I had not eaten onion rings and a cheeseburger in quite a while. When I bit into the Slim cheeseburger, I was pleasantly surprised at the crispness of the smash patty. The meat was seasoned perfectly and paired well with the hand breaded onion rings. Very delicious! Service was friendly and fast, too.

Definitely do not miss the Jon Perez lounge next to the Stonecellar. Their chicken fried steak is excellent, but the real hit is the crispy skin salmon on mushroom wild rice. One of the best dishes I've ever had! Very good service. Ryan, our sever, was excellent. We like the ambience at the bar too and they have great cocktails.

Great gouda bites to complement the fried pickles and excellent Cowgirl Junkie pizza!

Found a really cute spot tucked away in Round Top…read more You walk in through this green courtyard with fire pits and chairs and it kind of forces you to slow down for a second before going inside which I actually loved. Just felt calm right away. Inside is super open with really tall ceilings. There's a small bar upstairs they call a speakeasy... it's not really hidden since you can see it from downstairs, but it's still a nice little vibe. Drinks were really good too. They stay pretty busy, but service didn't miss a beat. Food came out looking good and actually tasted just as good. Always a win. Only thing is when it gets packed, it does get pretty loud, especially upstairs at the bar. So just something to keep in mind depending on the vibe you're going for. And honestly, the fire pits outside were probably my favorite part. Perfect spot to sit and hang out for a bit. If you're in Round Top, it's definitely worth checking out.

What a beautiful and charming restaurant in Round Top!…read more First, they have plenty of parking on the side and the back, love that! When you walk in you find yourself in a combination of farm style restaurant with stunning decor and a cute boutique and general store vibe section. We got seated immediately and ordered our drinks and food. We started with an order of pines frites and bacon wrapped dates with cheese My drink was the lychee martini and it was so delicious and fresh, a little on the sweet side but for me it was perfect. My food was the palazzo pasta and added wild caught salmon, I like it. It had too much pepper for my taste but still ok. My friends ordered the chicken salad, wedge salad and salmon, scholtskys sandwich and salad with shrimp. They have a bar upstairs and a beautiful selection of wine, this is such a charming place to visit when in Round top.

The waitress was great. She asked me how I wanted my eggplant fixed crispy or soft. She was efficient and the salad was very nice and I like serving myself so I can take the kind of stuff that I like. There was a variety of things to choose from as far as the salad was concerned it was good very good. The breadsticks were very yummy and garlic and cheesy and grilled nicely. The marinara sauce for dipping was yummy. It's very plain atmosphere. But I found that some of the little holes in the wall have better food than big fancy restaurants. Our food was still hot when we carried it out of the restaurant and brought it home was still warm in the container. I like that the food comes to me hot so I know then that they've cooked it well. I definitely will go back there. I understand their pizza is good too, but we didn't have pizza.

The to go utensil pack is a knife and spoon only. We ordered salads and spaghetti and meatballs. I asked for Greek Dressing and received a white creamy dressing that was a cross between ranch and creamy Italian. I asked for chicken on my salad, there was one.

Reba's is easy to find and quite convenient. It's a large restaurant with a very nostalgic feel…read more The place is open and lots of seating. Music is great! We grabbed a menu and sat down. I noticed it's a bit limited on burgers and sandwiches but perhaps good for the area and easy for the staff to make. We ordered and added some pies, paid in cash for the discount and left to fill our cups. The cashier and another employee had conversations amongst themselves while we were ordering and paying. Felt a bit awkward since we didn't want to interrupt their hugging and or whatever they were doing. The sweet tea stayed mostly empty but lots of unsweetened tea. We dove right into our pies first. The Almond Joy didn't taste like the candy bar as much as an amaretto coconut pie but really good! The buttermilk pie was really good too. I ordered the chicken poblano "burger". The lettuce was sadly very soggy as was the whole sandwich. Thankfully the bun was toasted because there was way too much mayo. I noticed right away that it was just bland. The chicken was thick which is great but it was bland on bland on bland. No poblano flavor. I looked for the peppers. They were grilled/sautéed and thin. Soggy sitting under the lettuce. No flavor. The fries weren't anything special but the crunch. The tea was sadly tasteless as well. I really wish there was more to say. My mom's sandwich was just sort of...there. Nothing special to talk about. I'd go again for pie and coffee alone and only if I was desperate for something to eat. There may be better places to eat in town. It's slow paced inside. Good to watch cars go by and imagine what the place looked like years ago.

(FYI, I live in San Antonio and am very tempted to take a road trip for my next yummy slice.) Then there dessert...well, located within a rocks throw of Brenham, you know what to expect, and it ain't just yummy cookies and cake. Yes, ladies and gentlemen (drumroll) you guessed it...BLUE BELL ICE CREAM!! Spoiler alert they failed to have my favorite daiquiri ice but you're not going to lose me over that. (Hint: just saying for future options. I'll be on the lookout next time I'm rolling down 290 East.) All good and well, the girls behind the counter were attentive and nice. And the restaurant rang of a good place to go after a go hometown Buffalo's Friday night football game. (This is Texas you know.) Thanks Reba (if there is a flesh and blood Reba out there) for expanding to your latest downtown location. LOVE IT!
