Arguably the worst foot massage I have ever received and I get a lot of foot massages. Called to make an appointment and asked for a strong massasue and was promised a male because they are strong, which is completely fine with me. Got there and a female massaue came. Thought maybe that was fine as long as she gave good massage. But nope, completely wrong. She was literally give me just a foot rub (I did ask for stronger pressure too) and on top of that, she was FALLING ASLEEP! No strength, no technique - just 50 mins of lotion foot rub. I finally decided to schedule a well needed appointment for a 60 minute foot massage. I called the day before and got in first thing in the morning. They offer appointment online but be prepared to pay in advance. I recommend calling to set an appointment. There is a slight price difference when you pay with cash vs with card. I was scheduled for 10:30am but showed up around 10:15am and was walked to the foot massage room immediately. I believe Andy was the one working with me. I've never received a foot massage so it was different from what I imagined. Overall Andy was absolutely amazing.... When he got to the top of my foot the pressure was painful but it didn't last long. My 60 minute foot massage came with a 10 minute neck massage. The only thing I regret was not scheduling a combo massage! That 10 minutes was everything! For $35 you definitely get a nice bang for your buck! Thank you so much Andy! I happened to have the afternoon off of work today, so I decided to see if I could get an appointment for a foot massage and body massage combination. I was able to get an appointment, and I was glad that the prices were still very competitive. However, this is where I learn my lesson that you get what you pay for, the reflexology foot massage wasn't so bad. She could've been a little stronger however, the back massage was terrible. It was like she was trying to do acupressure first and no massaging. It was a very lazy massage if you can call that type of acupressure massage. She was taking her elbow and Jess, pushing it on different parts of my back, which wouldn't be so bad, but a real massage therapist would know to avoid the spine and put that much pressure on it Because it is not relaxing and could injure your customer. She also pulled my hair several times even though I had it up in a bun out of the way Because she has the towel go on my bun down the nape of my neck to my back where she pressed and pulled my hair from my head. I always request that they skip the scalp massage because it pulls my hair and tends to be painful, as well as any stretching because I'm hypermobile and their stretching tends to just stretch my joints rather than my muscles. I prefer firm pressure. The young lady at the front desk with her little dog has always been nice to me, and was a doll when I mentioned to her that my dog has recently passed away. Hahn is the man, although he may make you tear up a little when he hits your calves and arches. He's been great for my plantar fasciitis issues. WOW! I was not expecting such a great experience while visiting, the atmosphere is very calming, with relaxing music- I could immerse myself into a deep relaxation. They have modern beds where you get your reflexology massage with your feet, which was nice because I could control if I wanted to lay flat or at a slight angle. Lisa was GREAT. She had the perfect amount of pressure throughout the whole appointment, I did a 30 min reflexology massage + 30 min full body. She definitely knew the reflexology on the feet and released a lot of pressure throughout my legs/feet. I work all day on my feet so it is nice to find a place that puts actual care into their work. I have been going to Super Massage for years ever since they opened. I am normally very happy to happy with the masseuse there. I give this place one star because of one particular masseuse there literally inflicts pain. I call him the bruiser. I felt like I need a massage from my massage. Every time I told him it hurt he would laugh and stop for about a second and then have Add-it again. Some thing is wrong with that guy. He also rubs just a little bit too close to the private parts. The women and most of the men I've seen for years have been good but the last time I went, an older male masseuse with tattoos (don't know his name) did not drape properly, resulting in exposing me completely unnecessarily. I had never had him before and I felt very uncomfortable. I would never go back for this reason and would not recommend this specific to masseuse to anyone. Currently the special is $25. Unfortunately I interrupted my service half way through. The treatment started off fine but shorty become so painful that I could no longer tell myself I was just that overdue for a reflexology treatment. He did check in occasionally when I would jerk or pull back from the pressure. But when I would say I needed less pressure he would lighten up for a minute but that was about it. I dc'd the massage as courteous as possible. And really didn't want to make a fuss cause to be honest. I was in so much pain I was crying and beyond uncomfortable. I've practice massage for over 10 years. So I tried to offer my feedback because to be honest. I've been coming to this massage place for years and have always enjoyed my foot massage. However, the recent massage I received was one of the worst massages I've ever had in my life. The person massaging me massaged the bone on my legs (not the muscle!) which was extremely painful and he kept digging into the bottom of my feet so hard that I thought he was actually going to damage my foot. Note: I generally like very, very firm massages. It was so frustrating that I spent money on a massage that was actually really painful. I don't think this person had any training at all to massage. In addition, the background of this place is now very loud. The front desk lady kept talking loudly and yelling down the hall with the other massage therapists. It was very hard to relax. Great one hour foot massage option near Pleasant Hill. I've been twice and the service was spot on both times. About 45 minutes for foot and leg massage in a recliner chair and then they move you to table for about 15 mins of back and arms. The charged rate is definitely good value for the massage. This is not my 1st experience with reflexology but bro come on the dude, he was massaging me and really didnt give 10 hoots about massaging my legs. I want to like this place, but can't. I bought a Groupon, and that was probably a mistake. When I called to make my appointment and said I had a Groupon I was not given any specific instructions. Which turned out to be a big problem. I arrived 10 minutes before my appointment and gave the woman at the desk my Groupon. Big mistake. What no one told me was that they don't want a paper print out, they want to see the Groupon online. This was after the woman tried to get me to pay again. She kept insisting it was my mistake that I had a print out. I tried to use the Groupon app, but it wouldn't open. After 15 minutes I was finally able to pull the website up or I'd still be sitting there. The woman made a comment that she had to call someone to get payment. What? She also kept taking photos of my confirmation email I showed her and marked my Groupon redeemed on my account. She also wouldn't take the printed paper. I could tell she was sending these photos by text to someone. Not sure who. It wasn't until later that I wondered if she was able to read English. Needless to say, I was very stressed before my massage. I was finally shown into the foot massage room. No instructions on what to do except you can sit wherever you want since I was the only one there. Upon my arrival 3 customers left. The foot massage was good, the music relaxing, and all seemed okay. I was then shown into the massage room. It started fine, but the pressure kept getting more and more. When the woman masseuse felt me not relaxing she kept increasing the pressure. I have small black and blue marks on my body. Afterwards, as I was checking out, the masseuse gave me warm water to drink and the front desk person asked if I could give the tip to the masseuse now because she was in a hurry. What? I can't even drink a small cup of water first. And since I was put on the spot, I gave a tip. I was going to give a tip anyways, but really? Needless to say I won't be going back. This is a good place to get your feet rubbed. I like the fact that the foot massage for 70 minutes, focuses on your feet majority of the time. Then the last 10 minutes you go to another room to get a back massage. The workers here are hit or miss, you get very passionate people that will remove your feet and you get the other side of the pendullum where they just rub your feet.
