Came around 2 am looking for something cheap to eat and I love hot dogs so... yeah. There were surprisingly still a good amount of hot cooked foods there too like tacos. Loved how you could add different things to hot dogs and how the buns were in separate packages. The rest of the condiments and toppings looked a little questionable though with spoons and bits of other toppings in certain topping buckets. Not the most sanitary areas maybe. The hot dog with chili was cheap and delicious but kind of ruined my stomach a few hours later with some sort of discomfort. But I really don't have high expectations for a 7-Eleven. Not only is this place a dump, the employees are terrible: I stopped in this morning for Diet Coke and two lottery tickets; having just seen a story on the news about a guy who won $200 million, I thought I would indulge my lottery fantasies with tickets. The usual scene at this location: dirty floors, odd people hanging around outside and a cast of characters indoors ranging from those who look like they just busted out of prison to people who live in the neighborhood and are too tired to walk a few blocks further to Harris Teeter. I had two credit cards and a $20 bill on me, the guy at one of the registers shouted at me, shook his head and I took this to mean that he didn't have change for a $20 (Wells Fargo is right across the street for change!). I confirmed that he had NO MONEY in his register (no $$$?), shrugged and said a $20 is all I had, asked if I could pay with my Visa card and he nodded (how was I to know lottery tix are cash only? If I were one of the regulars who stands around scratching tickets all day while bumming cash from people, I suppose THEN I would know, but...). Put my Visa card in the machine, he tells me "card no good". My reply was that the card IS, in fact, "good" and maybe it is his machine. He is angry, so I go back to the fact that he has NO MONEY IN HIS DRAWER and asked if the register three feet away has change? We try a few more times, even tried my second card, nothing works. Then the guy at the other register began yelling at him, then a guy in line next to me is yelling at them because his chalupa (or whatever the f**k it was) was mild and not spicy, I continued to say I was just trying to pay and then I was told the second register also had no money. So they had been open for hours at this point without a single nickel in either register? Come on, no one believes that crap. Then the second guy shouted at me and said I couldn't pay with a credit card; I snapped right back and told him it wasn't my intention in the first place, but HIS COWORKER said I could. Yes, then they went back to bickering like two 13 yr old girls, and finally I handed back the tickets, shoved the Diet Coke aside and said I had already spent 10+ minutes trying to pay and they could keep it all. Guy #2 started yelling at me that I couldn't not pay for the tickets since they were already printed. Dude, I tried to pay with cash, I couldn't pay with credit, so maybe you should just lock the doors and call it a day. I walked out while he was shouting about calling the cops, and I actually wish he HAD so I could tell them that the "crime" was that I tried to pay with both cash and credit, but couldn't. I went in tonight for a fountain drink because I wasn't feeling good. I noticed the cashier looked me in the eyes and asked me if I was ok, twice. Then he told I could get a free slurpee (just now realizing why - it's July 11th). On my way back I realized perhaps his questioning was because of my black eye/skin cancer scar. It's a small, dirty store where nothing works, the aisles are so cramped that it's hard to move around, and the parking lot is always littered with garbage that spills out onto the surrounding streets and sidewalks. The employees don't care about helping customers, they don't speak English well enough to conduct basic transactions, and they shortchanged me a few dollars but hid behind the language barrier to avoid making it right. The dirty store and garbage-strewn lot show that they take no pride in their work and aren't trying to be a positive presence in the neighborhood. The only adequate thing at this location would be the Amazon lockers, which of course are overseen by Amazon rather than the 7-Eleven staff. I've had Amazon packages sent here twice and picked them up without any problems. read more

This is a 7-Eleven, and an older one, so don't expect perfection. That being said, I love this 7-Eleven and go there all the time. The staff is good and works very hard. I have seen the owner there several times and he clearly runs a tight ship and does a great job with this location. It is always stocked--never out of anything I go there for. I am writing this review because I was checking if it was open 24 hours and seen a bunch of negative reviews. They are clearly exaggerated reviews by spoiled people who expect that this should be a luxury convenience store because of the location. It is a great location. read more

I saw one of store reps at around 6:00 to 6:15pm treat a delivery person with the utmost disrespect. Is this what your store represents this person did not need to be treated that way. Also, when he responded your store rep behavior your store rep wants to play the victim. You should take time to train your store reps because that behavior is not excusable to anyone who comes to the location. If this delivery person gets his delivery wrong it looks bad on you as the brand, not the person who picking it up at least he nice enough to confirm the information before just grabbing anything. Also if the rep is not happy with his job maybe he should find another job. Hope you address this with your store reps. read more

