Long story short I bricked my power supply and needed to get it replaced. I paid for them to order…read morea new psu and install it into my system, which they did seemingly flawlessly. However when I went today to pick up my system it did not come with the extra cables that came with the brand new power supply I paid for as well as the power cable. I was more focused on finally getting my working pc home and forgot to ask at the shop. So I called a few hours later to be told they threw away all the extra cables. Guess the power cable isn't need huh? This is grossly negligent. I don't see how a repair shop would just throw away perfectly fine cables, especially when they belong to a customer. This review would have been 5 stars, actually, I don't use yelp so this review would have never existed if this shop just didn't "throw away" my cables. Edit (IMPORTANT): I'm going to leave my original review mostly unedited because I feel like I should. I got a call today saying they found the box with my extra cables including the kettle cable that powers my psu. I went and picked it up and had no problems. To clarify, the repair job itself seems to have gone perfectly. It was being told that my cables were thrown away before I had even come to pick up my pc that irked me. I think communication could be improved, such as asking the customer if they would like to keep extra cables and accessories or not. And at the very least you should be giving customers who buy a psu for repair, their kettle cables so their system can actually power on.

They said to bring it in because of work they couldn't come in later in the week where they said do nothing about the glass because it was dropped, even though I asked for a drop proof case they gave me some cheap case that did nothing. I ended up debating on getting a new phone so I left came back a almost 3 weeks later because my screen was completely They told me they didn't replace the battery that they just cleaned up the wires last time that the battery might need to be replaced this time with the lady said I paid for a said no you didn't. All we did was clean it. I agreed with it gave phone. They fixed the front glass came back and the guy was like yeah we had to replace your battery too and I was like well can I see my second because I can't find the receipt for it after 40 minutes of arguing with me back-and-forth about my battery not being replaced found out that I was charged for a new battery but never received received it so inconveniently me one as a courtesy. If I would've never asked about the battery, how would I have ever known that they even replaced it but charged me for it I find this completely shady and unprofessional after two different employees argue with me and said that I did not have my battery replaced, but I was lying that I was charged for another battery until they finally pulled up the receipt and prove that I was charged, but apparently never received it. Going to get my glass fixed again have a $200 bill forgot my wallet paid for half of it I would come back with the rest. I have gone to the battery world in vestal 3 times to get a battery and all times left satisfied and trusted I got good service, but NOT this time and I am disappointed in the service, disappointed in the response from the owner.  I brought my truck in for abattery replacement and 3 weeks later my truck was not starting up right with the NEW battery. I checked under the hood to find out the issue was they replaced my original battery set-up parts with a different side post terminal that was too short, wrong size and left the cable nut barely holding the cable on-to the battery. Any good experienced auto service technician would have known this seen this and correctly fix it and would have known leaving it the my cable mount this way would not work well in a moving vehicle later and in time. I really dislike when any auto shop like battery world would leave doing a bad job like this and choking-it-up to the customer will never know what we did. this is the fact of what it is.  I called and brought this matter to the manager's attention. He remembered me coming in to purchase a battery, remembers the installation and blaming ware and tear and NOT the real issue of a incorect part was used in place megshift the job. His reply has left me NOT convincing. It Cost me 10 bucks to get the RIGHT part at the auto store, something they could have gone to get and to do a good job from the start. This has to be the most incompetent business in Vestal NY. I have a registered LLC as a Film Studio and am a Film maker right here in Binghamton. 2 years ago I had 2 Camcorders that are 4K Ultra. Unfortunately they only came with 2 batteries and no charger. I decided to go to Battery World to to buy 2 backup batteries and a Recharger. The Clerk took my information and placed my order. It took nearly a month (3.5 weeks) to get a call saying my order arrived. I went back to the store, paid for my 2 extra batteries and Recharger and left. About 2 years later last week I went into Battery world to see if they still had my order on file because I wanted to buy additional batteries for the same cameras, as I misplaced them. As I was walking into the store a Customer was cursing out what looked like the Store Manager and the customer was furious. I walked pass them straight to the Clerk and this was about the dumbest idiot I ever met in my life. I told him the situation and I was quite professional about it, more than the customer cursing out the Manager. The Clerk then asked for my name which I provided. He then told me that he has the charger that I ordered on file but no recollection of the batteries that his store ordered for me? And to be honest he looked like a frustrated drug addict waiting for me to leave so he can take his medicine. He looked special. I asked him to check his system again and he got frustrated like it was calculus equations or something. I left the store with a business card. I then called the store later that week and asked to speak to the Manager, Mike Slavic, another dumbass. This dude is about as bright as a box of blown lightbulbs. Mike Slavic is about as helpful as a Blind Bank teller. Mike Slavik takes my last name and pulls up my file from 2 years ago. I explain the situation and he also finds the Battery recharger, but again, does not seem to find the battery # anywhere in his system that his store found and ordered. He then tells me the dumbest sh*t I ever heard in my life. He tells me that each Battery recharger is NOT UNIVERSAL and the battery charger is only for that specific battery. I repeat the same thing that he said to me back to him and then asked him to find the battery for that specific charger that they have on file? DUH! Mike then flat out tells me that if I don't have the battery, then there's nothing that he can do! So in other words he said " I love my paycheck but I hate working for it. So don't expect me to do anything that even remotely looks like work, because you're SOL (sh*t out of luck). DON'T EVER GO TO THIS PLACE, EVER. THEY ARE SUPER IDIOTS.

Within 3 days it arrived and after about 20 minutes I had a basically brand new laptop for far less than I ever would have dreamed. With his practical mechanical knowledge and virtual knowledge , in any century but our own he might be regarded as a wizard. Any problems I ever have again I am confident he can fix. Plus he is an intelligent, no bs person to talk with. More stars if I could.

I called Tyler following referral to other computer repair services. These other vendors promised either exorbitant fees for their work while taking possession of my computer for an unspecified period of time and/or required their travel to my home for laptop repair, as they had no local facility from which to operate. Ty welcomed me into his home office and immediately and efficiently analyzed my laptop's issues, installing some applications to assist in my current and future computer use and further correspondence with him. In the process, he communicated his observations and educated me in the work he was performing. All of this was accomplished in a kind, respectful, professional, and patient manner of carefully handling and correcting the issues I needed resolved for a much more cost- effective price than I had received from any competitor. Towards the end of our discussion, Ty indicated that a function he provided was in working with a local church to provide refurbished computers to individuals benefitting from these services; the computers utilized were achieved through his practice of working on computers that were no longer able to fulfill their customers' needs. To that end, I brought an additional laptop computer that I had at home to Ty's attention in an ensuing visit. The laptop was one I had purchased new approximately a year prior, only proving operational for a 6-month period of time. I sent it to the manufacturer for warranty repair, to be informed that I had purportedly poured water into my computer, and therefore, would not receive warrantied repair of the laptop before its return to me. Tyler was able to assess that the screen was damaged, with the computer in working order, and provided me with low-cost options to make the machine fully functioning again. I also had older laptops that were no longer supported, due to age and condition. For these computers, Ty removed the hard drive of each, backing them up to a functioning computer, and providing me with all hard drives to allay any privacy concerns of others' access to my personal information. The computers then became components of his church computer refurbishment program. I am profoundly grateful that I was able to connect with Ty in this process. His attitude throughout has been generous, productive, professional, and efficient. He has been accessible for follow-up questions and input and has been a wonderful example of local business still based upon exemplary customer service principles!
