I took my iPhone XS Max for a screen replacement. I had to come back 3 times and on the last time they said it was my phone and not screen (phone was working properly--it was just cosmetic). They said they are putting my old screen back on but they didn't have it so THEY SAID, " we don't have your old screen so we will just put on one of ours, a broken screen and wait for the refund." My phone battery stopped working all of a sudden last week. I went to the mall to see what was wrong with it, and he said I only needed a battery replacement. When I went to the guys at 607, they explained to me that I needed two things replaced. Brian was super patient and walked me through te problems with my phone and how he was going to fix them. Good service, and quick. I came in with a broken screen, so they replaced my glass. My only complaint is that I don't think the new glass was put on correctly. The glass is too low on my screen, meaning the time, my battery charge, signal, etc. is slightly cut off at the top. This has no technological disadvantage, it is just annoying. Furthermore, my home button keeps sticking, and it never has prior to it being fixed here. I don't think it is big enough of a deal to go back and get it fixed, but it wasn't done the right way. read more

Not very technically inclined and customer service is awful. Would not recommend bringing in your computer if it has real technical needs. The tech said he "had never seen a battery this big in a computer" and later found out at Best Buy that all lap tops have big batteries like that now. Also Best Buy people said the inside didn't look cleaned at all. If you ask them questions or keep to their promises they attack and blame you. They even said "the customer isn't always right". It's sad that this is what Binghamton has become. read more

The guy also gave a warranty for weeks says that if the camera stops working he will put the service towards the new camera cost. I will definitely recommend it. read more

Very dissatisfied with their costumer service. After two weeks I had called about my computer status. It didn't really bother me that no one contacted me in over two weeks but when two techs disputed that they did call and also sent an email, that was an issue. They asked, "Did you get our emails?" No because no emails where ever sent and I assured them no one ever called. Seriously, don't dispute with a customer, especially when you're wrong. I had my computer dropped off in a box, with my charger and all my personal info attached. I gave every detail over the phone when asked about computer issues. Upon picking it up, I was handed back my computer with a sticker on it that has my name. No receipt, no charger. And now if I want my charger I have to drive an hour back to the store or pay the shipping according to the supervisor. Just deal with Apple if you can. read more

Brought in my son's iPad Mini and my wife's iPhone 6, and my nephew brought in his iPhone 6 - all 3 with cracked screens. The iPad came back a week later working fine. The 2 iPhones took 2 weeks, and each came back not working at all. My wife's phone would turn off and reboot every time you tried to unlock it. My nephew's developed a nice black bar covering about 1/3 of the screen. My nephew brought them both back in, and they blew him off. I'm going down there today with my wife's phone. It worked perfectly when we brought it in, it would just cut your finger when you swiped on the screen. They can't say it wasn't their fault - they changed the screen and now it won't work. I've had my first and last experience with this business. I went to the Binghamton location on December 20 and paid $43.19 upfront for a repair / replacement to the charging port on my Lenovo laptop. They said they would let me know when the part came in and I could bring the laptop back to be repaired. (I needed it for work.) On January 9 they still hadn't called me so I called them and the young man I spoke to was very confused until I reminded him he was going to order a part for my pre-paid repair. He put me on hold and then came back to tell me the part wasn't in yet and said he would call me when it came in. The part miraculously came in the very next day. I was told to take my computer to the Vestal location, which I did, but after keeping it overnight they called and said they can't fix it after all because my "Logic board" test failed. (Logic Board is a Macintosh term for what everyone else calls a Motherboard but their staff really liked the word so I let it go even though they weren't working with a Mac.) Their expert advice upon returning my un-repaired laptop was to "push the charging cord in as far as it would go and then don't move it until it charges". This was my initial PROBLEM, not a solution at all. I found both locations to be unorganized, unprofessional and unhelpful. read more

PLEASE READ BEFORE YOU DO BUSINESS WITH 607!!!!! I have been happy with 607 for about 2 years now and I always bought my computer and iPhone repairs until today! I called yesterday to determine if my iphone7 could be fixed and the young kid on the other end of the phone asked me to bring it in which I did. I was told that a screen repair was needed, I was hesitant to get the iPhone repaired for a $129.00 but I finally said "ok" to the repair. I was told at that time that the battery was fine and the young kid who inspected my phone at the time so I assumed he knew what he was talking about. I was asked to leave my name, phone number and passcode as another customer walked in which the kid did not wait on the customer that walked in, he just walked w\away from the counter into the back room. I never received a phone call so I called 607 the next day to see if my phone was fixed. A girl answered the phone and stated that my iPhone did not need a screen repair that it needed a battery. I asked the girl what the charge would be from the day before and she said nothing. I said that in that case to go ahead and fixed the batter for $75.00. She called back within a half hour and said that my phone was like new. I went to pick up my iPhone and that kid from the day before. The kid stated that I added the batter onto the screen repair. I stated that I called earlier and the girl who answered stated that he did not perform a screen repair and the kid interrupted me stating that he did. I shook my head upset. He started to explain about the day before about how he showed me. I explained to him that I did not know anything about phone repair cause if I did, I would do it myself. I tried to explain to him the conversation earlier with the girl and he kept interrupting me and would not let me peak as he kept interrupting. The kid called the girl that I spoke to earlier telling her that I said he was a bad person and how I was confused and so on. The girl (Mariah) said that she made a mistake earlier, well to me that is unacceptable. You find out the facts before you tell a customer the wrong information as I tried to explain that I had them fixed my battery based on the information that the screen repair was not needed! Mariah told the kid to put on my old surface and battery! I tried to explain to the kid that I never said he was a bad person, I said that he had bad customer service skills! BIG difference! I guess I was kind of yelling at the kid as everytime I tried to say something, he would interrupt me talking about the day before! The kid said that he was recording the whole thing and that he would put the recording of my getting upset on facebook so that people would know that he was right!! I told him I dare you to put this on facebook! I also let them know that I would be telling everyone I knew about this incident and how unprofessional 607 is and I would no longer be bringing ANY of my repairs to them again! I have been using 607 for about 2 years now and now it will take 607 5 brand new clients to make up for the revenue lost from me! NEVER AGAIN and BEWARE of this company!!!!! read more

