I don't understand why they advertise themselves as Texas-style BBQ and then put coleslaw on the brisket sandwich; that's a Kansas City thing as no one in Texas puts coleslaw on their beef. I've now been here three times and loved LOVED the food each time. Service is friendly and fast as well. Whatever Bundt cake they are offering, GET IT. Green beans - for the love of all that is holy, order them. The meats? Great, but I swear the green beans and Bundt cakes are better. I could make just those my meal. My only wish is that they move away from Styrofoam and plasticware. We were excited to try something new but walked away disappointed. I tried the pulled chicken platter and it was okay. Lots of fatty spots and the sauce had SO much pepper that it kind of killed my taste buds. I tried all three sauces but really didn't enjoy any of them. My kids got the ribs and they were pretty dry and fatty. We also tried two apps (pork rolls and corn bites) but they were both pretty underwhelming. The servings are huge, though, so you do get a lot for your money. We just didn't love anything we had. The place itself is super cute and service was great. read more

This was a good lunch overall. My mom and brother had the brisket sandwich. I made my own version of a sides plate. My favorite was the baked beans, they had a good bbq flavor. I also liked the spicy version of the bbq sauce. The yella version was good, just a lot more sweet than spicy. The cornbread did come out with honey (?) drizzled over it already, I would've just preferred that on the side but I didn't know before I ordered. The greens had a great smoky flavor. Big Ern's spicy slaw had a nice kick from the jalapeños. It's a vinegar based slaw. The pulled pork and pulled chicken were both flavorful. What a fun place! We checked this out due to the server getting the best server in North America this year from Yelp...and we are on a barbeque kick. So glad we did! The restaurant is in an unassuming strip but has ample parking and signage so you know you are in the right place (as it is surrounded by residential houses). When you walk in there is a country wood vibe with lots of barbeque plaques and fun posters but not overly done. We got there early and had the pick of tables but the room is rather spacious. They do have daily specials so depending on what you are craving keep an eye on those as they rotate (I think the server said you can check on socials?). We asked a lot of questions and the server is indeed wonderful! She gave us some suggestions as well which helped as you never know if the sauces are spicy or not. They do offer three sauces and are on each table which is nice. It was a very comfy casual vibe. Our friends got the special which had 5 meats and 2 sides. It looked and smelled delicious! We got a meat platter which came with two meats and two sides. I especially enjoyed their green beans as they had a slight spice in them. The cornbread is also very crispy on the outside and soft and chewy on the inside. Yum! And their Mac n cheese was a great treat for me as it was freshly made and felt like a warm hug but not overly gooey. The meat was tender and had a lot of flavor, and the brisket had some good bark (as the barbeque people say). I don't eat my slider with chicken, just not my jam. Hubs didn't complain about his. His ribs had good flavor, but he doesn't prefer when the bone slides right out. Seems like they were baked low and slow which is how I like mine, but when you think bbq to us it's more of a style of cooking not a flavor. Stopped in here on a Saturday around 5 pm. We were seated after about 5 minutes. They were moderately busy and had run out of ribs and pulled chicken. We had been here before and tried the ribs then and they were amazing. This time we decided to get the Landslide Sliders which consisted of 4 different types of sliders (brisket, pulled pork, smoked sausage and pulled chicken). Since they were out of the chicken I replaced it with another brisket one. All of them were very amazing. I received cole slaw on the side and got to choose another. I chose the Whiskey Glazed Carrots. Both sides were excellent as well. My wife chose pulled pork for her meal and chose the same carrots, waffle fries and baked beans for her sides. Her food was all amazing as well. Our waitress was friendly but seemed overworked as I think they were shorthanded but the food still came out less than 10 minutes after ordering. The outside of the building can be a little misleading because the inside is very nice. They must have spent quite a hefty sum on refurbishing. The wood floors, the indoor awnings and the decorations all look great. Some nice music is playing on their speaker system too. Both kinds of beans were really good and we both agreed the green beans were awesome. Very flavorful! I ordered the Half Rack of Ribs and she got the Pulled Chicken. She loved her pulled chicken but I thought the ribs were a tad tough. Both BBQ sauces in the squeeze bottles on the table were spicy; one mild, one spicy. I would have preferred some Honey BBQ. The ribs were dry rubbed but also had a light coat of sauce that was not spicy at all, so I was able to enjoy them. Their fries are the waffle style variety. A small parking lot, with handicapped parking, is located in front of the restaurant on a small incline. The interior is warm and cozy with lots of light wood and oodles of natural lighting, adorable light fixtures, and creative country decor. Seating consists of many 4-top tables and what appears as 3 high-top communal tables located in front of the large windows. My husband's overall comment was, "This would be my favorite BBQ restaurant if they just served beer." He loves a cold draft beer with his BBQ. Pepsi products are served along with lemonade, sweet and unsweetened tea, and coffee. The food is delicious with three amazing sauces to compliment the meats. The meats are tender and full-flavored with a nice selection of sides you would expect from a quality BBQ restaurant. My husband had the tender smoked brisket ($18.50) served with waffle fries and 2 sides (his choice was baked beans). I ordered the 2 Meat Platter ($17.50) with Pulled Pork and Pulled Chicken served with waffle fries and 2 sides. I opted for green beans instead of fries with mixed greens and mac n' cheese. The spongy, sweet jalapeno, mini cornbread loaf was a must try for me, and it did not disappoint. Dessert was an easy decision for me, and I opted for the warm, butter toffee bundt cake ($8). The small bundt cake was moist and scrumptious. It was a perfect ending to a relaxing lunch with my husband. Close to a month ago, Smok'n Crew began serving breakfast daily from 6a.m. to 10a.m. and until noon on Saturdays. Our professional and attentive server, Abby, said breakfast is fairly quiet during the week but extremely busy on Saturdays. The menu offers all the standard breakfast selections of omelets, burritos, biscuits and gravy, corned beef hash, and pancakes with a couple of specialties. The Breakfast Mag 7 platter ($19.50) is meant for someone with an extremely large appetite with 7 breakfast foods. Abby was an efficient, knowledgeable, and attentive individual. She allowed us time to browse the menu, water was refilled, food arrived hot, and quickly and used dishes were removed promptly. She checked on us several times without being annoying. One of them had never been here and she said it was the best barbecue she had ever eaten and I have to agree. we will definitely be going back because the food is delicious.
