Angel, in the meat department, took my request to get rib eyes cut a little thicker than the steaks that were in the case. He brought out a whole prime rib roast, asked how I wanted them cut proceeded to work on my order. He could have easily thrown them in paper but asked me how I wanted them packaged. WOW!! I was so impressed with this young man. I ran into the store manager while waiting. He seemed to be making rounds and asked if I was being taken care of. I told him that Angel was working on our order and paid him a compliment. We walked around and picked up a few more items, and were on our way. I have such a warm feeling of this store, today. Thanks to the employees including the cashier. GREAT WORK STATER!!! Please give Angel a raise!

Sometimes you just want a certain amount of a product and that is the best way to go. They have a fresh sushi bar! Unfortunately they are always out of spicy tuna so I haven't gotten sushi there in quite a while. If they had spicy tuna on the shelf I'd buy sushi every time I was shopping there. One thing that I like about the produce department is that they have fresh vegetables. They're vegetables are not inexpensive but they're good and I like that they always have eggplant. I never see artichokes there though. Their fruit department has something left to be desired. The only consistent tasting fruits are apples and oranges. Most of the time their offerings of berries and tomatoes are tasteless or old. That being said, this is still the best place to go for most of your groceries. You will save oodles of money if you shop here on a consistent basis. It's awesome that it's an employee owned company! You would think that would give the employees a better attitude but unfortunately there are not that many smiling faces working there. I wonder what goes on behind the scenes with management. All in all, I sure hope WinCo isn't leaving the area anytime soon. No place is perfect and despite some of the issues they have I would be very sad if I couldn't go shopping there anymore.
