Omelette

We've been coming to the Cape for years and have always noticed this restaurant & finally gave it a try. First impression was that it is a well established small breakfast venue. Inside was was dark, a little dingy and in need of updating. The waitstaff, who were not overly friendly seemed distracted throughout the time it took to place our order. To the point where I asked our waitress if I could have a water as she was walking away and she replied over her shoulder annoyed. Mind you it wasn't busy & she didn't even offer us drinks or water besides coffee. Our food came out and my husband remarked to me that the plates are stacked on each other, partly on the food of the plate below it - yuck! The food was mediocre at best. Stuffed french toast was more like just French toast with strawberry yogurt poured on top. The omelette was ok, home fries were nice & crispy. Pancake special was ok & scrambled eggs were fine. $83 for a breakfast of four seems a little pricey for that quality food. Sad to write such a disappointing review, we had such high hopes.

Extremely friendly staff. Food is fresh and delicious and the outside seating on a nice summer day is perfectly wonderful!

First time out not a huge breakfast fan but the wifey is! Food/Drink: Everything was great! Steak was cooked medium rare...actually. The eggs were cooked sunny side correctly, toast was light brown, hash was seasoned very well. Bread and Apps: None this time. Dinning Area: Pretty large, and open. A little drafty. Prices: Relatively cheap. Omelette, steak and 3 eggs, and 2 drink I got away for $35...OJ and milk are $5 a pop... a little high. Parking: Plenty of space, private lot. Bathrooms: Bathrooms were clean and smaller in size. Atmosphere: During the weekend brunch rush, during the off season. pretty steady. We did not wait at all. Staff/Attendants: Staff overall was Great, family owned and operated. Extremely authentic, home cooking. Awesome experience when for breakfast! 8/10

Great breakfast food! You can sit either inside or outside which is great on a nice day. The staff was nice and attentive. Food was amazing with great selection. Food came out quick and hot. Only down side is it was tough accommodating allergies however did have a great gluten free variety. Went with friends while in town, we got the waffles and pancakes which where huge! Great breakfast spot!!

Such a great breakfast place to go on vacation. Food and service was great. They were really busy but we were still able to sit quickly. Plus really cute merch.

Decided to check out The Breakfast Room because every time we drove by the parking lot it was packed. We sat inside however they do offer outside seating. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The inside is a bit dated (resulting in the lower rating) however the food was great.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Straightforward menu with typical breakfast offerings. I had an iced coffee and built my own omelette. I was pleasantly surprised with how it wasn't buttery/greasy like typical diner omelettes. My family also had the chocolate chip pancakes (not pictured). I'd recommend checking out The Breakfast Room!

We stumbled upon here while on the cape and our first two spots didn't pan out. We were sat outside fairly quickly and drink orders were taken. Service was extremely slow but our server was pleasant. We had to ask for sugar several times before it was actually brought over or more coffee was give . I noticed a special menu on Yelp but the server never told us about it. I had to ask, are there are specials because I saw it on Yelp? She said oh yes, there are as if she was never going to tell us. So service alone- 3/5 stars But the food was really good at a 4/5 stars. I enjoyed my crab cake Benedict because it was hearty and cooked to perfection. It was large enough that I was not hungry after but it didn't stuff me beyond full. Check out more foodie and non foodie fun on Instagram @date_night_craves

Used Yelp to determine where to eat breakfast. Drove 20 miles to find eclectic place with good service and good food.

Several friends had recommended Good Friends Cafe for breakfast, particularly because we had a…read moregluten-free friend with us, and we were told their gluten-free selection is quite large. All the road work going on MA 28 was also incentive, as we could get there without traveling on it from where we were staying. We were also told several times to get their grilled breads (if you weren't gluten-free, of course). The complimentary coffee in the waiting area was a nice tough as well. It certainly lived up to the recommendations. We had maybe a 3 minute wait for a table on a busy Friday morning. There were lots of specials on the blackboards on the side wall. Coffee came out quickly; it was piping hot and mellow, with very frequent refills. I did try the bread, an apple-cranberry, grilled/toasted medium with a pat of butter for extra yum. I opted for the hash Benedict with fruit instead of potatoes. I got potatoes by mistake anyway, but they immediately brought over the fruit. The eggs were perfectly cooked, the Hollandaise was flavorful, and the hash was crisp and not greasy at all. Now it's my turn to be a good friend and pass the recommendations forward for others.

We were late picking up take out one time and they called concerned that our food would get cold! One of the most charming touches is the wall of coffee mugs reserved for regular customers. It's such an adorable detail that adds to the welcoming feel. The homemade breads and muffins are an absolute must, especially toasted with butter. We've also enjoyed omelettes and the breakfast quesadilla. It's a warm, friendly breakfast spot that's easy to love.
