waiting area where they sell comics
    Angela H.

This was a great experience for my first escape room! I definitely realized I would never be able to actually survive if there was a mystery because we would not have made it without those hints. The service was amazing. We set up an appointment online and there were late policies but we came in a little late and had to wait for other but they were very understanding. There is a 15 min grace period after we came in and after that we could start without our group or wait and get some time off. We were able to start and there was more then enough time for us to solve the mystery. There was a little seating/waiting area where they also sold comic books and they had street parking. We did the zombie one and Kai was an amazing host and then suddenly also the zombie . The hints were a life saver and honestly scary because they would knock so loud but I definitely would recommend.

Amazing experience! if you haven't done a horror escape yet you must add it to your list. Kai and Anatole were absolutely awesome hosts. We will definitely be back. Our group of five teenage girls screamed their heads off.

We had a great time doing this escape room! We did the zombie lab and it's a span of 50 minutes. Getting there did seem odd because it didn't seem like there was anything on that street but once we walked in it was a different environment. Overall it was a great first impression and they were very welcoming and overall helpful! Keep in mind they don't have restrooms but there is a place down the street which isn't bad. I would definitely recommend for a fun night!

Worst room ever. No AC. It was suffocating. All the stuff was broken. The host was extremely rude. Please dont go there. The reviews might be good because apparently they were doing good. But now this is a disaster. Rude staff. Broken pieces and no AC makes it horrible. Please save your money!!

We had a great time with Salem and Kai as our hosts. We did the doctor office escape room. We will be back again!

Customer Service 10/5 Rachel and Mary was so helpful and such a pleasure to have. Rachel our actor definitely added the spook and make our experience 10/10. Rachel our game master was amazing and helpful with our hints. There were only 3 so use carefully guys. Room - Zombie difficulty 3/5 This is a Generation 1 escape room so a lot of the activities and locks are mechanical locks . With one padlock. Not as cool and techy as the others that I've done but the puzzle make sense and quite easy to figure out if you like connecting the dot. Parking- we went on a Saturday night at 9 PM and there was no parking so plan ahead.

Ask the Community - Horror Escapes LA

Do you need an id in order to prove you are 18? If so, What are my options if I don't have one?

The person using a credit card has to show a valid ID. There are no other options.

Do they change the escape rooms after a while or is it exactly the same?

We are opening a new room in 2 weeks!

    Do they sell alcohol?

No they do not. Also, they do not allow alcohol and if you show up with any signs of intoxication, they will ask you to leave.

Is this experience good for a date night? Or better for a group of people?

If you want a challenge then you can do a date night but I find it's good to double date or just have a small group of 4-6 people because every extra voice/idea can throw you off when trying to escape. Hope this helps!

Is it a private game or are you grouped with random people? And is there free parking?

You have the option - through the website you can select individual tickets to be groupies with other players, or you can choose to select a Private Room at a discounted rate

Whty the promote code can't put in?

Please email our booking office to assist with booking if you are having any trouble: info@horrorescapesla.com

Where would parking be located at this place?

Parking is located behind the storefront in the back alley

If we wanted to apply the discount could we still do it even after we purchased the tickets?

We ask for 72 hours notice for any reschedules or refunds.

Do people do two or 3 rooms in one day? It is our first time at an escape room ever and I was thinking of doing the Captive then the Zombie like 6:20 and 7:40, is that possible? Do people do that?

I'm sure you can but you might be mentally exhausted! I've done chapter 1 and 2 on separate days and it was so fun!!!! Would highly recommend chapter 2

To add to this, we needed to be buzzed in so we could enter the premise. Once we were inside, the ambiance changed completely and there were a couple of IG worthy spots to take pictures while checking in. We opted for the spinning art experience since my daughter is too young to partake in the more elaborate ones. Originally, we booked for 4 people but one person got sick so we asked if we could transfer the funds for that person for another experience since there are no refunds. Luckily, was able to contact them the day before and added the bunny paint pour over experience. Ozzie was our guide and he was super kind and gentle with my daughter. We were instructed to pick 5 colors and then we donned our plastic bootie covers, apron and gloves. We entered our designated art room and was blown away by all the colors on the wall. There was even a tire swing which my daughter was all about. The spinning art experience was a lot of fun and I enjoyed seeing my daughter embrace the paint. I think her favorite part was when she had free rein to paint all over the walls. Overall, we had a great time. Only down side is that it does go by super quick and is quite an expensive experience for one hour. However, we get to have a treasured memento which is ready for pick up about 5 days afterwards and we did have a great time. That being said, #noragrats!

She shared interesting stories about the neighborhood and the restaurants, which made it feel more like exploring the area with a knowledgeable friend rather than a typical tour. The food was delicious and plentiful, and we even met some really nice new friends along the way. Our very first Six Taste tour was actually the Arts District tour back in 2016, so it was special to return ten years later and experience it again. Over the years we've also enjoyed their tours in Downtown Los Angeles, Hollywood, Santa Monica, Thai Town, Koreatown, and Little Tokyo. Every tour has been a fun way to discover great food and learn more about the neighborhoods of Los Angeles. Highly recommend!

Six Taste Food Tours is a family-owned, LA-born-and-raised business, and you can feel the love, pride, and intention in every part of the tour. We did the Little Tokyo food tour and it was incredible from start to finish. Sally, the owner and our guide, is an absolute force. She is warm, knowledgeable, fun, and has the best energy. She doesn't just show you where to eat, she teaches you the history, culture, and stories behind the neighborhood while making sure everyone feels welcomed and taken care of. And the FOOD. Wow. You will not leave hungry. Sally feeds you like family and thoughtfully curates each stop so you're getting a true taste of the neighborhood, not tourist filler. Every bite was delicious and meaningful. This is not just a food tour, it's an experience. You're learning, laughing, vibing, and eating extremely well. If you live in LA or are visiting, this is a must. They offer tours in so many different neighborhoods, and after this one, I want to do them all. Do yourself a favor and book it. When we asked for an accommodation, the security guard was rude and told us that if my son wanted water, he could walk all the way to the entrance every time, despite the distance from the bowling area. Hoping to resolve the issue, I spoke with the manager, Luis Gonzalez, but unfortunately he was just as dismissive and uninformed about autism and disabilities. Rather than listening and showing compassion, he was rude and unwilling to understand my son's needs. Businesses that serve families should make an effort to educate their staff about disabilities and neurodiversity. With autism becoming more widely recognized, basic awareness, empathy, and reasonable accommodations should not be too much to ask. This experience left us feeling unwelcome and unsupported. I will also be reaching out to upper management, including Cynthia Torres, to make her aware of this situation and to see whether changes can be made. As an autism mom, it is my responsibility to advocate not only for my son but for other individuals with autism and disabilities as well. No family should have to experience being dismissed or treated without understanding when simply requesting reasonable accommodations. My hope is that this feedback leads to better education, awareness, and compassion from staff so that all guests feel welcomed and respected.
