I used 5th Ave Body Shop on 5th St, Oroville for the first time recently. I received a very fair estimate for the repairs needed for the fender bender I had. In addition, Bob (the owner) whenever possible found me used parts to additionally lower the total cost of the repairs. I also needed strut work & a wheel realignment, which he outsourced for a reasonable price as well. I told him when I needed my car back & he was able to complete the job in the time frame required. Me and Bobby stood in front of my car and at and he told me that he'd be able to take it off fix it the best he could to make it look as good as possible and I told him that was fine. I bring the chlorine he calls me back three hours later waste three hours out of my day and is in the back working on four other cars, which is clearly the reason why he didn't work on my he was completely over booked. By far, the worst customer communication service I've ever received I would never recommend going here yeah I'll tell you what you wanna hear and when it gets down to it, it's gonna be something totally different. He wasted my whole day trying to fix my me and tell me that he never even took apart the parts to try to fix what he said he would and when I asked him how come he didn't at least to the best of his ability he says there you go was very and recommend this place in a lifetime read more

I went in to have a few scratches repaired on my truck. I took it to another body shop and got a pretty huge estimate, truthfully I had already planned on going to 5th street body shop because ive seen some of the cars that have come out of there but a buddy suggested the other guy. In the end I went there and got and estimate that was 3-4 hundred less and he scheduled my appt for the following week and I just got it home (2 long gruling days without my favorite car). I am very satisfied with the promptness of completion, quality and the service! Definitely will use them again.. They have been in businesss for 42 years so they must be doing it right! read more

We have used 5th Avenue auto body for so many of our needs. My car has been hit multiple times and other misc items needing to be repaired on both our cars. Bobby and his dad are honest, fast, friendly, and reliable. Yesterday my passenger window regulator broke causing the window to fall down and not go back up, I called up 5th Avenue and Bobby said he could have it done in an hour. Having rear-ended a pole, I took my car to this shop for an estimate. I knew the cost would exceed my large deductible, but not by much, and I wanted to avoid making a claim on my insurance. Their price was far lower than the other two quotes I received, which made me happy, but somewhat nervous. I talked to the owner and he assured me he would be able to do the work for that price. He explained that it was a matter of judgment as to how many hours would be involved with the repair and that judgment could vary among estimators. Since he'd been in business for over 35 years, I trusted his judgment. When I got my car back on the day promised, I was thrilled. They did a beautiful job; you'd never know it had been damaged. In addition, they dropped me off at work and picked me up. What service! I cannot recommend this family business enough! read more

The body work on my car was fabulous! They were really fast, they worked with my insurance company, and I cannot fault their body work. That being said, there was a small issue that lost them a star: Someone went through everything inside my car and they took two of my filled coffee club cards that I'd been saving for a rainy day and $15 that I keep in my glove compartment for parking fees and tolls. When we called to inform them that someone there has "sticky fingers" we were told that they'd had a break-in. We were told that we should drop by and the management would replace the cash that was stolen, which is above and beyond their duty. I made the mistake of leaving "valuables," and that is entirely on me. If they had told us about the break-in when we arrived to pickup the car I wouldn't have taken a star off this review. But the extra 20 miles (one way) to go get $15, because they failed to tell us about the break-in when we were there, is aggravating. Luckily, we have business in Oroville tomorrow so the drive won't be a zero sum situation. read more

Great place to get your car fixed! I had heard good things about this shop but have never personally taken my vehicle before until this week. I had a hit and run, with bumper damage, and was just paying out of pocket for the damages because I didn't want another claim on for insurance. This shop got my vehicle in quickly and repaired it within the week. My car looked great, and they washed it as well before returning it.
