Unbelievably perfect results. I called to get 2 items (one 60-75 year-old huge, heavy chest freezer and one 9-foot couch) removed from a basement with a steep, narrow stairway and cramped corners. I had been told by others that both items would have to be cut into pieces to be removed. Two days later, I stood amazed as Dom and Luis (?) got both out by themselves without any cutting and without the slightest nick or scratch to the walls or woodwork. Moreover, they went hilariously out of their way to make sure any mess from the leaking freezer was cleaned up as they went and the stairway carpeting was protected. Don't tell them, but I would have been happy to pay twice what they charged. Finally, as a bonus, they were both friendly and chipper as they could be. That kept me from sweating too much as I watched them do this with only a fraction of an inch to spare on every side with both pieces. I still can't believe it! read more

What is with 2020? Coronavirus, massive unemployment, civil unrest, and to top it off, we had major flooding in the Chicago area and across the midwest. It wasn't pretty. We had over a foot and a half of sewer back-up in our basement, and unfortunately, it soaked many items. We had to get rid of those items, and do it quickly. Now I realize many people flooded, but it was frustrating trying to get anybody to return calls. But not Dom, from 606 Junk! He got back to us immediately with a fair and reasonable quote. The service was unparalleled. Their kindness to me during a period where I was, and still am, under a lot stress and depressed has been duly noted. The workers were punctual and professional, and even humorous (in a good way of course). Patrick, Bart and Fanda were the best. I forgot to get the name of the gentleman I spoke with over the phone to arrange everything; he was great too. They came in, assessed the project, took damaged property out of the basement and hauled it away in record time. Thank you Yelp!! Now if only Yelp could help me find an organization that could assist me in replacing at least the water tank and boiler. My homeowners insurance only covered part of the mitigation. I had to get rid of an old heavy sleeper sofa. Called 606 Junk on a Friday afternoon - they answered the phone - did not have to leave a message - and scheduled me for Saturday, the next day. Received a phone call around 9 AM Saturday from Dominick saying they would be there by 10 - showed up right on time. It was a tight doorway space but they came prepared and took the necessary steps to ensure that no damage was done to my condo. Sofa was removed from a second floor condo unit in a courtyard building with no elevator. Dominick and his assistant were very personable and easy to work with.