This 7 eleven is close to where I live in Pentagon City area and never go to this location; now I remember why... 1.the floor was dirty and sticky in some places 2. The counters were not clean where you make coffee and food. 3. There was this really weird smell throughout the store, gross store. All this during COVID-19 concerns! So I live across from this 7-11 and the cashier at night always tries to steal money if you pay in cash. I normally pay with a card but the two times I've paid in cash he over charges. I got an item that was 4.99 and he rang it up and said "10 dollars" to which I said " it's 4.99 and you didn't ring my second item" so he rang up my second item and said " 8.35". I gave him a 20 and he gave me 9 dollars back. I told him it was 11.65 he owed me... which showed on the register. He told me repeatedly he had no change to give. Don't ever pay in cash! The two times I have done it, this is the behavior to expect. It has been the same cashier both times... but pay with a card. This is easily one of the worst 7-Eleven locations EVAR. Rude staff. Poor selection. I have even tried to be proactively nice, thoughtful, and helpful in suggesting items to improve their inventory (and then thanked them when some feedback was acted upon!), but was there a smile? Really, I end up actually going *out of my way* to avoid this location, when, on the contrary - if the staff were friendly & they managed their supply chain better - I could easily be a regular customer. Do NOT go to this 7/11! My boyfriend and I have been going pretty regularly since we moved in across the street in 2016. Last time we went, a patron was yelling how he just saw a rat but it was hard to tell if he was kidding or not and the workers just brushed him off - confusing experience so I stored it away to keep an eye on. I went tonight and sure enough, one of the chip shelves was LOADED with mouse droppings and the workers weren't even doing anything about it, this was out in plain sight! I absolutely would not get any food here. On top of this, one of the cashiers is incredibly rude, his gums are ALWAYS bleeding, and he obnoxiously forces more items on you even after you say no multiple times. Horrible... Every time I go in there (which is fairly often) the staff cant be bothered to help you. I'll go to the counter and there has only been ONE time in my last 8 visits where someone was at the register to ring me up. Convenience stores should be about a quick stop, not waiting for 10 minutes for someone to decide that texting on their phone isnt as important as ringing up customers. On top of that the staff is usually rude except for one gentleman AND there are many times where the things im looking for are out of stock. This is one the most interesting 7-Eleven stores. Emphasis on "the most" because they do the most. For starters, the signage says Seven Eleven. Ok. The location, attached to the side of the the Claridge House Apts. might be the reasoning behind the name. Something more upscale, as much as a 7-Eleven can get. I have been a repeat customer for nearly a year. It's a place where I would get VA Lottery tickets for my grandmother whenever I am in Pentagon City. I live in D.C. and my grandmother in VA. This particular trip was the one that caused me to review and the rating is 1 Star. On the Seven Eleven side, signage says that parking is 15 minutes and for customers only. I thought that this was so that guests of the Claridge House would not take up space for paying customers. Either way that never had anything to do with me because I never had a reason to visit the apartments nor a reason to be in any Seven Eleven for 15 minutes. In line at Seven Eleven on this particular occasion, one gentleman wanted a particular kind of roll-up so that took some time. It's his money. The next customer didn't hand the cashier the bills for her two bananas and held her hand out for the cashier to pick out the correct change from the coins in her palm. After paying for three scratch-offs, I walked outside to see my car about to be towed. After parking closer to Claridge House a resident or concierge reported me and in between 5-10 minutes and I was told that for $25.00 I could get my car. Seven Eleven works out a financial agreement to own or rent the space in the Claridge House building and the separate parking lots aren't divided physically. I understand towing egregious persons avoiding paying for street parking and taking up valuable space for large amounts of time but they are running game. From here on out I am avoiding Seven Eleven within the Claridge House because the signage is not on par with the hustle they are running. read more

What can you say that hasn't already been said about a 7-eleven. Its mildly appointed with junk food and a crappy beer selection but their abundance on every corner makes them impervious to failure in large part because suckers like me get a hankering for a snack or a drink and throw caution to the wind buying more things than I need every time I go there. Whether its jalapeno cheese taquitos, lollipops, or a six pack of Stella, this 7-eleven is always there for me. The staff at this particular location are particularly rude. I've stopped killing them with kindness and now just return the rudeness in kind. It seems to go over well. Try it out. If you go let me know what you think about the naming convention. Don't patronize this dump. We've been in this place regularly- it's never been great but we've dealt with it- but we're done. Today my wife stopped in and after making a purchase discovered she'd accidentally locked her keys in the car. She went back inside, explained what happened and asked to use their phone to call me to come get her. The worker (a manager or owner- he's always in there and always parks his car sideways in the handicapped spot with no handicap tag) yelled at her for asking and told her to leave. Another customer let her use his phone to call me and she waited outside. The worker came outside and screamed at her and said he was calling the police on her because she's loitering. She asked how a paying customer can be loitering and he screamed at her again and stormed inside. I arrived and unlocked the car, and started to drive away, at which point the worker came running out taking pictures on his phone threatening again to call the police because she was "threatening" him. read more

An excellent 7-11 with a variety of offerings and friendly service. Having frequented it for several years I feel they've been consistently good in the quality of their hot food, the variety of their items and services for such a small shop, as well as their general level of service. They sometimes will try to sell you extra but sometimes these are actually quite good deals you don't normally see. The parking lot can get quite full at all hours of the day and sometimes it gets a bit rough in the later hours - overall though a great location. read more

Today is Jan 9, 6 am. I want to report and incident. 5 min ago I walked into The store and wanted to buy coffee. The coffee holder, which supposed to have hot coffee once cold coffee. After a small taste I told the store manager (he sounded like Ethiopian guy by accent) angrily shouted at me saying it is hot. When I asked in calm manner to check that himself he showed me the door out like big boss ordering his subordinates. Because I was going to the airport I did not have time. But I highly do not recommend the place and also want to tell the manager to get rid of suck rude and non sensitive guys to avoid ruining their business.
