No trip to Hawaii is complete without stopping at 7-11 for some musubis and siomai! We've kind of made it a tradition that our first stop and bite in Hawaii is at 7-11 and it didn't disappoint. When you walk in, we headed straight to the musubi case and went to town. Did I spend over $20 on musubis and siomai? I most definitely did. They have so many options for musubis ranging from traditional spam, garlic butter spam, teri spam, longanisa and more. I think out of all of them, the garlic butter is by far the best one to get. BUT the real star of the show and what was most addicting was their jalapeno siomai. I don't know what they do to make it so tasty but it hits the spot everytime. They sell them both hot and cold. Hot is perfect if you are eating it right away, and the cold packaged ones were perfect to bring home back to California. If you are visiting Hawaii, don't sleep on the 7-11 food! I learned they are managed under the 7-11 Japan umbrella, which is way it's a world above the 7-11s we have on the mainland. read more

The ladies here are usually really nice but I'm of age to buy alcohol it shows on my state ID. They are unable to take vertical ID even though I am of age. This is the 7-11 located next to the Kapolei Police Station. Service -1 Cleanliness -1 Safe -1 Product selection 3 (In case you misread that, those are Negative ones) On this particular occasion I was harassed by 2 homeless people. One even before I got into the store and the second while I was getting my coffee and breakfast. I didn't expect to be verbally harassed while the sales girl just stood there and watched it happen. He cursed at me then left the store. I have never felt so scared before, and again your sales person says absolutely nothing. Doesn't even acknowledge what just happened. So as I'm paying for my items, I ask her if I'm gonna be safe returning to my car, she says nothing and stares at me with indifference. So sad that 7-11 hires people that don't care about the safety of its customers. After paying for my items, I quickly head to my car paying close attention to my surroundings. I see the guy who was swearing at me walking away from the store just as the Phoenix Security car arrives at the store to do their check in. To add insult to injury I mention to the old man security guard what had just happened to me in the store pointing to the guy who did it, and he dismissively says "he's fine when he's on his meds" that's all he says. So how about when he's off his meds??? Doesn't have any empathy for what I just went thru. Just brushed me off like he didn't care. 7-11, my experience at this this store was the WORST experience I've ever had. I hope no one else goes thru what I went thru. Your employees and your hired security company needs to be re-trained on how to handle situations like this and maybe, just maybe, care enough for your customers safety so we come back. This location doesn't have the fresh smoothie machine. However, they had exactly what I was looking they'd have! And it was the opposite chocolate of the whatchamacallit and long and beyond -- they had it so I was super happy!! They also have something new now which is their Powerade water. read more

It's been awhile since I've stopby 7-11 stores, but this place always impresses me. Beside soft drinks and snacks, they have a new section (to me, anyway) saimin and Vietnamese pho. I remember the days where we just bought candy, slurpee, and burritos, now they got almost Everything you can think of. The gas station is convenient too. Great selection of food, friendly customer service and the place is pretty clean. I think this is a great place to hit for a quick snack.

First off slow cashiers and workers. Very rude and not well disciplined. I asked if I could you my discount card for gas they said bo but then I asked why and they claim that it's not for all Hele gas stations only certain ones. I also put my number in to lower the price and it didn't. I don't use credit card to put gas so the gas was still high at the regular price. I think it should be across the. Lard to be consistent. I'm usually pretty satisfied with my quick stops to 7-eleven, but I have to give this a one star review because of what I found in my lemon peel package. As you can see in my photos, there's a dead fly with its tongue sticking out. We decided to empty out the whole bag to see if there was anything else and we also found a leaf. Both were seasoned so it looked like it was sitting pretty long. Super grossed out and who knows what else was in there. I did see on the packaging that it is a product of Taiwan and not made in Hawaii, but nonetheless ruined my appetite. read more

7-Eleven Hawaii located across of Zippy's in Kapolei and next to the Kapolei Police Station parking lot. It is not located in Ewa Beach. Street address is correct but not the city. I stepped foot into the 7-Eleven Kapolei location to pick up a monthly adult bus pass. Employees greeted me as I walked into the store. Customers were inside getting their morning coffee or standing in line to pay for gas. I walked around the store before I stood in line. I noticed that the store carried certain drinks that I have never seen before. I was on the search for 1893 ginger cola but didn't find any. I then stood in line and asked for the adult bus pass. Cash or credit/debit cards are accepted at the location. This 7-Eleven location has the 76 gasoline. I'm curious if the gas station will remain as a 76 or be rebranded as Hele. 150/200 read more

