They have an auto help yourself station ( kinda like a gas station) where they charge your card by oz you poured out.so for about $25 I was able to try more then 10 different beers! Not a romantic hang out place , but def great to stop by for a good meal and a cold one. We Went here on 6/18/26. I was over billed on my Debit card by $21. When I reached out though email I got no response. I sent a 2nd email and they gave me a phone number to call. That number went to Voice mail and that box was full so unable to leave a message. Sent another email and Crickets so far! This is a great place. The bartender was doing it all. Greeted us, was super friendly and helpful and answered questions. The food was really good. An excellent crab cake, good wings and a nice looking cheesesteak. The chef really knows his job! We traveled to meet relatives from MD and it was worth the drive. Nice discovery! Good brews and good food. The place was hopping on a Friday night with community Halloween festivities underway in the lot behind the brewery and a full parking lot to the side. Everyone inside was friendly and the beer was cold. The brewery is a striking rehab of former powered milk factory with a huge room to the side that one day had people offering face paintings and on the next day, a corn-hole competition. We had to escape from the Great Wolf chaos and I found this gem. I wasn't sure what to expect and going at night didn't give justice to the great location. There were nice Xmas lights outside too. We walked in and could tell there was a party going on in a big private room. But there were plenty of tables available. Great beer selection. I loved their system of using a card and pulling as much or as little as you want from the wall. Makes it less daunting to try things since you can get just a taste, a full pour or something in between. They had a great sour and my hubby tried several others. The food was amazing. Seriously. I got the chicken bruschetta cheesesteak and sweet fancy Moses was it good. Hubby got the wrap and clear his plate. Our kid and his bestie got chicken tenders bc kids. But ate well. Outstanding event!! We were here for a beer drinking event. We were VIP so that gave you a separate section with our own bartender and separate restrooms. We had a chance to meet the freakshow deluxe staff upclose and personal. The area indoors where the VIP section was very comfortable. Numerous tables, with a sofa for your comfort. Several of the beers I tried was refreshing. The Korean pork Belly was to die for! I even liked the coleslaw. The food was sold separately. Definitely worth it. The show was very entertaining. They asked for volunteers during their showtime. I actually became one of them. Loved every minute of it. They waited till night time before doing the fire eating trick. The entertainment portion was held outside. What a way to bring out my Saturday night. ( Loved it) Highly recommend checking them out. The Freakshow Deluxe is on facebook and they travel nationwide. There's a new chef, and we found the food to be pretty good! I'm not much of a beer drinker but the rest of our patty all found something they enjoyed. I'm a neighbor and REALLY want this place to do well. I love what they've done w the building. BUT: it's SO LOUD inside! Voices bounce around creating a huge din! Babes review: Good food but that's where the thoughtfulness ends. They had no vibe or atmosphere. The outdoor seating had no plants/flowers or decorations so i was just sitting there, sweat dripping, fighting off the flies and other creatures bombarding me and my wings (where moist towlettes wouldve been nice). An outdoor fan and some decor would go a long way. The inside is also an odd setup, having to stand behind people trying to enjoy their food and drinks while i try to get a drink myself. More of a bar setup than a brewery which is another vibe killer. The beer was good, food was pretty good but atmosphere killed it for me. I'd try it again in a year and hopefully they figure things out. 2/5 stars Mine: Food was banging, but yeah there was no vibe. Awful setup. It is very clear this is a brewery. Obviously, since it is in the name. What I mean by this is their focus is on the beer and not on the food. Both beers, the Kolsh and the IPA, I had, ate pretty good - well balance and smooth drinking, but definitely not the best I've had from small breweries. The food on the other hand is good, but the price point could be improved. $12.99 is kind of high for just a sandwich, even a good sandwich. Value added would be good, such as a side of fries. The sandwich taste is good and I really enjoyed the brisket and coleslaw combination. I'd definitely get that again. As for atmosphere, it is very loud. The space could use some sound dampening panels. I can't even imagine what it sounded like on opening day and here I am posting this at 1 pm on the second day open. Overall, really good place to hand out and enjoy a brew or two. It's clear 5th Compnay brewery thought this place out for optimal customer experience. But there is definitely some room for improvement in terms of food price point, atmosphere, and beer variety. I look forward to visiting again and seeing what they do! read more

We'd heard a lot about this place, so we decided to make a trip down for a fun Sunday afternoon. The beer wall is a great idea, and although we didn't try it, we might if we go back. The place is large and open, a really nice venue. We had just eaten lunch, so we didn't try the food, but the menu looked really good. My first beer was a Release the Baby, which was a pretty decent IPA. I tasted several other IPAs, but they all had odd flavor profiles, and weren't for me. I ended up having their Mexican lager, called The Streak, which I thought lacked something, it was more like a light Pilsner than a Mexican lager. Overall, their beer wasn't a big hit with me, but I'd be willing to go back and try rotating beers. Some of their events look fun too, and might be worth checking out. read more

