This stater bros produce sucks I got 2 rotten spaghetti squash with roots growing in one and the other was soft in spots with liquid coming out of it. There wasn't even a good selection to choose from. Pretty sad The same thing happened at the canyon hills store in Lake Elsinore too. Roots were growing in the squash, seeds. My dinner was ruined due to 4 bad spaghetti squash from both locations. So gross! read more

9/9/25 3:30 Tuesday We've been Stater Bros., customers, for over 35 years. I've always had great visits, but today was exceptional, prompting this review. Angel, in the meat department, took my request to get rib eyes cut a little thicker than the steaks that were in the case. He brought out a whole prime rib roast, asked how I wanted them cut proceeded to work on my order. He could have easily thrown them in paper but asked me how I wanted them packaged. WOW!! I was so impressed with this young man. I ran into the store manager while waiting. He seemed to be making rounds and asked if I was being taken care of. I told him that Angel was working on our order and paid him a compliment. We walked around and picked up a few more items, and were on our way. I have such a warm feeling of this store, today. This one seems smaller than the one in temecula. I don't like the doors being so far apart from each other. There are 2 entrances and they'll close one at night, so I have to walk all the way to the other end. It just seems like a far walk. Lol! I told him what I was looking for, and he helped me find it, but not only that he went above and beyond because I asked them if there's any way that they can cut it for me and he went back and cut it for me I thought they had a machine or something, but he actually cut it by hand. On my recent visit to Stater Bros. to buy groceries and chicken. I forgot to pre-order my 30 pounds of chicken I typically purchase each week from the butcher department. They only had around 5 pounds available for me. I continued my shopping and got all of the items I was looking for. As I approached the checkout, I saw my butcher Jaylen running up to the front with a huge package of meat. He said he found another 10 pounds for me. I was so impressed with his service and finding me. In the checkout I told my checker Cindy B how the butcher ran an extra package of meat up to me. she let me know it was Jayden who helped me out. This location has always been very good! Especially the meat department because they actually ask if they can be of service. I went today to get some chuck steaks because the meat quality at all the Stater locations are great. Whenever they had ribeye steaks or roasts on sale it's a MUST! Produce is fresh and there is fresh cut veggies and fruit if you are in a rush. Thank you for carrying my favorite dip, Daisy already made French onion dip & ranch dip. I have only found this dip @ Whole Foods. Also, the deli department is well staffed and all meats & other items delicious. I had asked Marcus to keep an out for a whole chicken that was larger than most of what they get in. He did and he called me, just like he said he would, put 2 a side for me. I feel like maybe I just need to stay away from Stater Bros. and stick with Amazon Fresh or Von's. They have some of the most unfriendly and rude cashiers. Just left and our cashier Kyndalle (may have spelled it wrong). Her description, dark skinned, box braids, and she worked on 11-10-24 at 1pm at the 15 items or less line. Didn't greet us, scanned our items and threw them in the bag and she got irritated when I asked her to put everything in just 1 bad. Handed me my receipt without eye contact and proceeded to scan the man's items in back of me. I told her to have a better day and to brighten up; she rolled her eyes. I spend way too much money at this store to always leave with a cashier being rude. Perhaps she was mad she had to come in to work as we were her first customers as she'd just clocked in. I have always loved this Stater Bros or all Stater Bros for that matter. However, u need to Yelp about today's experience. I usually go here weekdays afternoon or weekend mornings. Not very impressed w JAWN at the butcher area. Went to grab 2 beef shoulder clods and asked him to slice them thin. His reply, "Ummm... it's not gonna be good, I don't have a slicer back here. You could take it to the deli, they have a slicer back there but I don't think they'll do it. The butcher left for the day but he'll be back tomorrow morning. You can come back tomorrow morning and he can slice it for you. If I slice it it's bot gonna be good." 1. He suggested I take it to the deli!?!! Wtf kind of answer is that!!?!?! Of course they're not gonna do it bc the deli deals w COOKED FOOD!! I work in microbiology and I highly doubt the FDA would be happy about that comment!! 2. Lazy.... it was obvious this kid is lazy... he kept insisting that "it's not gonna be good" if he cuts it. Why in the hell do you work in the butcher shop then if you can't cut meat!?!? Wtf!!??! 3. I use the online pickup services regularly. The online ordering service is well worthwhile. The quality of food is hand picked by stater brothers employees and they reach out to you directly via text for easy substitutions. If I forgot anything on my order I can text my shopper, and they add it to my order. I also tried Amazonfresh and they gave me expired jelly, and k-cups instead of coffee grounds...I don't have a Kurieg. With stater brothers I really feel like I'm working with a shopper who cares about what they put in my car at pick up. Spencer, Anthony, Lazarus, Andrew and Austin have all done a fantastic job servicing my pick ups over the last 3+ years and I can't thank the whole team at stater brothers enough for offering a great service. This Stator Bros has been my go to supermarket for a while now. I have yet to have a negative experience and the employees are always friendly. I came in today around 4pm to do my usually weekly shop and as I finished loading up my car I realize I had locked my keys and cell phone in the trunk of my car. My heart dropped to my stomach as I had my 5 year old and 18 months old with me. I went inside to ask for a phone to use so that I could get ahold of someone to get my car unlocked. I asked the first two employees at the entrance that I came across. I wish I would have gotten her name, but a young lady with dark hair and light complexion without a second of hesitation offered her phone. She was so beyond kind and so willing to help a stranger. Service Deli- Delicious case of meats/cheese, salads, hot foods etc. Butcher shop- love their seasoned meats. We've purchased at other stores, they just don't taste the same.