Absolutely ask for Brian (Bryan(?)). I went in to fix my iPhone 5SE because it was no longer recognizing my finger, i couldn't maneuver the screen, and my camera wasn't working. For $85, or $75 if you like them on Facebook, he fixed my entire phone extremely professionally and in 15 minutes in front of me so I could see what he was doing. He tested it in front of me when it was done to check and make sure it was worth it. He then very helpfully went through any possible problems that could flare up and how to deal with them. I had a noisy 2011 Macbook Air and, well, the "authorized Apple service" in the area is very lacking. I was looking for another answer. Within half an hour, I had called 607 Tech Solutions, driven over, had the problem diagnosed, got a replacement back panel for my laptop installed, and drove away a happy camper. I am extremely upset and infuriated with this service. I recently dropped off my Galaxy S4 to be repaired. The process seemed easy enough and was done within an hour. I needed the LCD screen fixed as I had dropped it and it cracked. He told me he would fix the screen and for an extra 15 dollars fix the frame surrounding it. I said I really didn't have the money as I am a college student to replace the frame, and asked if it was really necessary and the guy told me it was just cosmetic and would look nicer. I opted out of the frame. 4 days later I put the phone in my right pocket before class, took it out after class and there were several cracks throughout the screen and the LCD doesn't work. Tech Solutions tells me there is nothing they will do, as it is "obviously" physical trauma to the phone, and after I became rather distraught and upset, they simply laughed it off and continued to say that there was nothing they could/would do. Apparently their repairs cannot withstand sitting in your pocket. Sprint told me that the problem was most likely the part of the frame that was missing, the screen was just being supported by glue. That the screen was more susceptible to pressure, as it sinks in when pressure is applied to that part of the screen. So the frame I was informed was merely cosmetic, was actually very necessary and is the reason I handed Tech Solutions $160.00 only to have to move ahead with buying a new phone anyway. I'm sure when the repair goes smoothly, that this is a great place for phone repairs, but pray nothing goes wrong, cause they will do nothing to rectify their mistakes other than laugh in your face as you walk out of the building angry, upset, and 160 dollars poorer. read more

They saved my Butt. I used my 95 year old mother's computer ( I was told to keep hands off). A nasty Virus found it way to it and did awful things. I went, they knew what had happened and reassured me that they will check everything out. As good as their word they had the computer working like it was when I brought for her majesty. I had always relied on Norton but without charge they added additional virus and Malware protection. This outstanding family owned and run business is such a credit to the computer repair business. On 11-27-2017 I took my iPhone 7 plus with a cracked screen, but still functioning correctly, to 607 Tech Solutions to have the display replaced. I was referred to them by Verizon because I had to travel and did not have time for an exchange phone. They replaced the broken screen in about an hour. They were very professional and I was pleased with the service, as I was pressed for time and had to fly out that afternoon. After about 1 1/2 weeks of use the touch screen began to start malfunctioning and as soon as I was back in town, approx. December 15th I took the iPhone 7 plus back and explained the problem. The agreed to replace the screen, and did so in a few hours. I pick up the phone and it seemed fine again for about 1 1/2 weeks and the touch screen began to malfunction again intermittently, but I was away from the area and had to live with it until my travels took me near a Apple store where I could get it checked out. After they ran test on the iPhone 7 plus right in front of me, and found that it was a defective display, and said they could replace it, but I declined. When I returned to the area, I went to 607 Tech Solutions to ask for a refund. They offered to fix it again, but after having two defective displays installed already and two trips back to their shop to have this corrected, I declined and ask for a refund. They said the only way they would give me a refund was to take the current defective screen off the phone and put a broken one on it and give it back to me. They said they needed to return the defective one to the company so they got it from for credit. (That is two defective screens I received, plus the time I lost dealing with the defective screen issue, not to mention the frustration of a display that didn't work half the time) I did not feel that this was a fair resolution and I sure didn't want someone broken screen on my iPhone 7 plus, not knowing if it would function and going through the hassle of getting the screen replaced again, so I secured a new iPhone from Verizon. I tried to ask for a 50% credit and they still did not budge. read more
