Came here with three friends and had an absolute blast doing the Case '93 escape room! The difficulty level felt just right: challenging enough to require plenty of teamwork, but never frustrating or impossibly hard. We ended up using three hints near the end as the clock was winding down and managed to escape with just one minute to spare, which made it even more exciting. The theme was also perfectly executed. It had just the right amount of creepiness to keep us on edge and occasionally make us jump, but it wasn't too scary either. We loved how immersive it felt! Special shoutout to Shanon for being an amazing game master! He was friendly, engaging, and helped make the entire experience memorable. We have done multiple escape rooms here and they're all very fun, but yesterday we did Houdini... If yall like escape rooms as much as I do, you absolutely HAVE TO GO DO THIS ROOM!!!!!!!!!!!! This has to be the coolest escape room I have ever done, even surpassing One Way Ticket at MazeRooms which has been my fave for YEARS. (And our game master was funny as fuck, shoutout Megan) We did it with 3 people and got out with 24 mins to spare, I'd def say 3 people minimum is actually necessary here to get the full experience. 100000/10, absolutely love. 60out Escape Rooms has five different locations around the Los Angeles area. This location is in Silver Lake, near the intersection of the 101 and 110 freeways off Temple Street. The building has a small parking lot behind a gated entrance in front, but it is for employee parking only. You'll have to find street parking off Temple or in the nearby neighborhoods. Walk through the front gate and ring the doorbell to be let in. We did the Amityville room here last year and had a good time, so we returned and decided to try their Case 93 room. The theme is your group was kidnapped by a serial killer and you have an hour to escape before he returns. The front half of a van sticks out of the wall in the lobby and is part of the Case 93 room. We were greeted by Allison who walked us down the hallway and got us started. The room has a split start, with players initially separated, but only very briefly after solving an easy puzzle. The room feels big, has quite a few different areas, and is very immersive. It is a pretty physically active room, with lots of going back and forth between the different areas. Some crawling is also required in a few places. There is a good variety of mechanical puzzles, a few combo and key locks, a cryptex lock, and various mental challenges. There was one mechanical puzzle that didn't work right, but our game master was able to quickly trigger it remotely. Hints are given verbally and are requested by waving at one of the cameras. This was a really fun room that flowed well. I would say the difficulty level is between medium to hard. We escaped with a little over five minutes remaining. Our game master Shannon was great and was very helpful when we needed a little nudge. For only two people, the cost is $60 per person. The cost drops to $43 per person for three or more people. Be sure to check their website before booking, as they often have discount codes posted. I was able to save $20 on our booking using a code on their website. They also offer a $10 discount if you book seven or more days in advance. We'll come back to try more rooms at this location when we're in the area. read more

Nice staff and there's some street parking. The signage isn't very obvious but it's the building that is quite colorfully painted on the outside. Next to Echo Park too. We did Hyde Circus and it was pretty tricky at first but was easier once you clear the first stage. It wasn't a scary circus escape room but more like an old abandoned circus vibe. We had unlimited hints which was very helpful because some of the puzzles was a little hard. Very conveniently placed where it was 10 minutes from Little Tokyo and Downtown LA. read more

I haven't been to an escape room before coming to 60 Out. I did enjoy the 2 rooms my family and I played. The carnival one and the escape artist one. They were fun and engaging. Some of the games could use some refreshing. The escape artist one had some critical symbols on a rotating ball and the puzzle was unnecessarily difficult because the symbols on it were so faded that you couldn't even see they were there. Game masters were helpful in both the games I played, definitely tip them after. Overall, 60 Out is a fun and enjoyable bonding experience. Parking is tiny, about 3 cars would fit. Otherwise you're parking on the street. Regardless, would do again. read more

I came here with my husband and his parents who in town to visit for a bit of family bonding. The Houdini and Case 93 rooms were so atmospheric and so fun! I even yelped out loud at one point during the Houdini room! Shanon and Allison who were working there were absolutely fantastic--knowledgeable, friendly, helpful, and accommodating. We just had soooo much fun! We've been to at least 30+ escape rooms. Anytime we travel we do one. This time, we're in our own area. We were on our way to a kings game, had time to kill, so we booked. We did Case 93. You walk into the place and see this van coming through a wall. That was our room. This was one of the best engineered rooms we've been in. Attention to detail and theatrics was super cool. Our game master Allison was incredible from the second we walked in, making our experience even better. You have to do this room!!!!! DISCLAIMER: For the Houdini room, my boyfriend and I personally thought that this room was SPOOKY because of how dark it is and because of certain audio noises. As somebody who gets scared pretty easily, I got spooked somewhat often and don't consider this a "not scary" escape room. Other than that, I absolutely LOVED this escape room! The Houdini theme was definitely on POINT with the props and puzzles in this escape room. It's a somewhat challenging room for two people, but luckily we were able to escape with 1 hint (we're very stubborn with accepting hints & try not to unless we absolutely need it ) and 9 minutes to spare! All of the puzzles flowed pretty well and it was a lot of fun! I highly recommend trying this specific escape room out and I heard Houdini was the highest rated escape room from 60Out! read more

First and foremost , I love doing escape rooms and this one was pretty funny with bunch of puzzles. My group did the circus heist and that one was pretty good. Made you feel like a detective and figuring out all the puzzles and where everything goes were very fun . Our game master Allison was amazing! That escape room had a bit of a creepy spooky feel but it wasn't super scary and I don't like scary stuff like that . If you plan on trying this location just be prepared to find parking on the street for they have very limited parking on their lot . But I'll be back again to try more of their games read more

Our game master was Allison for this time around and she was great. She was very patient with us while we took a while to arrive. She got us informed about what our room will be about and how to get started. We went with the Wicked Witch escape room for this visit. Now for the room itself, I have a few notes. First, during the introduction, I feel it could be more immersive if the game master were to explain the background through the intercom rather than in the room with us because a casually dressed person feels out of place and it doesn't have that godly tone to it in person as it would if you can't see the person. Second, this escape room slightly disappointed me in that the puzzles really require you to be very random for some pieces. I get it, it's meant to be a difficult escape room, but some of them are very far out there and you really gotta be in the mind of the person who designed it to get the puzzles. Third, the room isn't really good for large groups as the puzzles are all connected as one linear line. You can't get to the next part without completing the previous. And due to the small room, it's hard to check together sometimes. There were 5 of us struggling to read one thing together and not enough room. I would've preferred a room where there's 3-6 linear puzzles that can be worked on simultaneously and eventually leading to one large puzzle at the end if that makes sense. Our game master 5/5. The room itself? 3/5 to me but the theming of each game they have are very interesting. I wanna give it another try to see if they have only singular linear puzzles read more

Houdini is hands down the best escape room that I've done! My apologies on remembering the name of our game host but she was amazing. We came on 10/26 at 1:30 with Salsa, our game host had warm welcoming energy throughout the whole experience. You must find street parking. My recommendation to be safe is to carpool. Parking could be tricky but manageable. Overall a great experience and definitely plan to come back and experience the other rooms they have available. 60 Out in Filipino Town is a great escape room spot. I called ahead for a late booking at 11:30 PM, and even though we showed up at 11:40 PM (close to their midnight closing), they were super accommodating and let us play. We did the Witch's room as a group of five and had a blast solving it in 35 minutes. Fun experience and excellent customer service, definitely worth checking out. read more
