying for the dinner - and the groom were served LAST. I realize that there are not a lot of choices in Yorktown - and that you probably don't care about this review because you have a captive audience. It would have been nice if there was someone there in management that actually cared. read more

Went for lunch in a party of three and was seated at a table for eight in a separate room between the restaurant and bar, even when it appeared suitable tables were available in the restaurant area. There's was confusion as to who was supposed to take care of us and after a five minute delay, the waitress from the bar took our order. After more than thirty minutes of waiting and several reminders, the food eventually arrived... - it was cold and obviously had been sitting elsewhere for some time.
