I've been a fan of these Macarons for years, and what first drew me in was their adorable themed designs for holidays and special occasions like Lunar New Year, Valentine's Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. While their character macarons and classic rounds are super cute, what keeps me coming back is that they actually taste amazing. There's nothing worse than biting into a beautiful macaron only to find it's dry, but that's definitely not the case here. Their macarons are consistently moist, flavorful, and fresh, with the perfect texture every time. My first Japanese soufflé cheesecake experience was from a commercial chain, and while it was light and fluffy, it doesn't compare to Always Yours Bakery Cafe. Their cheesecakes are THIQ in the best way possible--rich, dense, creamy, and still have that perfect jiggle. My absolute favorite flavor is the Ube! Ever since discovering them, I'd much rather order a whole cheesecake from here than pick up a standard birthday cake from the grocery store. It's always a crowd-pleaser! DRINKS. I'm def a matcha gworrrrl so I had to try as many flavors as I could! They have pistachio, banana cream, strawberry, and creme brûlée. What really stole my heart was the Earl Grey Creme Brûlée Milk Tea! "Creamy earl grey tea with your choice of milk, topped with our housemade salted cheese cream, torched sugar, and creme brûlée pudding." It's def a unique combo I haven't came across any other milk tea shop yet til here, and given that it's a bakery, I figured their creme brûlée would be amazing--and it FASHO IS! Not only are you able to purchase from their bakery case, you can also request to have desserts made for special events! (In advance of course.) I very much enjoy their macarons and fresh fruit tarts. They also added Banana Matcha to their menu when it became a craze, and I 10/10 would recommend it. They use high quality matcha powder (Marukyu Koyamaen) for their drinks. This is one of the few things that drew me into their cafe. The baristas are extremely friendly and have a wonderful sense of humor, AND they support small businesses! While you wait for your order, you can browse their shelf full of crystal candies, matcha sets, candles, and they may also have Natsume matcha tins available! Came across this bakery while in castro valley so we decided to try them out. We ordered banana and mango matcha as well as a creme brulee and strawberry cheesecake. The pastries were really good especially the creme brulee. Unfortunately the drinks were disappointing. The matcha itself was pre-made. I saw the server pouring the matcha from a pitcher. Matcha has to be freshly made every order but pouring from a pitcher was just disappointing. The drink was definitely not fresh even the fruit was not fresh. Small bakery in a shopping center with barely any parking. It took us about 15 minutes to find a parking spot. Don't say that you weren't warned! Parking is VERY challenging given that there are a lot of stores/eateries in the area. I came here to check out a cupsleeve event that they were hosting. The bakery is small and the vendors were in a very tight space so it was a little hard to navigate around. No seats were available, so I stood for most of the time. I decided to try their macarons while I was there. Unfortunately they ran out of the BTS printed ones, but I was lucky to buy a couple character ones and a matcha rice crispy treat. My cousin was fortunate enough to score a couple BTS macarons, therefore she was able to show me how they came out. They didn't have a huge selection of desserts to choose from, however, they do have a wide selection of drinks, flavors similar to other boba places. The macarons were light, chewy and filling wasn't too sweet, which was the perfect balance. Unfortunately, I was disappointed with the matcha rice crispy treat. For our wedding, we had a highly custom request for a wedding cake (Maplestory themed!), so we consulted with Natalie before purchasing. She was extremely nice and accommodating, even outside of the bakery's business hours since we were super late. We taste tested and loved ALL the flavors, but ended up with matcha, ube, and vanilla. During the day of the wedding, Natalie and her team promptly delivered this beautiful 3 tiered custom themed cake. Our family visited on Sunday. We arrived at 12:15; the hours listed online stated they opened at 12 but really it was 11 am. Because we arrived so late after opening, nearly all their macarons were gone (not faulting them on this as that's to be expected arriving so late after opening but it was part of our experience). They were out of Vietnamese coffee so we had to wait while they brewed more. We decided to give it another try on Monday. I used to frequent Always Yours for their unique desserts and quality matcha, but I was really disappointed by the customer service I received today. I ordered two matcha drinks from their kiosk: a banana pudding matcha and a matcha with Biscoff cream top. A few minutes later, I was told they were out of Biscoff cream and was asked if I wanted to substitute it with banana pudding instead. I asked for a regular matcha instead, and they said they would refund the extra charge. When my drinks were ready, I was surprised to receive a matcha with Biscoff cream anyway, along with what was clearly a pistachio cream matcha that I never ordered. I immediately let them know my order was incorrect, and they took it back to fix it. Unfortunately, when I tried the corrected drink, I could still taste pistachio bits in my banana pudding matcha. It seemed like their solution was simply adding banana pudding on top of the original pistachio cream, instead of remaking the drink I ordered properly. I initially wanted to order my daughter's 16th birthday cake from here but with my recent phone interaction with them, I've decided not to. My daughter doesn't like regular cake but she does love Japanese cheesecake. I sent my oldest daughter here to