I really appreciate that this is one of the few Hutto food trucks that have really stuck it out and are regularly open at convenient times and on their posted hours. The seasonings are the star of the show here, and on the seafood plates you can choose your spice level. The seafood is perfectly cooked, never dried out or rubbery. We ordered the Petite shrimp plate with the Cajun lemon pepper, which was amazing. We also got the fish and fries fried plate and the New Orleans Po' Boys sandwich.They are usually part of the Hutto food truck park, but are now parked off Main Street and you can see them off 79. They still have plenty of seating in this location that they currently share with Happy Panini and cute twinkle lights. They're fast and efficient with getting you your items and I have had friendly service the 2 times I've ordered from them. Portion size is really good for the flavor, quality of the cook and price you're paying. I did see a worker take a break to smoke which concerned me at first, but when receiving my food noticed they had gloves on. Yesterday I was searching for some fish close to where I live and this place came up. They were getting close to closing so i rushed over there and im so glad that i did. I ordered the combo number 13 . The combo comes with two catfish fillets and shrimp with fries. It was enough on that plate to eat for two days. The food was delicious. Lots of flavor. The only thing is next time I'm going to ask to get my fish fried hard. The outside area where you wait is nice . There is plenty of space to enough your food there or take it home. This was incredibly good. I got the Petite Shrimp with a potato and sausages, and then seasoned with the lemon pepper Cajun seasoning. First off, that seasoning is amazing and tastes great on everything, I was dipping the sausages in it by the end to get more of it. The potato was good of course. The shrimp was really great though, it wasn't soggy or mushy like some other places I've had around here, and really took to the flavors well. They were super friendly when I tried to figure out what I wanted, and even more so when they apologized for the wait due to all of their phone/online orders, as well as having to make fresh sausages (yum!). I didn't stay and eat on site due to needing to be other places, but there were a number of people eating their food under the umbrellas. The folks that work here are so friendly, never have once had an overcooked piece of seafood, which is really rare for most seafood boil establishments. The vendor was friendly, helpful, and gave me a peek at the food before he packaged it up to see that I was happy with it. There were five or six different levels of seasoning. I got the Cajun seasoning. The pricing was extremely fair. This one item (pictured) was more than enough for my wife and I. It was ready in under ten minutes. The outdoor seating is very nice for what it is, but we took ours home. Both of us have lived in New Orleans, and this was a great bit of indulgent nostalgia. AMAZING!! They only use corn meal and not a corn meal/flour mix, so the fried food is gluten free! We tried their fried fish, grilled shrimp, potatoes, corn and broccoli. Decided to come to Petes Cajun Seafood after seeing a review video on instagram, it did not disappoint! There was a wait about 30 min and I did order a large amount of food. The wait ended up being shorter than expected and the staff were amazing and so kind. We even got compensated for waiting longer than usual.
