Hidden gem for sure. Not your typical menu, seems to be a fusion of sorts. So don't expect…read moretraditional Vietnamese items, it's more creative. Service was fast, friendly and welcoming. The inside was vey inviting and tastefully decorated. We had the Beef Bulgogi Bao, this was really yummy. The bao was soft and delightful. The beef had a sweet bulgogi glaze that worked really well with it. The rest of the toppings added a nice balance without overpowering the meat. My only wish was that it was 4 baos and not two since they are so small. The highlight was the Firecracker Shrimp. Be warned this is not a spicy dish like you might think from the name. The crispy shrimp was crunchy and not soggy at all, it felt pretty clean and not greasy. It came with salad, rice and a spicy soy sauce and it was just so good. With 12 shrimp, it's definitely shareable between 2 people. Lastly we had the Vietnamese iced coffee which was $6. It tasted like Ovaltine and was mostly ice with just a few sips. I wouldn't recommend it unless the cup size is increased or the price is decreased. So overall, it's a bit pricey. The menu was also a little confusing. We checked online prior to coming and they had a lot of stuff but when at the restaurant, there were only a few items listed which caught us off guard. We actually ended up ordering the wrong item (firecracker shrimp when we actually wanted dynamite shrimp, ultimately it worked out cuz it was delicious but the problem still stands). So those are the only cons I can think off. Other than that, The place was fantastic. Did not think Hutto would have a place of this caliber. We will be back to try the rest of the items, it all looked so good. Definitely will be a repeat customer. 4.5 stars rounded up for now.

I'm from San Francisco and travel to New York monthly for work, so I'd consider myself a bit of a foodie, and this place delivered. Austin really needs more Asian street food spots like this. We were honestly shocked to find something this good in Hutto of all places. The staff was also incredibly kind and welcoming to our two toddlers, which made the experience even better. The food came out quickly and everything we tried was delicious. Definitely worth a 5-star.

My family and I have been here a few times and I normally thought this was a scratch kitchen where…read morefood is made to order and fresh. Today's experience changed that. We came during happy hour and sadly the food was beyond sub par. Combo fried rice The peas in the rice were still frozen and unthawed. Our 16 month old daughter couldn't even chew them. The chicken and beef tasted old and sour. Crispy cold rice appetizer - rice was stale. This place appears to be on its last leg. I wouldn't pay happy hour prices for food that doesn't make my mouth or stomach feel nasty.

All you can eat lunch? Yes please! We have been hesitant to…read moretry this place because it looks like no one is every there plus the reviews here on yelp are not stellar. So anytime we eat sushi we pick somewhere else: but this time I said it's so close to the house, screw it let's give it a try. So glad we did!!! When we first walked in we honestly almost left it was 11:30 and we were literally the only table there. The table at the entry was covered in clutter the bar was covered in clutter and being the only ones there we were quite concerned. But I'm glad we stuck it out. We did the all you can eat, they have a toll separate menu for it. I think we tried everything on it! Everything we had, minus the ice cream, was incredible! Our server was fantastic too, she was friendly and always had a smile. It's no Uchi but for a local spot and for the price, we will be back for lunch for sure!

Truly horrendous service and quality. Don't waste your time or money…read more Placed an online order for pickup, which was to take 30 minutes to be ready. Got there right on time, but it seemed they hadn't even started my order yet. As I waited, I was left confused by the interior. The place was completely empty except for one person working the register. All the tables and chairs had been pushed and piled together to one side and there were a bunch of boxes stacked towards the back of the room. The floor was filthy. There were also employees going back-and-forth yelling at one another pretty regularly. I don't know how they would expect anyone to want to dine in with that atmosphere. I finally received my to go order and made the trek home. There I realized there was no rice for our entrees. I called to see if we could get a partial refund due to the error. They argued with me for 5 minutes - not claiming that they gave me rice, but that it shouldn't matter and that I shouldn't get a refund. Then they said they'd have to ask the manager. They set the phone down and had me listening to yelling for a while. No refund, no accountability. On top of this experience, the food was not great. I won't pretend it was terrible, but nothing special and certainly not worth the experience and errors in putting an order together. The lo mein was bland and a bit dry. The lettuce wraps lacked flavor though the lettuce was fresh. The hot and sour soup also wasn't as flavorful as expected and did not have any heat to it. Ribs were decent, but wings dry and overcooked. I am shocked by the response to what seems like a reasonable request. I paid for something I didn't get and felt I should've gotten a partial refund. During the conversation, I asked if they were interested in trying to retain me as a customer and they weren't. That's fine. Plenty of other places in the area to take my business.

Funnily enough, I couldn't really tell which was which! I assumed the orange colored one is the Orange Chicken but the other had that orange peel aroma so who knows. Either way, both were tasty and made with white meat. The soup, egg roll, and fried rice were all fresh and flavorful too. Love that they offer free delivery within a 4 mile radius (order directly from their website, skip the apps). Definitely adding this spot to my regular lunch rotation. Excited to try more dishes soon!

But today I went with the Chef's special "Spaghetti Kee Mao". She was a spicy one, but oh so good! Can't say I ever had a bad dish here. Service has always been solid and friendly. The restaurant is well situated, clean and not overly noisy. This is one restaurant I hope to visit for years to come. Thank you Thai Spoon!!! They also have in house ice cream (mango, coconut and Thai tea). We tried coconut and mango which were superb. We will try the Thai tea next. Also able to order to go incase you are full as servings are quite large. We did make a reservation to accommodate an elderly in-law. They kept us a booth open despite us running a tad behind and some other customers try to take it. Very grateful!!
