First, superrrrr appreciative that they took sizing of banh mi's bc usually I can never finish them. The pork belly with extra pate was sooo good and a great brunch meal. Obviously you can't go wrong with sugarcane and the croffle was super tasty as well. I'd probably get another cream / etc to pair with it as the matcha one was flavorless. The drinks here are decent. I've tried the sugarcane drink, a matcha drink, and a milk tea, and they're all pretty average. Nothing really stands out, but they get the job done if you're just looking for a quick drink. The biggest downside is the location and overall atmosphere. The shop shares a space with a Chevron gas station, and it doesn't have its own restroom. When I asked, I was told to use the Chevron bathroom, which felt unusual for a tea shop. The café also isn't the most comfortable place to hang out. I stopped by during a heat wave once and decided to stay for a bit, but it was still hot inside. I don't think the A/C was running, so I ended up leaving sooner than I planned. I could see myself grabbing a drink to go if I were already stopping for gas or just happened to be driving by. But personally, I'd rather drive a few minutes down the street to Barber Lane, where there are several other tea shops with better drinks and a more comfortable atmosphere. The cream they pair it with is the same cream for drinks, not like chantilly cream or something. I didnt enjoy the durian cream with the croffle, but it might be better with the other creams. I ended up pouring the durian cream into the roasted rice milk tea and it was *chefs kiss* Roasted rice milk tea 5/5 : i got less ice and 50% sweet and the roasted scent was so fragrant still. Color of the matcha looked very promising, but the flavor comes off more floral to me, which makes me feel like the tea is more toward a green tea vs matcha. I also felt that the pandan foam had a great texture but flavor fell short and tasted pretty light. A new milk tea shop called Brew & Banh Mi Cafe takes over where Bayleaf Tea used to occupy next to the Chevron Market. The parking spots are few, so that makes the parking challenging. Remodeled and asthesticly pleasing and relaxing with cushioned seats and tables to relax at. The restroom is in the gas station market. The service was super friendly and helpful. I wasn't sure what to get and he patiently explained some of the drinks that had banana and the type. The menu selection is quite large. Tried this place on a whim and ordered via Uber Eats. I was in the mood for some strong coffee and wanted to try something new. I can't speak to the banh mi but my coffee was pretty good. I really enjoyed the red velvet foam coffee. Great flavor and strong coffee, the tastes were well balanced. I also tried the banana blended ice coffee drink. Not much parking and while we were there, they ended up getting a lunch rush so it can get a bit busy. Workers are really nice. There's an ipad to order on your own but they'll also take your order.
