I arrived early to meet friends on a Sunday at 3:30 and was surprised how crowded the parking lot was...only to find out they have live music and a buck-an-oyster happy hour. The bar was very lively! Every time I eat here I am so impressed by the service, atmosphere, and food--all top notch. We were seated under an air vent blowing cold air (it's winter, but I think they were anticipating the crowd later on). I asked our waitress if there was anything that could be done and minutes later she returned to say the manager was dealing with it, and then the heat came back on. I've requested this at other restaurants only to be ignored. Not inexpensive, but worth every $$$$, IMHO. read more

Even on a gloomy, misty day, sitting at Fisherman's View with its many windows and well-positioned inlet vantage point made for a lunch I could've dragged out through dinner & dessert. Aw he**, I could've stayed til lunch the next day! The crab cakes were tender & flakey. And the apple & fennel salad was an ample, crispety-crunchety, flavorful accompaniment. We also couldn't resist ordering the maple butternut squash, which was downright bathing in high quality pure maple-syrup, resembling more of a dessert than a side and exquisite nonetheless. My brother, seated across from me, helped himself to the MP lobster roll... and I watched as his pupils turned into hearts with eat tender nibble. This was a lunch of epic proportions. read more

My family and I decided to come here, it was a bit of long wait but we read online that it was a must to try out the restaurant. There wait was over 30 mins but it went very fast. We wanted to sit inside but the reservations were all booked for the rest of the year which we thought that was pretty crazy. The food was very very good and it tasted very fresh. This has previously been our favourite restaurant when we were on the Cape. We had always been completely satisfied. However, On 6/2/2026, we brought a friend who was visiting from out of town and we raved about the haddock which we had the previous time we were there. it was so fresh, delicious, and melted in your mouth. Unfortunately, this time, it was tasteless. We were very disappointed. Also, the broccoli was very overcooked, but the mashed potatoes were delicious. The 1 star deduction is because the wait wasn't great and they don't take reservations around so that's hard to avoid, even on a weeknight. Ended our trip in Sandwich MA at fisherman's view through the recommendation of our bnb host. Upon arrival we were taken aback by how booked and busy this place was. It was 8pm on a Thursday. The host let us know for a table of three it would be about 1.5 hour wait. We accepted it and to our surprise a table was ready in half the time. Our waitress was friendly and quick. We ordered the cod, lobster mac, fried chicken thighs, and steak. The food was pretty good, nothing to call home about. I would say the biggest "issue" for us was that we were sat outside on a cold ish night, it was windy, no sun, super cloudy and we were suprised to see a place as nice as fisherman's view didn't have heat lamps or offered blankets. read more

Beautiful restaurant with fresh food! After a long day of travel, we stopped in for a late dinner before heading to Wellfleet. We arrived at 8:45pm and there was no wait. We sat inside and were promptly served with warm delicious cornbread. Our party of seven promptly placed our order and food was served quickly. This was perfect because we were hungry after a long day of travel. Bang bang shrimp and a BLT sandwich hit just the right spot. Fresh and delicious! OK, So let's take a look at the Fisherman's View restaurant in Sandwich, Ma. This restaurant AND fish market has been around for over 10 years, but we just discovered it a couple of years ago. It is now our go-to place for dinner on the upper Cape. What I like about it: The food is great. The ambiance. The place is right on the Cape Cod Canal at the mouth of the Atlantic Ocean. If you're lucky you'll get to see some amazing boats pass by your window. The staff: We have never yet met anyone at this place who wasn't cheerful, greeting us warmly, professional. Last night our server was Rachel who's been there 8 years. She should be teaching a course on what it means to be a server. The price: extremely competitive. The Bar: It ROCKS. Was looking for a spot for lunch on our way back home from spending the weekend on the Cape, this place was rated pretty high and seafood can't get any fresher than this as its boat to table! We took a chance on Easter Sunday without reservations and walked in when they first opened and scored a table! Just a tip, plan ahead and try to get a table overlooking the water. They did have a fantastic looking bar as well that had we not scored a table, we would've been fine at the bar as well. We ordered several appetizers - 2 sushi rolls, the cauliflower and the notorious crab cakes. We were wowed by all of our apps! The sushi was phenomenal and we've had ALOT of sushi in our lifetime. The fish in the rolls were so fresh and they weren't super doused in sauces to really let the fish shine. The mister absolutely loved his crab cakes - said they were delish! We both ordered fish - fish and chips for me and the fish sandwich for him. They offered two different ways to have it - either beer battered or clam fried (lighter batter) which is what I opted for. Fish was just ok in my opinion, good not great. We had high hopes for our entrees as we throughly enjoyed our apps. Service was impeccable so absolutely no complaints there. Beautiful location on the water! We arrived just before lunchtime & we were able to sit at a table in the bar, but this place filled up fast! Everyone loved their food & the service was great! The lobster roll was stuffed & overflowing with delicious lobster. We loved the scallops served with butternut squash (I was thinking about it all day) & roasted potatoes. Can I rate this place 10 stars? OMG! This was such a great experience. Suggestion: make rezos, come 20 min before arrival time and ask for an outside view. Our server was Ava and she was remarkable. With great views of the harbor and CC Canal, Fishermen's View is a great gateway restaurant to Cape Cod. This was a heck of a find! My wife and I were looking for a place for seafood. It is an upscale restaurant with dockside views. They had live music playing when we went. The restaurant was booked up with reservations however we decided to sit at the bar and enjoy dinner there. We ordered their signature salad and had a 2 pound lobster which we shared. This restaurant was on our way home after visiting the town of Plymouth. My cousin told us it was highly recommended because it is known that the owner uses the daily catch in the restaurant to ensure the freshness of the ingredients. Being the first time here, and judging by the ambiance, we thought the prices was going to be a little expensive. To our surprise, prices were very reasonable. Our server, a very sweet lady by the name of Anelle (spelling?), was assigned to us. Very friendly and polite, she made us felt comfortable right away. She gave us water and then moved away to give us time. The second time she came around, we were not familiar with Jonah crab and she patiently explained the difference between this crank and the one we were familiar which was the rock crab. She courteously excused herself and then brought us their delicious corn bread. I had never had corn bread this good before. The food came soon enough and Anelle came by our table often to check on us. The food was awesome and the portion was generous. When she found out we loved the corn bread, she brought us a little more for us to bring home. This little gesture made us felt at home. I would have given four stars if the fish and chips for $28.00, fries were not received too cold for us to enjoy. The options for the fish are batter fried or clam fried. My husband and I opted for clam fried. The fish was hot and fresh. Cold fries should not be served regardless of what the menu price is. The calamari appetizer for $22.00 was very good. The menu price for a side of fries is $7.00. I am 67 years old and can't remember ever being served cold fries. The menu is limited to mainly seafood with few other option. No issues with the service. Ambiance was ok. There was a musicIan performing at the entrance to the enclosed porch, but we could not hear the music from our table. The food was ok but not worth what they charge. We will not be returning. There are too many other restaurants with better menu options and more reasonable prices. read more