Sub was delish (I added jalapeños) and I could only eat half. Very tender, tomato jam was a nice flavor, and the bun was soft with just enough chew. I'm from Alabama so not sure why they called it "Alabama coleslaw", but it's ok...they've added some very mild seasoning to give it a kick..but it's seriously mild Looks like it probably is a popular place on the earlier part of a weekend, and maybe evenings. Lots of beer options, brewed here. Wanting something tart, the Pina colada sour was recommended and hit the spot! Pleasant enough locale. The cork board mentions quite a few varying activities here...I may need to comeback Lol. After eating and reading reviews I had to go back in and look for the beer wall! Most interesting. Beers were on point meaning the ones we had, i. e., IPAs, Festbier, stout, double pils, were standard representations. The house cider was tart and dry but one had to get past the strange aroma of playdoh so I couldn't enjoy it at all. The raspberry seltzer reminded me of a sweet syrupy alcoholic version of a icee and the blueberry seltzer was like a seltzer only blue and no sweetness. It was very, very, very noisy and busy with a lot of young children running around on a Saturday afternoon which reminded me of a Chuck E. Cheese. We had to step outside to have any kind of conversation that didn't include shouting at one another. Even while outside we could still hear the cacophony of the indoor sounds. I think we'll come back on a weekday next time. Otherwise, beer was good and there's plenty of outdoor seating where it's quieter even with an occasional Amtrak that comes through. Really large nice place. Kind of loud but there is a room towards the back of that bothers you, it is hopping and we were there on a Thurs.! It is very modern. There were a lot of beer choices, ciders and wines on tap. You give them your credit card and lic. Info, and they start a "tab", which is them giving you a card that you insert above the tap of the beer/cider you want and it charges you by the ounce. It was fantastic as we tried 5 or 6 1-2 ounce servings and found our favorites. When done for the night you just take your card up and close out your tab. Food was good. Large portions. Only thing I thought could be improved was the slaw, it could be a little spunkier. Fun time. read more

Greatest brewery on Earth...staff is awesome, Craft beers are amazing...events are off the chain

Great beer, fun atmosphere, and friendly staff! Rather than serving traditional flights, they have taps where you can choose your beers and serve yourself. I opened a tab and was given a card to scan, pour the beer myself, sample different beers, and then close out my tab. I especially enjoyed their 'Mexicran' cranberry lager which I believe is seasonal and only offered during the fall/winter (visited December 2023). I enjoyed the self-service pouring so I can pour a portion of beer that I'm comfortable with rather than to do a flight, as some craft breweries I've visited would pour too much beer for one person to drink in their flights. Live music and arcade games are also a nice touch and they also host a lot of interesting events such as comedy shows that will have me wanting to come back in the future! read more

When we looked at the online menu a few weeks ago, it said WINE, MOONSHINE and then beer and liquor. Great! We get there, no wine. no moonshine. We ask why not...we were told the wine was a leftover from an event there, so they just added it to the menu. And they were "out" of moonshine. They also ran out of cider while we were there. Food was ok at best. Service was ok at best. Annoyed we went all the way there, as some in the group drink wine and some beer. Thought it would be a great place for both. Apparently not. Our local Perryville Little League hosted a cornhole tournament at 5th company. They went above and beyond to make the event as less stressful as possible. They donated the use of their facilities, donated a portion of food proceeds back to the league, and allowed us to set up some vendors outside on their deck. The food was amazing, as always!! It was a lively environment although I'm not a drinker, I was told they gave a good burger and that's definitely true. The 5th company is easily the best burger I've ever had, and I have every intention of coming back. they have a great puck system to alert you when your food is ready, and plenty of outside seating if the brewery environment is too loud for you like it is for me personally. So I would like to share my experience at 5th brewing company, the Day of the knight fights. I had spent $165 on VIP tickets for the event. Which provided, or at least the advertisement and the brochure they handed out at their stand, that you would receive front row seats, a shirt from Delaware dreadnoughts, and a beer mug. The event was supposed to start mid-afternoon, but something happened and the original event was canceled and it was an event from 7:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. You are dismay anybody who paid less than the VIP price basically had front row seats. Our VIP area consisted of a small group that was having a bachelor party and another group that was from a physical therapy center. We were reluctantly given a fold-out picnic table behind these groups. There were no T-shirts there were no beer mugs to say it was a mason jar of a lid on it with fifth brewing companies logo. When I made my complaints known to both the Delaware dreadnoughts and fifth brewing company, the blame was passed back and forth basically. I would like to say that one of the fighters for the Delaware dreadnoughts who was not fighting that evening and basically had just as good a seats as we had for $15 as he said. One of the ladies representing the announcer for the dreadnoughts assured us as they were going to send us the shirts they did give us a couple mason jars, she took our sizes and addresses and we have yet to have been sent these shirts. As for fifth brewing company, my suggestion is if you go in there to have drinks, you pay cash for mixed drinks at the bar. If you want to drink any of their beers you have got to get a card through your credit card that you can use at each one of the beer stations. After you are done using it you have to put it in a box that says either a 20 or 25% tip. Personally I don't understand this, since the plastic cups are there nobody serving you, etc etc. That night I wasn't feeling good so after buying my grandson one bottomless Coke and myself one beer I had a relative drive me home. I could not stay for the remainder of the evening. I didn't close my tab out but my twin brother had made sure that it had been done per my request. After checking my bank account I noticed that for one beer and like I said a Coca-Cola for my grandson I was charged $38 and some change. This is the second time that I've had a very serious upcharge I guess you could call it. So needless to say I do not see myself or any of my relatives that I had actually had driven from Frederick Maryland to enjoy this event with me, which they also had spent $165 on. It was an embarrassment. Evidently neither the Delaware dreadnoughts or fifth brewing company has a event planner, so you make your own choice I suggest for going any expensive events, but that is my opinion. read more

When you first enter there is no host or staff to greet you. It doesn't have the Cecil County feel of being welcoming. The seating is open seating and most of the open tables were not wiped down after other guests left. Going for the first time you have to figure out that the food and beer will require you to do two separate transactions. You open an tab and get beer tab card then pour your own from a beer wall. Unlike other breweries in the area you are unable to get a sample before having to pay for the beer. The beer wall is a just a chaotic mess of people trying to get to a tap without running into each other. The food was mediocre. My wife's sandwich and the fries we ordered were Just about lukewarm.
