I believe potential donors and customers should ask questions about participant compensation, financial transparency, and program oversight before supporting this organization. Nonprofits should be held to a high standard, especially when they claim to be helping vulnerable young women.

Prices are reasonable and the money goes to a good cause. The coffee is robust and flavorful. The service was friendly and the clerk described the mission to me. Cedar Tree Kitchen is the most adorable bakery/coffee shop. I have passed by the building for years…read moreand never stopped. But glad I stopped today. Cheri Goodwin is the owner, baker and clerk. She was welcoming today and offered us coffee samples of a locally roasted low acid specialty coffee called Silk Coffee that she is featuring. The coffee is smooth and good. The shop is small and cozy, like grandmother's kitchen. There is one table that sits beneath a crystal chandelier. There is a glass case filled with beautiful assorted cupcakes and muffins. There are lovely cookies wrapped in cellophane on the counter. All the pastries are baked right there in the kitchen. Cheri tells us that the blueberry muffins are the top seller, so I buy one. She warms the muffin. The muffins is soft and delicious. I love this place. The shop is only open Wednesday - Friday. On Thursday, she offers a cup of free coffee with a purchase. She calls Friday "Fun Friday" with the opportunity to spin the wheel for a discount. There is a boutique on the south side of the cafe. You can enter the cafe through the boutique or through a door on the east side of the building. There are a couple parking spots in front. This is a wonderful local shop and worth the visit.

A stop at Titus donuts is essential for the city folk who are making a road trip to Chicago!

Their hours are limited (only opened Thursday - Saturday). Morgan was clerking when I stopped by today and described where the meats are sourced. All the meats come from This Old Farm north of Lebanon except for the chicken which comes from an Amish farm on the border of Indiana and Ohio. The meat arrives fresh and the final processing happens at the shop. In the shop, they carry most cuts of beef, pork, lamb and chicken. They are known for their specialty sausages which come with natural casings. Meats can be purchased fresh or frozen. They also offer special bulk packages (for freezing.) they also carry a limited amount of locally sourced sauces and rubs in the shop. Prices are really reasonable for freshly sourced products. I stocked up! Morgan said that they have a rewards program that you can sign-up for and gives you future discounts based on purchases.
