We went mid-morning and was immediately greeted and sat. The server even pulled my chair out for me! We both ordered the cranberry pancakes with whipped cream. The food here is so damn good. I've had many of their breakfast dishes and my favorite is the avocado toast. It tends to be crowded early, so I typically go later just before closing so I never have trouble getting a table. Staff is attentive and food arrives quickly. There isn't any ambiance to speak of, but because the food is good, it doesn't seem to matter. I wouldn't mind if they stayed open until 3. Closing at 1:30 seems too early. read more

RUDE! Ordered a burrito without cheese and egg, a few veggies and add avocado (you would think with the price of eggs they would be happy). When I got my bill they charged me $5.00 for the avocado, not even a whole avocado was added!! $25.00 for a burrito with just a few veggies, bland potatoes and a cup of coffee (WTF!) (thankfully there was ketchup!), let me repeat that $25.00!! When I asked the waiter why so much for the avocado, it was because I added it, I also spoke to the manager, same answer with sarcasm. After waiting for my change which took forever the waiter returned and in a really loud voice,... Ordered a chicken quesadilla it was 16.99 for half a quesadilla, he spilled half of the chicken out of the quesadilla and proceeded to scoop it up using both hands (ungloved) and when I said I didn't want salsa the owner gave me my money back and said if you want it you have to pay again. An absolute disaster! I will never go back here again. According to another local store owner, this restaurant was recently sold. The locals stopped eating here because they changed the menu and increased the prices. The menu was small and has more light fare cuisine options than anything else. I actually didn't order anything and went to get a sub at another local shop. One of the owners tried to accommodate me; however, if you can't make a foot long sub, no deal. The place was also laid out badly and the tables weren't maximizing the space that they have. Being in this restaurant was approximately ten minutes of my life that I will never get back. read more

Within the last two years, 6A Cafe has become our new GO TO spot for breakfast. Every time we are on the cape we come here at least 2-3 times for breakfast. The interior is quaint and super clean, and service is friendly and prompt. Eggs benny in any way and the breakfast sandwiches are pure perfection! The home fries you can tell are made fresh and all the items are packed with flavor. No matter what you order here, it will be divine. I enjoyed a delicious breakfast with 7 friends this morning. After unsuccessfully trying to find a restaurant that could accommodate us, the staff sat us quickly and were very cheery and attentive. Terrible! Ordered eggs over-easy, bacon, sausage and pancakes. The eggs were brown on top, with literally blue tinges on the edges. (Hoping they touched the side of blueberry pancakes, just to be optimistic...) Pancakes arrived without any butter or syrup and server didn't offer them. Had to ask. Bacon was under-done and not good. Sausage was't browned and I couldn't eat it. To top it all off, when we did receive the "maple" syrup, it was in a squeeze bottle and appeared to be a watery substance. My friend ordered home fries with her meal, and they had a red liquid coating on them. (Not paprika) Coffee was overpriced. Service was poor. Establishment was uninviting and cold. My husband and I have stopped here a few times when in area when we walked in there was no customers it was around 10:30 am. Place was clean waitress friendly but their menu prices for breakfast we crazy high. 2 eggs homefries and toast 11.99? Pancakes 2 9.99? Breakfast sandwich with homefries 12.99? Come on guys Vegetable omelette 15.99? It breakfast not dinner. Will not be going back anytime soon. There is to many more places to go with reasonable prices. Let me start with the fact that it has an epic mini train that drives around the ceiling of the dinning area! "Wicked cool!" This is gonna sound crazy, but my god their toast is out of this world. Omelette was fantastic and a great size portion! Bacon was delicious and let me say it again, THAT TOAST!!! What is in that bread and butter?!? Chocolate chip pancakes were really good too! I pleasant breakfast to end a grand Cape Cod get away. Have passed this gem many times but never had the chance to eat here, something always came up. Well I placed it on our to do list and every thing worked out. We were even able to get out side seating as many tables were available and the day was a sunny, 60 degree beautiful day. The staff was more than welcoming and sat us immediately. No waiting. I found it to be friendly, courteous and very helpful. Our meals were there before we knew it too. I had the eggs benny and my friend had a omelet. Both just hit the spot and appeased our appetite. However, my eggs were cook through and not runny as this dish is supposed to be done. But, for safety sake, they may not be comfortable serving them runny. If that's the case, I totally understand. Looking forward to returning again next time we visit. Kudos to the team! read more

Stopped at this cafe for breakfast on our way home from our weekend in the Cape. I was not disappointed. Their homemade hash with eggs Benedict are to die for. Probably one of the best homemade hashes I've had (mind you I'm a breakfast fanatic lol). Service was quick, the food was great and the prices are reasonable. Stopped here starving for lunch and was glad they were still serving breakfast. As noted in other reviews the place is very small. The kind of diner where you are inclined to whisper at your table or surely the whole place will hear you. It's like you are sitting in someone's house. I think I'd play some oldies music and not make it so sleepy. Otherwise, the food and service is good. I had a special Portuguese omelette and asked them to serve it in a wrap which they gladly did. My daughter had a BLT and you could tell all the ingredients were high quality. If the town is called Sandwich you'd think you wouldn't have a hard time finding food but on 6A there's not a lot of choices. Glad I stopped here. read more
