It was a beautiful day so we took the top off the Jeep put the dog in the back and my wife and I took a trip to Pargon Indiana. We heard about boars nest tenderloins decided we would try one. The place was really cute inside kind of like a log cabin if you will, but we sat outside in a pretty large patio that was under shade. The service was fantastic. I can't say enough so we split the breaded pork tenderloin they cut it for us. They gave my wife a bun and condiments and myself a bun. It was really good for $15. You can't beat it. I could only eat half of the half, and my wife only ate her half of her half I must add the french fries were hot and delicious and oh by the way our dog enjoyed it also. there were a couple other folks sitting outside who were very friendly. I can say this is a very fun friendly place to eat and have a beer. The burgers looked fantastic. We have to save that for another time. I would highly recommend this little hidden gem in paragon Indiana.

I've heard so many great things about their Tenderloin that I had to stop and try it out, let me tell you it did not disappoint!! The Boars Nest is an all ages establishment, with a family side and a separate over 21 only bar side. They host live music and karaoke on the weekends. The beer is cold, the people are friendly and the service is great!! The food is very good and flavorful as well! I've had the breaded pork tenderloin and a secret cheesesteak that's not on the menu and you have to ask for it, both items are very good and enough for 2 meals!

Hwy 67 Boars Nest, Paragon IN Breaded Pork Tenderloin was hot, crispy, tender, and at least 1/2 inch thick. Delicate seasoning complimented the flavor of the pork. Flavorful bun. Fresh veggies. Comes with fries. The spicy cheese curds were mighty fine, too. Wicked good cheese pull. Good service. Clean place.

We drove 45 minutes to the 67 Boar's Nest in Paragon, Indiana today due to seeing a lot of recent posts about it online. They have a good breaded pork tenderloin- not great, but good. It was a little bit greasy (some grease dripping on the plate), and some of the breading was falling off. The flavor was ok. It was definitely a big sandwich, with the tenderloin being much bigger than the large bun. The fries were very salty and left me feeling thirsty for the rest of the afternoon. Their iced tea was good and strong. It's not a bad tenderloin, but I wouldn't drive 45 minutes for it again. It's good, but not great. The place it pretty boring inside- no pictures on the wall or anything interesting to look at. It took about 30 minutes for our food to arrive at the table. The waitress was really nice and attentive.

    Tenderloin with onion rings

Stopped by to try out the tenderloin that I've heard good things about. The tenderloin was delicious, but the star of the day was the onion rings. The rings were the best that my hubs and I had ever had. We'll be back.

We went in and there were too many people in there so the waitress service was really quick. I ordered a brisket sandwich and my friend ordered a baked potato that was loaded. They had a beer and wine so I ordered a glass of wine and my friend ordered a beer. My sandwich came and it was huge and very very sloppy in a good way! With my sandwich I had a side of baked beans. The sandwich was fantastic and the baked beans were okay. My friend liked her spud as well and it was also huge. It was a pub with an outside patio and I hear they also do music some of the time on the patio but we were there midday and there was no music at that time. We will definitely try this pub again and try something else on the menu next time.

Ordered wings with "Buffalo Sauce" and 5 of 6 wings had zero sauce, it looks like they used a squirt bottle and dashed a bit on the side of the plate. Buffalo chicken wrap was half the size of normal, we typically take half of it home because my girlfriend can't complete both halves and now it fits in the palm of your hand. All new staff, we recognize no one, and they are just in a rough spot from what is normal. Disappointing.

However, on a recent trip back to visit my parents' grave, I finally got the chance to stop in and check it out for a bit. Central Normal Tap is basically a laid-back, charming pub and grill with solid dining options, craft beer, spirits, and a terrifically friendly vibe. I'm not sure if terrifically is really a word, but I'm sticking with it. Located on the east side of the Danville Town Square, this is a great place to hit if you're doing some visiting of the town square (and you should). It's not an all-day joint. It's really from evening into the night hours. The town square offers free parking (with accessible option). While there are stores on the square that are not accessible, Central Normal Tap is pretty darn good (some of the tables are a bit high and there are a handful of booths that have a step up). Dining options include pretzels, wings, flatbreads, and more. I didn't spend a whole lot of time here, but I enjoyed the time I spent. The vibe was a nice tapestry of smaller town charm with a modern energy. The food was tasty, and the service was absolutely top-notch. I would easily return, though I might avoid when it's super busy as I could imagine accessibility being a bit more challenging just due to the layout. For those who wonder (I love origin stories), the name comes from Central Normal College, a former college that moved from Ladoga, Indiana to Danville, Indiana in the 19th century and lasted until just after World War II. It's a part of Danville/Hendricks County history (you can learn more about it at the Hendricks County Museum).

I had the breakfast platter with a bowl of gravy on the side and ended up ordering extra biscuits - worth every carb! Room for groups of 4-10. They opened in May of 2022 and I just now saw it even though there are a couple of tables on the sidewalk. I ordered the Turkey Club on the Croissant because it was a hot sandwich. The sandwich consisted of thin sliced turkey, crisp bacon, Swiss cheese, honey mustard, mayo, lettuce and tomato served on a flaky croissant. It was a very good sandwich except there was too much mayo for me. It was dripping off and making for a messy eating. No worries, I will hold the mayo next time. The sandwich came with "house" chips which were plain kettle potato chips. Now for the truly great find, desserts. Their desserts are not listed on the menu and some are by the pay counter, some in a little refrigerator and some in a "jewelry" case. I ordered the Chocolate Caramel Hole Cake out of the refrigerator. A "hole" cake has holes in it with, in this case, caramel poured into the holes. Absolutely the bomb! PLUS, I was served two pieces because the server thought the portions were small and got the bosses' permission to serve me two. Many thanks!