purchase a couple slices to try a few weeks ago. She brought home the Ube and pumpkin cheesecakes and some pumpkin macarons. We really liked the Ube cheesecake so we decided to order that in a full sized cake. Fast forward to today, I give them a call to get more information on ordering. Mind you I did look at their website beforehand but had some additional questions. The person who answered the phone tried to answer my questions but then I was cold transferred to someone else who didn't want to be bothered by my questions. She had a rude tone and kept referring me back to the website. I asked her how long in advance I needed to place the order and she said 1-2 weeks even though their website said 5 days for cheesecakes. She got annoyed when I pointed that out and she responded in a rude tone that it must be old info. Don't get upset with me....I don't manage the website. Then I asked if it's too late since she is saying 1-2 weeks and she said (again in a rude tone) that it's still a week away and to submit the online form to see if they can make it. Then she said that there have been complaints that their online form doesn't work and if that happens to use the online contact link. I guess they don't like customers calling them over the phone - everything should be done online! Call me old school but I do like to pick up the phone and speak with a live person. I was super turned off by the entire conversation and thought okay, they don't want my business. I'll figure out something else. If you have a timeframe for orders, I would recommend giving a specific number of days (i.e. 10 business days). If you can't do it, it's fine. Just be direct. Don't make customers go online and submit a form that takes 2 business days for a response when we can just go on with our lives and make plans elsewhere. So sad because we really did enjoy their Ube cheesecake. Before I called, I was planning on stopping by since we'll be in the Bay so we can check out their other goodies but the impression I got was that they don't want my business. This is a cute bakery in a compact plaza in near Redwood Road. When you enter the bakery, there are lots of eye-catching desserts. I came here on a Sunday afternoon to pick up my friend's pre-ordered birthday cake. While I was there, I ordered the banana matcha. The flavors balanced each other out and I really enjoyed it. Got a lemon tart, and it had a light fluffy topping that was toasted. I would've never thought to pair lemon with marshmallow (?), but it was tasty! Also got a classic fruit tart. I wish the fruit on top of the fruit tart was a little more ripe. I also picked a variety of macarons. For an American bakery, they're good. I tasted sugar before I tasted their intended flavor, and their shell wasn't as thin and delicate as a macaron should be. I suspect they use gel dyes. Maybe try powdered dye to enhance the fruit flavor as well? I'm not a baker. I just like good food. I'd like to see them keep improving their flavors and growing their expertise with time. I discovered Always Yours back during COVID when it was still called Macarons By Natalie, who had hosted one of my all-time favorite Yelp events-- SO COOL to see her business grow into a formal brick-and-mortar store! Been waiting for the right occasion to order custom macarons and finally did for my partner's 30th birthday. About a month in advance, I placed an order on their website and received an email from Lesly, their Operations Manager, within 2 days later. Over the course of a few weeks we discussed design, flavor, quantity, and pickup time. Lesly made the process so smooth, even when I kept changing my mind LOL. I signed an invoice and paid upfront. On pickup day, I arrived at their bakery-- bustling with activity-- and was surprised to meet Natalie herself :D My macarons were stored in the adjacent fridge. And the designs were perfect!!! They looked just like the reference pics I sent, and were packaged carefully into two boxes. I drove them home with no problem. They were delicious-- I chose Tiger Sugar (!!!!), Matcha Oreo, and Cookies & Cream. I love that she has Asian-inspired flavors. The bakery onsite is tidy, spacious, and super cute. I usually come here for the Macarons and Ube Crinkle cookies. Last year I ordered custom macacrons for Crime Lab week which had our agency's logo on them. This year, different job. My staff is having a little one so of course we threw baby shower and of course I thought of this place. Contacted Natalie directly about a month before I needed the cake. Very responsive. I had ordered a graphic cake topper for the cake from another place and delivered it to the bakery to put on top. Cake was ready on time. The only issue, which was NOT their fault was that when they went to peel the fondant cake topper off the plastic it started to crumble. So we just left it and we'll we had a laugh while cutting through the plastic The manager told me that normally graphic toppers are printed on rice pape (which is edible). BUT the cake itself was moist and looked like the photo I sent. Next time Ill have them do the whole thing, graphics included. I found Always Yours Bakery Cafe on Instagram when looking for vendors who have worked at our wedding venue in Saratoga. I immediately reached out to Natalie who was very communicative about the catering options and we built a tasting menu for my husband and I to try. We created a custom menu to fit our needs for our guest count. I ended up choosing a 2 Tier cake with one tier being Cookies & Cream and the other Vanilla with strawberries. We also got the mini tiramisu cups, mango panna cotta, fruit tarts, lemon meringue tarts and strawberry cream puffs. Everything was delicious and all our guests complimented it. Delivery came at the expected time I had requested. Everything went very smoothly and my only regret is that I didn't order more. I plan on catering through Always Yours again in the future and could not recommend them enough. read more
