This place has been a bad experience all around. The food is okay and expected of any 7/11. It also has the same layout. It is clean but the biggest issue here is the staff. The staff here has been very rude each time I have been here. They either are inattentive and do not really care about ringing you up or just super pissed off. I was just getting a slurpee and the guy yelled at me when I only filled it up 80 percent of the cup. He said I was making a mess when I wasnt close to overfilling. Afterwards he disappeared and took forever to come back and ring me up. Honestly I would just avoid this place. It is not worth the headache for any food or drinks. this used to be the best 7 eleven in all of San Jose, that is up until management changed, now it is easily the worst in the city because one guy who works there doesn't know how to respect customers and hes there pretty much all the time or every time I been which has been mainly at night. the past two times I have been to this location I have had the WORST experiences MAINLY because of this one worker (taller Indian guy) and this guy has been the most disrespectful and rude person I have ever come across at any 7/11 establishment. I went into the store and got two 20oz sodas. 2 for $4.29. Used my rewards account and when I looked at the receipt I noticed that I was over charged. I went back inside showed my reciept and the cashier argued I didn't use my #, I showed where I clearly used my phone number and the cashier continued to argue. First of all, this review is probably rather biased because I used to work there a few years ago. I also make no claim that the stuff I write below still happens. Hopefully not, of course. The vice mayor of Milpitas and his then-wife, Bob and Sheila, used to own the store and upon divorce, the wife bought the store. She also had (or has) another 7-Eleven store in Milpitas. The parents of the mayor (the grandpa and grandma, Joe and his wife) still helped around with the accounting. The manager back then was Sheila's sister, Sue. Don't get me wrong. I did like working there. Only one thing that bothered me though... You know... some of irresponsible customers like to just go to the Slurpee machine, grabbed the cup, Slurpee tasting it and left the cup there next to the machine. They may not buy it at all, or sometimes they do buy it, they may just take a new cup and left the previous one there. Well, all those cups do cost the store money and if that keeps happening, pretty soon it will add up to a big number. Then, you may ask... Why doesn't the employee "shoo" them away? Here is why: (Note: In this store, only 1 person works for the entire 8 hour shift.) 1). Since I was alone, I can not always keep my eyes on the Slurpee machine. I may be out to the back room (briefly) to get more stock on cigarettes or in the walk-in fridge to stock more beverages. I may be making coffee, or I maybe in the bathroom. Sure, they have camera, but who's going to sue someone wasting Slurpee cups. 2). Since I was alone, I also did not want to piss off customer. Let's say if the customer were a big scrawny guy? Ha! Anyway, since that apparently kept happening and started to eat up the store inventory, I was asked (by the grandma) to wash the plastic cup at the back, dried them and put them back in those cup holder. I came here on Thursday night to pick up a Moneygram on my way home that my cousin from Canada had sent me. I went inside and asked the man behind the register if I could pick it up and he and another worker said that Moneygrams are not available at the store, only money orders. I had double checked the Moneygram website, and this location is listed as a moneygram location. As I was about to leave I looked at the ATM in the corner and saw the Moneygram logo, so I decided to give it a try to see if I could get the money out, but you have to call the 1-800 number on the machine first and talk to somene in a call-center in India first and you have to provide a ton of information to him before he will release the money to the machine. I went in there to buy a small carton of ice cream and upon bringing it home I opened it to find that half the ice cream was inedible because it had melted and then been refrozen. I took it back and showed the worker the receipt and how the ice cream looked and asked for them to let me exchange it or to give me my money back.
