For me the Salisbury steak was the best I've ever had. I'm from the Midwest and that was a staple but when I got to Cali it was rare to find. Fun fact we own a family restaurant since 1983 and that was on the menu but people really didn't order it like that so we discontinued it. Maybe if it tasted like yalls it would've worked. Anyway whenever we are in Austin again we are coming straight there. I love the popcorn snack before the meal as well and that could've been my dinner by itself. Cool vibe as well throughout so keep up the good work! Oh and the burnt ends grilled cheese was amazing as well and the fries! ALLLLL GOOD!!!

I opted just got an Arnold Palmer but the drink menu had some cute cocktails and mocktails, as well as a nice selection of beer and wine. Instead of bread, our server brought us a basket of seasoned popcorn. The popcorn had almost like a Cajun flair, but it wasn't spicy. It reminded me of the Ground Round chain from when I was a little girl. We decided to try the corndog shrimp appetizer. I couldn't decide on an entree because everything looked so good, so I did the Parmesan chicken and my coworker did the steak salad. The shrimp arrived so quickly with four large pieces of shrimp on a stick wrapped in corn dog batter and fried to a golden brown, with a blueberry mustard dipping sauce. The shrimp were delicious and while I didn't get much of the blueberry in the mustard, I enjoyed the sweetness it provided. My Parmesan chicken was a crispy and juicy breaded chicken cutlet with a lemon cream, artichoke hearts, and what appeared to be prosciutto on top. It was served with a side of pesto couscous with grape tomatoes and cucumbers. I wish I had ordered mashed potatoes on the side, because I wanted something to soak up the lemon cream sauce, which was the highlight of the chicken. We also were served 3 mini cornbread muffins with honey butter. My coworker said the salad was just okay, and was a little on the small side. The desserts were definitely a MUST and if you visit Moonshine and don't save room for the Espresso Brownie or the Peanut Butter Pie, you're going to regret it. The brownie was so fudgey and warm and served with ice cream. It was decadent. The peanut butter pie was the biggest slab of PB pie I've ever had with a thick Oreo crust. I wish I had someone with me to share it, it was huge. Overall, if I lived in the area I would definitely be back to try other things.

Not open every day, but ooohhwee when they are! For our first visit, we opted for the Friday fish special. Perfect fillets with a light cornmeal crust. Mmm mmm. Expect Paper plates and just FANTASTIC FIRED FOOD with amazung sides. Oh and ... goodness my heart... their peach cobble. Super diwn home casual and friendly. Seriously. It was a funky, Texas cool old building that you could tell had been there a while. They have a friendly Boxer and a Papillon walking around saying hello to everybody. I ordered the Fried Shrimp plate which came with three sides and I chose Coleslaw, Fried Okra and Green Beans. It was all stellar. I was talking with the owners and they were very nice and friendly. I told them I'd heard that their Fried Chicken was the best in the county and they asked me if I would like a piece on the house, so I told them I'm pretty full, so just bring me a wing. Gracious goodness it was fantastic. They later showed up at the club and they brought and gave to me the rest of their Chicken that hadn't sold by closing time. What a charming place and what a wonderful group of folks. I can't say enough good about Meuth's. Many call it the best fried chicken in Bastrop County and I am inclined to agree. If you are ever in the Red Rock- Rockne area give them a try and you will not be disappointed. I can't wait to go back!

We were seated right away, we chose the chef's table because we had already eaten dinner at home, but just wanted to go out for a stroll around the pearl and grab some dessert. We ordered the lemon blueberry Panna cotta and not only is it delicious but it's also beautiful! It looks like a work of art. I ordered one of their craft beers and we got some french fries on the side just to offset the sweet. Definitely a great dessert if you are not wanting something too sweet or two filling. It has been over 10 years since I have been here to eat, but being there reminded me how much I loved the last meal I had here so I am eager to go back for lunch or dinner!

We also had the snapper throats and loved them. The aioli was a great sauce with them. I had the gulf catch of the day, which was grouper, and it was so good. Great seasoning, perfectly flaky and moist, a nice crust on the outside. With that we had some jalapeno corn bread which was also delicious. Not too dry at all. I was hoping for it to be spicy but it was not. For dessert, I gad panna cotta and it was a great ending. Not too sweet, but the berries made up for that. The lavender meringue bites had a great crunch. Our server (Maya) was excellent. She was so friendly and helpful. Finally, the decor is unmatched anywhere. It used to be a brewery and they kept the old pipes and valves, which look very cool. It has a great vibe. I highly recommend. Without the need to, I'll mention anyway that it's not cheap. But it's worth it.
