I like how she knows a variety of techniques as well as energy work. Not many people around do cranial sacral balancing. Her touch is gentle yet profound at the same time. I feel like every time I'm getting a session. It feels like a warm hug from my best friend. I have been seeing her for a few years now and was pleasantly surprised this last week when I stepped into her New Spa oasis in downtown Walnut Creek. I always joke with her that she can be an interior designer. Because everything is top-notch. Don't think just because she does Swedish and lymphatic drainage that her deep tissue is weak. Her deep tissue knocks my knots right out. If you're looking for a high-quality Massage, this is the place you need to book. One of the best parts about her new location is that it includes free parking.

Her warm and welcoming presence combined with her skilled therapeutic massage techniques made for an amazing experience as what I'd say has been one of the best massages I've ever had! Sometimes it is difficult for me to get a hold of them to get an appointment but I feel like scheduling online was best and if they missed my call they'd text me back. I occasionally get migraines accompanied by occipital neuralgia and I know nerve inflammation is largely part of it so I decided to try a more intense massage which was a great decision. Massage: I walked into the suite greeted by the receptionist, then was quickly given the intake form to fill out. They brought out a wooden basin to soak my feet in hot water while I was filling it out. My feet were dried off, I was given slippers, and was shown to the massage room. I chose the Signature Thai Massage which I really needed. The back walking was intense (again, it was my first time but I really enjoyed it!), and the accupressure massages + balm and stretches were my absolute favorite. My masseuse was Anna and she was so lovely. She managed to crack my back during some leg stretches which was SO NICE because I'm never able to crack my own back. I added on an indian head massage (because of my migraine and nerve inflammation in my neck). Cost: Very affordable and worth the price. I also liked how I could book the same day and be accomodated so quickly. Hygiene/Facility: The spa is a suite, located in the 2nd floor of a shopping plaza. It's quiet when you walk inside the hallway which makes it a peaceful transition when walking outside back into the noisy world. The spa itself is small, quaint, clean, and has a refreshments table with tea, coffee, and snacks. They have 3 massage rooms (I believe, or more?) which have double beds, but they're very spacious inside and have ample room to place your belongings + move around if you're doing a couples massage. Overall I loved this experience and will definitely be coming back. The staff was very kind and attentive.

You have the option to pay just a deposit or for the entire experience beforehand including tip. I was emailed a waiver that included questions about any health concerns etc a few days before the appointment. When I didn't get around to it that first day I got another email reminder. That's very helpful! The day of the appointment Carolina texted me about 30-45 minute before the set time. She gave me detailed instructions on finding the location. (It's a suite within a building.) When I arrived I texted to let her know and she opened the door for me. The suite is very clean and a calming atmosphere. Everything was very professional. I opted for the relaxing 60 minute massage. Carolina followed up in person to confirm that today my goal was to relax. She asked about any allergies and suggested lavender lotion. The process felt very comfortable. I was given privacy and the empty room to disrobe and her ready. She knocked and asked if I was ready for her to come in. The massage was great! There was a bit of aromatherapy. Carolina communicated well and checked in to make sure the pressure was okay for me. She told me at the end that my neck was very tense. She did a little bit of work on it. At the end she gave me a bottle of water, reminded me to hydrate, and suggested that a monthly treatment would help my very tense neck/back. I highly recommend Carolina! I left feeling as relaxed as I was on vacation. This woman has healing hands.

Absolutely worth it! So glad there's a quality place near home…read more Clean, quiet & serene establishment. Easy to forget you're in a "strip mall." Excellent, attentive & polite customer service. I don't even know how many times my hair was washed and conditioned with the advanced treatment, but my scalp feels refreshed & clean and my (curly, Black/biracial girl) hair is soft & bouncy. The multi-step mini facial left my skin soft and happy too. Sudsy neck & shoulder massage included. High value products used for the blow dry after; Olaplex & Amika. 20% off 1st time visit special! + the Vietnamese place next door is hella good, perfect for a before or after meal.

I hate leaving a bad review - but this was not a good experience at all for me…read more I visited H20 because I have thinning hair and thought this head spa might be able to support me with better scalp care. I purchased the "expert scalp service" which included a mini facial. It ultimately seemed like they just don't cater to people with any scalp or hair issues, they don't ask you about your concerns or goals, and really they provide a one size fits all experience. I really wanted to optimize my hair and scalp care, and sadly came away with the opposite. If they knew anything about scalp care for thinning hair, they sure didn't share any of that knowledge with me. Pro: The person who did my treatment seemed very kind and she meant well, so I have nothing against her specifically. I am giving two stars just because they seem like they try, they just don't seem to have any actual expertise in scalp or head care. The scalp analysis was a few quick close up scans of my scalp with no real explanation other than "see, there's some build up". I have very fine, brittle and thinning hair and the tech kept brushing it roughly throughout different parts of the treatment, including when it was wet with product in my hair (great way to lose more hair). I cringed as I could hear and feel my hair breaking every time. The treatment table is super uncomfortable and my neck kept locking up as the tech worked on different sides of my face, scalp and neck. The facial itself was totally claustrophobic - they put the face mask on, then a big sheet of gauze with something on top to weight it down covering your entire face, including mouth and eyes. It stays there for an hour while they do the scalp treatment. I couldn't see anything and there was so much going on with the water - it totally freaked me out when I was lying there trying to relax and had no idea what the tech was doing. And at one point, all of a sudden there's all this water shooting out at my neck out of nowhere. I spent half the treatment bracing myself for jump scares because I couldn't see anything. But even worse than the hair breakage was that the facial irritated my face so much that I am now all broken out :( I take really good care of my skin so this is a huge bummer. I have no idea what they did to it - there was some kind of scrubbing machine at the beginning of the facial that may have stripped my moisture barrier - or it was the fact that they left the mask on for an hour while they did the scalp treatment and it clogged my pores. My face is now all red and bumpy and some of it is itchy. This has never happened before, and I have no allergies - I think they just messed with my skin way too much. I'm sure they did not consider any specifics of my skin type or age when they did the facial. I'm glad other people like this place, and I'm sorry I didn't. If you have any specific scalp or hair issues, it may be best to avoid H20 or like me, you will come home with a lot less hair than you started with (and possibly a broken out face too!)
