We stopped by the charming little cafe for a late breakfast. Upon entering we were greeted by the staff who quickly directed us to the menus and offered to take our order. There were a few seats open inside the cozy building, but we opted to sit outside on the patio which had a perfect setup with a steady breeze, and shade to prevent from getting overheated in the summer sun. I had a standard bacon, egg, and cheese on a plain bagel while my wife had the breakfast burrito. Both were served quickly and left us full as well as satisfied. The slice of fresh watermelon served on the plate was a welcome surprise. We also had one of the ham and cheese croissants from the counter which we took a single bite out of and decided we needed more for the road. This is a fantastic little cafe, and the fact that it offers on the job experience for students interested in food service is even more reason to visit! We will definitely be returning! read more

Wowzer! Clem, Clem's girlie, and myself treated ourselves to a birthday breakfast here. Clem was squealing with excitement as he nibbled on my lavender muffin (scrumptious)! Clem's girlie particularly liked the watermelon as a lil addy add on. Melanie our stupendous server, was a phenomenal host for my birthday. She sang for me and waited on us hand and foot. Love this spot for walking from the beach. They have a lot of food to choose from and creative lattes if you want something sweeter. I recommend the pistachio muffin - it's so good! They have some outdoor seating as well as indoor. Bonus: get a drink and walk to the Titcomb's bookstore down the street! read more

First off, no view of a river- and that was our only disappointment! Very helpful servers, delicious and generous chicken salad sandwich on excellent cranberry bread (I bought a loaf to bring home-- I think $13 for an enormous loaf). The breakfast sandwich (forgot the name) was very flavorful, although I wish it had been bigger. One places the order up front, then pick a table and they deliver the food to the table. I believe it's a work-training center for youth, and our food-server gave wonderful service. I would absolutely put Cafe Riverview into my regular rotation of places to eat. read more

And let me say I'm so glad I stopped in not only is the chicken salad sandwich amazing vegan chickpea salad that I got with it is delicious I've never had anything like it I can't wait to try the pasta salad that I got which will be part of my lunch tomorrow! Shout out to Robi who helped me at the counter she was amazing made me feel welcomed and went out of her way to make sure that I got my fresh brewed iced tea which is spot on!! We LOVE Cafe Riverview but their prices have unfortunately increased drastically because they charge 4% more if you're not paying cash and there's really not a cash "discount" it's just a much higher price with a card. Especially in Covid this is super odd IMO. That said, the staff is friendly and awesome. The food is all good, especially the breakfast sandwiches. There is always a great selection of hot coffee and pastries, muffins etc. baked fresh. read more

Wonderful place in Sandwich, MA to get a nice breakfast. I got a bacon, egg, cheese and avocado wrap from here 2 days in a row along w/ their iced coffee (dark roast) and both were delicious. They had some fresh cut strawberries as a fruit cup option which I got too and they were great. Our first stop on vacation. Met by a lovely lady working at the counter (Kathy I think). She was very pleasant and we had a nice conversation while waiting for our food. My family and I recently visited Cafe Riverview while staying in East Sandwich (Surfside Cottages). It was recommended by our VRBO host and it did not disappoint! Yummy, fresh foods, great service, and quaint porch area to sit outside and enjoy the weather. I had the lox on an everything bagel, my husband had a delicious breakfast sandwich, and even the kids (ages 11, 8, and 3) all ate their foods! Can't beat that! Amazing coffee, hot or cold! Love the danishes. The food here is so good and if you like sweet drinks like me, they have such fun latte flavors. I would give this place 5 stars but the staff don't seem overly happy to see you and were kind of short with me. Maybe I'm over sensitive but the friendlier the place the better I like it. Just exceptional service and a fantastic lunch to go with it. This place has been here for a few years and one of the employees has the success of Cup 2 Cafe in Wareham behind her as well. But there is something here in Sandwich that you don't have in Wareham and that's a smooth tone to your visit and much more comfort at the tables too. I had a Cranberry Chicken salad that was presented on the Cranberry toast on bread from Boston and the whole was just fabulous. Large chunks of chicken all through the sandwich were just fantastic with a perfectly presented taste. A must for a return visit and very well priced as well. read more

Cafe Riverview is nice small cafe in Sandwich, Ma run by the students at the Riverview school. The service is always awesome! The staff are very friendly. The coffee and food are delicious! You can get your food to go or sit in the nice dining room to the left. Last time i was there, i had mentioned one of the hit coffee flavors was empty, within a minute they had a new carafe full and ready to go! Looked for a local place to get together with family and friends for a quick bite on Yelp, and found this place had 72 5-star reviews. And for good reason, the environment is very clean, the staff is very friendly, and the food is fresh and delicious. They're theme seems to be to provide a relaxing, comfortable environment where students can come to study and grab a bite. All of the food our party ordered came out great, the only thing was that my friend was hoping to get a little bit more of his soup. Definitely a 5-star establishment, and I look forward to stopping by again if nearby. read more