Around 430 this afternoon we went into the store which was really busy at that no parking to go in to get something waiting for a few minutes then we parked and went inside to get snack I looked around I noticed the store was a little dirty when to the cold food lots of choices. They also have a special buy 3 musubi get one free. We then went in line to pay for our items as I was standing there I watched one of the employees pick up rubbish put it in the trash and she pushed the trash down then went back to work with out washing her hands I was like wow was going to say something but I didn't. This location is located between Zippys Kapolei and the Kapolei Police Station There are only four gasoline pumps and it's a pretty tight area maybe 5 parking stalls total and this place stays pretty busy constantly. I don't usually gas up here because there's rarely an open pump. But I occasionally come in here to get a hotdog or snacks. I bought large ice coffee, the cups was there but when I looked for a cover there was none. I tried the big gulp cover it went over but did not seal good. I normally only go to 7-11s for the coffee and maybe some donuts or snacks for the kiddies. I've been trying to visit multiple locations because they don't all have the same things. I guess variety is good too. So the ewa location currently has the smores flavor cappuccino I love! Whereas kapolei location (I live closer to) doesn't have it =(... on the occasion when I grab a donut, they're always good esp with the coffee. Just recently I've started a coffee punch card, so after so many coffee purchases I should get a free one... awesome. Workers over there are ratchet, no customer service. Waited for about a minute, no acknowledgment of customers in front of them. The credit machine was down and I had to wait, and they all laughed like it was a joke. For those who know me, know that I am a fan of 7-Eleven. I love to pick up a sushi roll, bento or whatever else I may be craving. I've been to this location several times while I'm in the area. Parking can be difficult as there is only about 8 stalls and they are usually almost always full. Granted people are coming and going, but it can be difficult at times. Location is usually pretty clean. It is fairly new looking and they have all the normal things that 7-Eleven carry including the newer stuff (pizza, egg rolls, etc.). I don't typically buy those but maybe others enjoy the variety. I'd like to share about my most recent experience I had there which occurred earlier this week. I was in the middle of my work day and feeling the after lunch crash. I tried to look for my usual energy drink but could only find it warm and not in the chiller. Noooo!! I went up to an employee (Teresita?) who was in the middle of heating food to ask if they had any cold drinks. She looked torn between waiting for her food and helping me. She decided to help me and off she went to the back. She came back out with one can. I felt bad asking for another but it was a 2/$3. She kindly went back in the cooler and grabbed me another one. I usually come to 7-11 for coffee but I sometimes get hungry look at their breakfast bentos. I love the Filipino sausage eggs and rice. It's delish and the amount of food is perfect enough to start your day with something in your belly. I also like the fresh donuts and spicy tuna sushi. I recommend it if you like sushi. The service is always friendly. Go early before the school kids because it does get crowded! read more

I must say, I rarely complain about any services even if it's relatively below average so it takes a lot of mistreatment by the same individual repeatedly. I HIGHLY recommend the company sends her to a customer service class. She is rude, doesn't greet you, told me I needed to wait 20 minutes because she didn't have enough change in her drawer without apologizing. It was my fault for paying with a large bill as she was trying to make me feel badl. That was taken care of by a helpful manager. The worst part of this experience is how she packaged my merchandise. She placed it all in one bag which was fine with me. How she placed it made me furious enough to call the manager to file a complaint. She placed my musubi next to a heavier item, along with a set of batteries which can be toxic especially packaged with food. It would've been fine using common sense to package the musubi in a separate small bag and likewise with the batteries. The musubi was smashed by the time I got home and the batteries were soaked being placed next to a drink from the condensation. Luckily the case around the batteries didn't get soaked thru. The batteries probably wouldn't be useful and I would return the entire transaction not knowing if the food exposure could've became toxic. I was upset enough to where I didn't want to return my merchandise for an exchange, but I did file a complaint about this situation. Don't want to mention her name but I will mention Mercedes, the manager, handled it professionally. Apparently, I'm not the 1st person she mistreated!! This 7-11 is very busy in the early morning. There sometimes is a line that extends to the back of the store when paying for your items. They have lots of help running around behind the counter, but only 1 person working the cash registers.(sometimes 2). Then one of them will do something else and you still have only one ringing up people. The parking lot is very small, so people aren't moving their cars fast enough because they're in line inside the store.
